A few years back I did some price comparisons between Safeway, Top Foods, and Fred Meyer. I expected there might be some slight price differences - maybe a dime or two - between the costs of the grocery products I commonly bought. To my surprise, Fred Meyer was MUCH less expensive, sometimes by more than a dollar on something like a package of cookies (same brand and size). Whats more, the difference in price wasnt just between FMs price and the other stores "non-member" prices - Fred Meyer was even cheaper than their "club" prices. I respect the fact that Freddys isnt trying to gouge the customer by forcing them to sign up for "purchase tracking" cards like the other stores, yet is still able to offer their products at lower prices. Plus, their department store offers SO much more than the grocery-only stores - its great to get so much shopping done at one spot, even if I have to drive a bit further to get there.

After I came in the store, (clearance outside...I got called a cow by another shopper, so I was not in a good mood), I looked around inside. I was followed throughout the store by security. They were on top of me for no reason. Six different security people would follow me around one at a time. One guy was so close, he knocked over the purses. A lady stood there and stared at me the entire time I was picking out cereal. There were many people at that store. The only thing I could think of is that I have tattoos. I know it doesnt matter to them if they lose one customer, but I feel like I should say something. They were in my personal space. When I mentioned this to the cashier, he laughed at me. Im done with this store.

The store is more rundown than many other Fred Meyers, even though it was renovated not that long ago. Their product selection is different from most others as well, without the higher end goods and with less selection of brands and varieties of goods. This store tends to be more crowded and have narrower aisles as well, with some having support beams blocking a section of the pathway. They try hard here, and staff are friendly, but they can only do so much. The building itself is just too small and isnt built to house a store like this.

Great store. Friendly staff. Clean produce area. Their produce prices are the best around - sometimes organic is the same price as conventional. Good selection of natural/specialty food items for those with special diets, but this part of the store is quite expensive. However, I still shop here often for the produce prices. Mainly I buy small produce and household items here, and get most other items at Costco.

I worked at this Fred Meyer store for 6+ yrs. in NCR and in HABA (Health & Beauty). This place was great to be working at, even though it is a smaller store than most. Everyone there was really good and helpfull. People from other Fred Meyer stores would call my store to see if I would help them out. I was all over the globe to help. I was the only one that had an "Angel" behind them.

This Fred Meyer is pretty sketchy. Its not very clean, its cramped and crowded, and it doesnt feel safe. Even the non-expensive jeans are padlocked to the shelves. I was assisted by one person who smelled very bad, and its hard to not get claustrophobic with how small the isles are; especially when theyre busy. Id recommend hitting up another department store if you have the option.

This is my local Fred Meyer. It feels smaller than most Freddys but the layout is just longer with a lower ceiling, so its really the same size. No back entrance/exit. Honestly, on the outside it looks sketchier than most Fred Meyers but its perfectly fine inside. Same service Im used to, same items, same cleanliness. Ill keep going here as long as its close.

Very strange layout. Looks much like a Macys when you first enter. Very different from other Fred Meyers. With that said, nothing wrong with this place. They have ample parking and a diverse selection of almost everything. Just the lack of effort on their end to make it look like a Fred Meyer (or even Kroger) instead of a Macys is annoying.

Great location and they basically have everything I need. Plus there is frozen yogurt and menchies right next door. Not so long ago I used to avoid this place because the lines sucked. They have since added a dozen self checkout registers. The lines are way shorter again. That is why they get 4 stars and not 3.

One-stop shopping: This place has everything from groceries to camping gear, with great prices. Expect long lines to check out. Also, in the parking lot: Many competitive people are always searching for good parking spots. Ive also encountered a lot of homeless folks looking for handouts.

Great customer service, clean, professional, well stocked, fast checkout, great selection too. Well stocked and up to date electronics section, yard and garden often has what I need for projects, home and decor has a fair variety of selection, food options are very good and always fresh.

Good prices, great food selection, suprisingly good meat, the clothes ive purchased seem to be fairly good quality for the price, as in the seams dont unravel after two weeks wear. I did however take away one star because the produce doesnt compare to the competition 5 minutes away.

Fresh produce for the most part. It gets so busy on Sundays they run out of carts. You have to stand around waiting with others for people to being carts inside. There are rarely baskets to use also. Long lines. Speedy express line and also self check out if youre in a hurry.

Convenient, friendly service, has a Starbucks & good prices but the best part about this Fred Meyer is that they have public restrooms! If you live in Seattle, thats a rare commodity. Thank you Fred Meyers for understanding most of us do our shopping after a long commute!

This Fred Meyer is one of my favorite stores in the chain. Its relatively new and has a nice deli and cheese shop. You could furnish an apartment just shopping here, from hardware to clothing, this has it all. New ads come out on Sunday, the sales are often very good.

This store has great staff and service, especially in the deli and electronics departments. This store is also highly convenient, offering lots of items ranging from food to households, all inside one building with long hours. The added parking lot is a plus too!

Staff tends to be pretty grouchy and judgmental. I know they have to deal with a bad crowd, but that doesnt mean throw customer service out the window and treat EVERYONE like a problem-case! Besides that, theres a decent selection for a decent price.

I didnt like the checkout person throwing my products into the shopping cart and asked her to be easy she looked at me as if I were asking her something wrong, bad attitude and not good customer service last time I spend my hard earned money here

I usually like Fred Meyer but this location is seedy and the meat and produce is sketchy. Sometimes great, sometimes lousy, be careful about meat and produce quality. Some employees are cool but some need to be fired.
