t is very unfortunate that this place has broken my trust. I moved here about 18 months ago and do a lot of skiing/mountain biking. In addition, I love supporting local bike shops...but this will not be one of them:( Unfortunately, my son/grandfather had to go into the business to get my sons bike fixed for a race that was coming up. I feel they took advantage of the situation and a $35 fix has now turned into over $130 and I had to do the final install!! I read on google reviews that somebody felt the same thing happened to them and then Pacific Bike asked for him to give them a chance to make it right...I did give that chance, but still feel things were not made right. Story: I was on vacation and my son stripped his shifter lever on a SRAM XO. He went into the bike shop and was sold one X9 SRAM shift lever and it was installed for about $130. If anybody knows, the X9 is a big black shifter and looks nothing like an XO...so it looks terrible. During the installation, the mechanic stripped the front deralieur...so I was told I needed a new one. There response was that it was tightened to specs. So, when I returned, I figured out what was broken on the bike and ordered the part from Amazon for $35 (what shouldve been done from the beginning). When I called the store to complain that I felt my son was taken advantage of, he stated that he is not allowed to order those parts. Unfortunately, he also feels that telling the customer to go to Amazon to order a $35 part is not the right thing when facing a sale of $130:( To make things right, I was told to return the X9 shifter and the would not charge me anything for the deralieur. Well, I just went to the store and they told me it would take 3 days to install the part, so now I am left to install it because my son has a race. I guess it is just icing on the cake. In sort: -The real fix for my bike was a $35 lever that was ordered from Amazon that is installed by one bolt and less than 5min. -Instead, I was sold $130 X9 shifter and a deralieur that broken during a process that did NOT need to happen. -I am not left with installing a $50 X7 SRAM (I couldve got on Amazon). Pacific Bike, this is not the type of customer trust you guys should be breaking. You really need to make sure that you are providing a service that people dont need to be experts at to make sure they were not taken advantage of. I gave a 2 star because I at least was able to get the X7 SRAM component.

I use a bike to commute to a part time summer job. I am saving money for when I move out for grad school. I go here to get maintenance on the bike Im riding currently (a low end model from Target which Im riding out of necessity until the end of August). I had to take this bike in for maintenance when the back innertube was punctured by a staple on the road. Patching the innertube was a simple matter that I was able to do myself, but in the process the derailleur (which is a nonstandard model) came off and the brake wires came loose and I needed professional help. Due to the high volume of customers it took a little more than a week to get fixed. A tune-up costs $70, which appears to be more than the average price for a tuneup. I didnt have a choice. Today I took the same bike in to find replacement brake pads. When I came in, the pads werent available yet (they were being shipped in). When I came back, the employee at the front (Tyler) offered to install them for free because obviously its dangerous to ride around the Plateau with worn out brakes. I dont have a lot of my own money (I cant afford my own car) so I really appreciated this.

I am adding to my review because I cannot say enough. I HAVE NEVER HAD SO MUCH FUN spending money....New bike day was today for my husband and I. WOW!!!! Gentlemen...We cannot thank you enough...You helped us pick the perfect bikes...thanks for all of the help getting the bikes set up...Thanks for getting us on the trail so quickly...Thanks for taking such good care of us. YOU ROCK!!!!! I have been to different bike shops with varying experiences. This bike shop is professional, courteous but fun and interested in what I do. They have given me such great service I would not take my bike anywhere else. They never try to sell me things that I do not need. They know their gear and their business. They are fast, efficient and really good at what they do. The most important thing they have made my rides more fun, exciting and make me feel like a valued customer every time that I go in. They have on many occasions gone the extra mile to get me back on the trail in the shortest time possible. I highly recommend them...best bike service/store around!

I visited Pacific Bicycle to do some custom work to my bicycle and was very pleased with the quality and value of the work performed. I was attempting to add an internal hub shifter to my single speed bike. I initially had REI quote the project, but they struggled to understand how to quote it and were priced way higher in the end. When I visited Pacific Bicycle I was greeted by one of the mechanics who assured me that they could do it. I received an amazing price quote within minutes. The mechanics name was Alex. His passion, knowledge, and excitement for bicycles was evident throughout the entire transaction.

These guys are the bomb! They totally go the extra mile. I came in with a last minute request just ahead of a big bike trip and they went through a huge list of repairs, including a new cassette, bearings, cables, chain... were taking the whole nine yards, and they kicked out a commanding performance. All the details were totally nailed. Every time I come in, they are really helpful, never pushy, always laid back, and super friendly. Edit: Take note that reviews older than a couple years are no longer valid as the business has changed owners.

Were so fortunate to have Pacific Bike and Ski here in Sammamish - Ive purchased two bikes from their shop over the past year and the prices have been more than competitive and the guidance and help from the experts there has been even better. Ive worked with Tyler on a number of occasions and have found him to be super knowledgeable, very friendly, and hes done a great job maintaining my bikes. Now with addition of Mike in the store, things are really going to rock! Thanks, guys... You are the best.

This is a fantastic store and the people that work there are very helpful and knowledgeable. I purchased new skis and boots for my wife and I. They custom fit the boots for both of us. My boots did not fit perfectly given my large calves. They spent all the time necessary to permanently change the actual boot geometry so they did fit perfectly. They are now the best fitting boots I have ever had. Thanks much. Will visit again soon.
