Used to be a regular here, but never returning. 11:25 PM. Id come here after a session of hard exercise and eager to get some quality, healthy food. And that it generally is. But I was met with a few surprises, each of which was more unpleasant than the one before. First, staff opened the wall (actually an overhead door of metal and glass) next to my table and began to move all the surrounding tables and chairs outside, then asked me if the unbagged chicken and milk Id just purchased and was sitting on the table is mine. That made me feel more than a little uncomfortable, so I moved outside, since thats where all the tables were being put. Then as Im eating, one of the store security guards comes to chat, asking in a very non-convincing tone, "Are you alright?" Yeah, young dude with a crew cut, I just bought $20 of food, some of which was prepared food which I took the time to reheat in the microwave and am now peacefully eating. And you sincerely want to know if Im "alright"? If this place has a problem of poor people trying to steal food from it, maybe the management can come up with some possibly less alienating means of preventing that? Plenty of healthy food here, but this was the worst grocery store experience Ive ever had.

Used to be more reasonably priced for local fresh products. Its still a good store with great selection of organic goods, but the prices are now ridiculous, higher than Whole Foods, effectively pricing lower-income families out of reach. I also find their staff snobby and unhelpful. One time my wife and I saw an older gentleman looking at the hot food counters whom was dressed a bit shaggy. He was clean otherwise. No one even wanted to help him even though he was certainly going to be a customer. We called the staff member over and got him what he needed. He HAD the money to pay for it. It turned out he was homeless but he used to be a degreed engineer whose wife fell on hard time (medically). After she passed, the bill caused him to become homeless. We eventually escorted him through the aisles and bought him everything he needed, just food and some toiletries. I helped him find a job a week later. That incident left a really bad taste in my mouth for PCC. A friend of mine, prior to his untimely death, was a Board member at PCC. It was great then, a truly community focused store. Now, it seems to be just another absurdly priced, snobby palace going after money and not much else.

A few weeks ago I was trying to gather ingredients for a new recipe. I am a frequent shopper at PCC and have always received fast and courteous service. This particular time I was unfamiliar with several of the ingredients. I asked a PCC employee for some information regarding cheeses. This gentleman helped me with the proper unfamiliar cheeses that I needed. After discussing my recipe with him, he gave me some suggestion that I might try to make an even tastier dish (which, by the way, worked). He not only made suggestion but walked about the store to help me find everything that I needed. This all blew me away. I have told everyone that will listen to me about my wonderful experience at the Fremont store. Your employees certainly go above and beyond. This one in particular. By the way his name is Raymond. Thank you Rayond and thank you PCC. Sincerely, Carol Comer

Proximity forgives all faults for this place. Even if we didnt live so close I would still like this store for the service. I get the sense that the higher prices arent just paying the food suppliers but also the employees because of their long term staff. The produce guys know where the tomatoes came from, or when artichokes are in season. The beer and wine stewards are extremely knowledgeable without being pushy. Their selection isnt going to be as vast as Fred Meyers but they make up for it in quality options. The prepared foods are fairly priced as long as you dont buy something from the hot case thats mostly water like lasagna. Their chana masala recipe is particularly good.

Really great looking produce, beer & wine choices good, bakery is great & hot foods generally good, soup though generally bit bland, definitely not first choice hot pizza offerings actually quite tasty seating inside handy, beware as table tops are worn out floppy, outside covered seating handy in summer & winter time heaters and a canvas windbreak can make this cozy but the tables again are flimsy bathrooms here are kept up, awesome not recommended: the drip coffee, ranks among the poorest weve had among northwest offerings complained nicely several times but to no fruition. real bonehead motives for something so simple to upgrade

This a very well organized natural food co-op. The aisles are wide for moving around and selecting products. Inside the store there is a deli counter with an original tasty selection of salads, meats and ethnic items. There is a soup bar. The organic vegetables and fruits are superior in appearance and taste. When the cashiers are busy, there are self-critical machines with in person help. It is conveniently located in Fremont close to major bus lines. There is a parking garage downstairs with wheelchair accessible elevator to get upstairs to the store.

Love love love! Whats not to love about an all natural neighborhood food store. For first timers - dont forget to make your way all the way to the very back for the delicious do-it yourself salad bar! Downside - The grocery store itself is kind of like a maze, and can be a little claustrophobic at times.. I find myself constantly bumping into other patrons. If you can get over that you will pretty much like everything they sell here! The hot food is also delicious, and in the mornings they have breakfast items as well!

I stopped in this store on July 24th and walked over to the produce section looking for some cherries, I looked all over and finally decided to politely ask the staff member working in the produce section where I could find the cherries. He rudely answered me saying we dont have any nor will we have anymore for the rest of the season, then went right back to work never missing a beat. Needless to say I went elsewhere and wont be shopping here in the future.

As far as product quality goes, I give PCC 5 stars, but pricing and customer service I give 3 stars. When bringing to the attention that a particular brand of English muffins I had purchased a couple of times had been moldy I didnt get a free replacement. I was given a package from the back freezer to purchase. Having a background in customer service at a grocery store I was really disappointed. I dont feel like customers should beg for obvious service.

I went in to PCC in a rush to buy water, I was turned away by a person named Stephanie. Why? Apparently I was too drunk to buy water.... I suppose this is just a bonus for nearly two years of patronage. I am considering a lawsuit due to economic discrimination. In any case you are likely to see me picketing the store soon, Ive had it with self important grocery store managers that treat loyal customers like garbage.

I love going into this PCC when I am visiting my son as I usually frequent my neighborhood Edmonds PCC. I love all the healthy products they offer including a large assortment of vegan items. Walking into PCC is a delight to the senses with all the products beautifully displayed and knowing that by shopping here you are getting the best of the best.
