I have to give a big hat off to my Bitterlake Home Depot. We have been going here for a long time and teasingly call it (after remodels and various home projects) our second home. Recently we moved onto a boat. The ONLY refrigerator we could find to fit into our unique space was at Home Depot Online. Some online products do not fall under the delivery (into home)/installation/removal (of old appliance) process. So after some calls to our Bitterlake Home Depot a manager there, Jeanelle, made it happen for us. When our appliance was delivered by the contracted delivery company she made sure two of her Home Depot people were here at the marina to help us get it on to our boat and take away the old one. WHAT service!!!. I have always had a good experience with thisHome Depot (yes, it can be difficult to find floor help, but only when it is very busy). Our trick is to go during the very early or later open hours. When we need help we get great service and if they cant not help they are quick to find another who can. Everyone there also seems happy. Which reminds me last Christmas holiday we found the perfect (only one left) plant arrangement. Paid for it but the store policy is "no plants can be held" so this floor guy (I think his name was Roy) kind of "tucked" it away for us so we could run back home to get our truck. It is still our second home... oh and one other thing... the other day I did some price comparisons between this Home Depot and the other big place up the street and they were either the same or less expensive. Thanks Bitterlake Home Depot! Teresa

This Home Depot provided me with the most horrific experience Ive had at a hardware store, EVER. The staff at returns lied to me, were completely rude, and acted illegally just so I couldnt return anything just for store credit. Even the manager was awful, unhelpful and blamed their mistake on me!!!!! I have never been treated so poorly before. DO NOT shop here. Avoid it at all costs. The Home Depot in West Seattle on Delridge is the complete opposite, They are actually helpfull and do their jobs there. Home Depot on Aurora and 115th ish is so PATHETIC and their employees are so unintelligent and dont even try to make things right to provide any sort of customer service. I was so appalled at my treatment there. I cant tell you how disprectful they were. I was approved for my returns but they lied to me and told me I wasnt, twice. So I was left with thousands of dollars of left over materials from a remodel and cant even exchange it for the paint I need to finish the job now. They accused me of theft and I had even called ahead to make sure it was ok and then drove all the way there from Vashon Island. Totally unacceptable!!!!!! They refused to remedy their intentional refusal of my exchange and the manager just kept saying he couldnt do anything. UGH!!!!!! worst day ever!!!!!

I had a friend of mine return an item here for me. He forgot to grab the receipt from me, but returned it anyway using his identification. He got store credit instead of the cash I had spent there. I really didnt mind because I do a lot of shopping at the home Depot. However when I purchased things at the home Depot nowhere in the store or in there return policy does it say that any item returned without a receipt will receive in store credit and that credit must be used by the person who originally returned it. I cannot use the store credit myself now and my friend does not live in Washington. He was just visiting from California. so it seems that the home Depot stole three hundred dollars from me. I am angry that I am out this money, and all the employee could say was sorry... How about informing your patrons of this rediculous policy. If the home Depot is doing so poorly that they have to scan there hard working customers out of there hard earned money then I do not need to shop here anymore!!!

Useless trying to get tools before 5am before your random new job position in construction. They do got stuff, but kind of hard to find the rare certain things like the rebar ties and the hand tool. Also I was looking for a rebar Bender/cutter and got forwarded to unsure Isles and still havent seen such a tool to exist in home depot. Better than ace hardware though, home depot had the heaviest framing hammer (22oz or 24oz?) And better prices than ace hardware, only having 16oz? Bald head hammers. Forget Lowes, they fail at organizing products in the store... Dont forget, there are a group of skilled workers that hang out in the front home depot ready for hire... When I was younger, it was this home depot I never wanted to work at because of how b-word-chy the one staff I met. Later I met a Lowes hiring staff, hecks no, Ill deal with the home depot than the fail at Lowes up the street.

Usually I would only take to time to bash a bad experience at store, but today I went to this Home Depot and was treated very kindly in the paint department. The employee Chuck Matalone in the Paint Department, was so nice and empathetic to a bad experience I had at another Home Depot in Bellevue. He went out of his way to Google info I needed to get my project finished and even emailed it to me. He went around the store to find out if I needed any other help. I did not realize he is also a manager until I saw his email, but I really had to say how very nice and helpful he was with me. Honestly, I have felt ignored in the past at hardware stores. It really does depend on the employee and there are some good people out there too. It made such a difference to have someone not treat me like I was inconveniencing them to ask for help.

I frequently place custom service orders for in-store pickup here. Most times they never call to say the orders are ready (despite telling us they will). Most recently I was picking up an order and spent over an hour at the service desk waiting for them to get the order and sorting out other issues. On top of these delays (which I have noticed to be normal) I tried to cash some rebates that I had gotten off of a previous purchase here and was told they didnt exist. After I asked for a Manager, they didnt get one. Just one example of this establishment failing to demonstrate basic customer service. Ill be ordering from Lowes from now on.

Recently, they have added these invasive security cameras to certain locations within the store. The cameras have a screen that will show you being recorded with an image of a guy in the corner who is watching you. To make matters worse, after about 5 seconds of standing in front of them (as you normally would to locate and select a product) they start a chime to remind you that they are watching you. This has a second hazardous effect for even if you were trying to ignore the camera, the chime disrupts your concentration making selecting a product very difficult. If a company cannot trust me, then I have no business with them.
