So, I read a lot of the reviews on Google before i went here and Im going to have to disagree with a lot of the negative ones. I came here to purchase a recumbent bike, i was looking for a long wheel base 2 wheel below bar steering. I had ridden a friends and loved it. Turns out that is a rare style and isnt easy to come by, but it was a long drive so i figured i would ride a few other styles. Dale was incredibly helpful, even though his shop looks like a bomb went off after a hurricane and and earthquake hit, he will bring out any bike to ride, he carried out quite a few bikes for me that day. He gave me honest opinions and asked what i wanted to do with the bike and gave me some suggestions. But nothing was high pressure and he wasnt being pushy about anything in particular. Finally i found a trike i loved, the catrike 700, i rode it around and it was exactly what i wanted! I had an old recumbent that i didnt like so i wanted to trade it in, i was working with a limited budget and we came to a very good deal. I said i would need to think about it and he told me no problem take my time. So a week later i returned and said i would like to do the deal, he did not try to change the deal or milk me for any more money, he even left on some very expensive parts (hundreds of dollars) that he didnt notice were on the bike at the time of our original agreement, but because we made the deal he honored it! If nothing else, Dale is a man of his word! And he is not rude, hes honest and blunt, if your personality cant handle that then grow a spine. I support and recommend this business to anyone.

I didnt mind the appearance of the store with all the parts and bikes around. It had the eccentric feel of someone who LOVES bikes, NOT sales. The problem I had with the store was the same as Yuri. I took my mountain bike in for service and fender installation so that I could use it for a city commuter bike.Up front I was told the price and felt it was a lot of money to spend on repair and tune-up, but not unfair. I agreed and was told that it would be ready the next day. The next day it was still sitting in the spot I left it. I was told it would be done the next day for sure. It was not. However, it had been moved to the back and I was told 75% complete and that it would be done the next day. It was not. I was then told ten minutes to complete it and that I should come back versus wait. I returned an hour later to a 95% job which I quickly paid and RAN. The front fender is not completely straight and will need to be owner adjusted. The mounting wires(?) holding the fenders are long and need trimmed as instructed by the store owner because he couldnt find his cutters -- no small wonder by the appearance of the counter, sales floor, and what I could see of the shop area. If I ever need anything bicycle again, I will absolutely drive across town or to a competitor in lieu of the time I wasted on all the return trips to the store.

I really enjoyed this bike shop. The owner has a passion for bikes and trikes and it is very apparent. The shop is stocked with all manner of recumbents, trikes and bikes, old, experimental and new. I tried about three recumbent trikes and chose the one with shocks on all wheels! It was great fun and the owner fixed them all up for my size so I could really know what I was getting. The shop is eye candy for anyone who loves HP transportation. Unlike some reviewers, I never stumbled, nor did I come near stumbling, over the bikes and parts in the aisles. I’m visually impaired, which though I have some sight, means I am legally blind. Come on all you griping wimps who say you nearly stumble. Get a life, start enjoying. Also my trike needed an adjustment, which the owner promised in two hours (we drove from out of town to the shop) and it was done in the specified time. I love my recumbent trike, purchased from Angle Lake Cyclery, and my neighbors all want one, too!

While this shop is a not a 5-star dig, with hovering sales people at ones beck and call, it is an old fashion bike store. Dont come here expecting to be waited on... I wandered in the store after my business meeting, almost got lost in the piles of stuffs. I finally found the owner quietly working in the back. "We dont rent bikes here," he said after I explained that I am in town for the week on business and would like to rent a bike to ride around the hills. He relented and loaded a demo bike in my rental car. I asked about the rate and paper work. He waved me off and said to come back when done (and based on how much fun I had). I returned 3 days later, the doors were wide open and he was nowhere to be found. I rolled the bike in and hollered for him. He emerged from the back and gave a casual wave. He charged a pitance (almost free) for the rental. Bottom line - give the shop and owner a chance, I was glad I did.

The guy who runs the shop is super helpful -- I arrived near closing time with a wierd problem on my old Vision recumbent. He helped out right away and figured out a fix -- using a part scavenged from the huge, disorderly pile of all sorts of bikes he has in his shop. When I first approached the shop -- I couldnt figure out where to get in -- the entrance looked blocked -- but I tried the door and it opened -- I had to walk on piles of old tires on the floor. The shop would be a good canidate for the TV show "hoarders" -- he had sever very cool recombent bikes being assembled -- in the parking spaces in from of the shop -- because there was no room in the shop!!! I dont know how he manages to stay in business with the clutter in the shop -- or how he keeps all the bikes parked outside the shop from being stolen -- maybe he lives in the shop? The guy must simply be someone that just loves working on bikes.

I just bought a beautiful Bacchetta Bellandare here and I am just thrilled with it-- and was very pleased with the service I received. Much has been said about the apparent disorder around the shop, but, cmon, theres just one guy and people drop in constantly and he manages to take care of them all. I did the standard loop-around-the-parking-lot test ride and really liked the bike, but knew I needed to see if I could handle it on hills. He was happy to direct me to a rather impressive one just around the corner which was just rugged enough to reveal that an adjustment to the RD was in order. He took care of it on the spot and tweaked until I was 110% happy with that drivetrain. All of the accessories were installed while I waited which is unusual at a bike shop this close to the STP. I drove away very happy with my beautiful new bike.
