I have been a long term member of PCC so I have seen many changes in it over the 20 or so years I shopped there. Imagine the fact that people used to be able to work there and then get a discount for food they needed; those days are LONG GONE. While the quality is good, it costs an arm and a leg to shop there. They have two discount days in midmonth, but that hardly makes up for the costs everyday especially for low income folks like me. For many seasonal organic fruits--$4 a pound is not unusal, so I go to Trader Joes now for many organic items as it is way more affordable. I shop at PCC generally for the things I just cant get anywhere else. It is probably fine for people in this area making $100k per year, but mostly for people of moderate or low income--they could not afford it. And on this point they are not particularly open to hearing about it either. They say on their website: "Greenlake PCC - Everyone is welcome at PCC Natural Markets — your local, natural market." Everyone is welcome, but prices eliminate people who dont have so much to spend--people who arent rich. There is a self selection process at work. I called once to ask if they would give me veggies they might discard to make things like soup stock. They were not even open to that. PCC--my how you have changed, and not in a good way either. It seems you lost your soul in competing with Whole Foods.

Hands down the place to consistently get high-quality produce and bulk items. Its nice that PCC does their best to make sure everything they carry is organic, sustainably produced and supportive of local farms wherever possible but even if that all gets thrown out, the food here is just *better*. Staff at every PCC that Ive ever been to are uniformly knowledge and pleasant without feeling forced. Always feel a little better after stopping in. You wont find typical large-scale food company products here so you *will* have to go elsewhere for most of your junk food cravings but for anyone cooking their own food on a regular basis, find yourself a PCC. This particular location is pretty cramped. A positive for me as it means getting through grocery shopping faster but something to keep in mind before stopping in.

This is definitely my favorite grocery store in the area. Ive tried others but always end up disappointed in the selection. PCC is a store I feel like I can trust when it comes to delivering quality products from quality sources. They are also very involved in empowering local farmers and spreading awareness on important issues relating to organic standards and agriculture controversies. PCC also provides cooking classes which includes a very informative cooking lesson and a meal to follow. Basically this place is awesome, and the staff is super friendly and helpful!

One of the smaller PCC in the area, however, it is still a gem of grocery store. Unbeatable customer service and produce selection! I literally salivate at the freshness of their produce. This place makes Whole Foods look like a Safeway. My only suggested areas of improvement for this store: A) Use more organic ingredients in their deli food and use higher quality ingredients (Himalayan sea salt, etc.) B) Obtain cleaner ingredient products in their beauty department (free of PEG, sodium benzoate, synthetic fragrance, etc.).

Not a big fan of the layout of the store. Produce section often seems dirty rather than farm fresh. I like the PCC on the other side of the lake better. Most products I shop here for are on the expensive side and can be found elsewhere nereby for a more reasonable price, but it is a short walk from work when I dont pack a lunch or if I need to buy something random for cash back.

okay but their Stephs Tofu is always so burned itd inedible! and thats my favorite. But the staff is pretty great, most of them. My husband asked one of them if the mangos were good right now and the guy just grabbed a knife and gave him a piece to try, then he gave him a whole mango for free which was totally sweet. I prefer Kirklands PCC still though.

Great variety of produce and other items. Has a natural makeup section and offers many things organic. Prices are pretty reasonable, though certain items are very expensive like the pre cut fruits. Especially appreciated the smaller sized pre cut deli cheese for a few dollars - perfect for a picnic

PCC, while slightly overpriced, does offer a great range of natural, organic produce and food options. This location is nearly tucked into a neighborhood, and has a cozy, local feel to it. Wonderful hot-bar items are available; amazing soup options. Good service too!

A little pricier than your local Safeway or Fred Meyer, but worth it for the consistent quality and amazing selection of items in a seemingly small store. Small hot bar, soups, fresh bread, full deli with dessert, and as always super friendly staff.

Amazing cheese selection. Excellent hot, fresh delicious deli items including vegan and gluten free options. Prices are quite a bit higher than big box grocery stores. But there are more healthy options here.

Pretty small selection and the parking situation is horrendous (be prepared to do laps). Like all PCCs, its great for a few items, but most of the goods are overpriced. The bulk is the key.

$30 grass fed steaks. Great produce and a lot of hot girls in sundresses who care about sustainable food. Dont forget your reusable, free market hemp fiber grocery bags from your bike.

PCC has an inspiring deli; I recommend this as a casual lunch spot. Specialty and artisan food and drink can be found here. The produce is fresh, and the clerks are helpful and pleasant.

I remember the old location at the bottom of 65th. This place is slightly larger. Parking is for Hybrids and Yugos. Not for the rest of us that drive normal American size cars

This is not a co-op. If u want a co-op drive to Mt Vernon, Olympia or Portland. Good tortillas (leonas) &oatmeal before 11am for1.50 is the last cheap meal in seattle.

I love PCC and this is one of my preferred locations. The deli is especially tasty here, the selection is thorough and the produce department really shines here too.

Its a fairly small PCC store, and the selection in the deli isnt quite as good. However what they do have is delicious, and all the produce is fresh as always.

Hands down the best PCC in Seattle. Larger store with huge deli, ample meat selections and a home-goods + beauty section. Free parking. No brainer.
