Purchased a 2015 Specialized Tarmac Pro frameset last year and have been really pleased with the assistance received from Dave and his crew. Since then Ive been in to purchase small parts and for service. Ive ordered several parts and clothing (Specialized) through Center Cycle and they usually arrive for pick up before the end of the week. They also had the replacement Di2 wire I accidentally severed on a Saturday afternoon. The last instance was a HED Ardennes Plus rear wheel that had started creaking. Brought it in on a Sunday afternoon, Dave and mech took it apart, assessed the issue as water penetration which resulted in corroded pawls and contaminated bearings. The pawls were cleaned and packed with grease, the bad bearings punched out and replaced with new. All within an hour and while I waited (I was prepared to have to leave the wheel and come back during the week.) for less than $100. And the HED wheels werent even purchased at Center. This kind of experience and service goes straight to the heart of the value of a "local bicycle shop". The good ones work hard for your business and exceed expectations without any fanfare.

Even though the location is a little out of the way for me, this is my go-to local bike shop. I was in the market for a new bike that could handle all the roads and trails of Seattle in all weather, and I received a great amount of help in navigating through their large inventory to find something that suited my needs in my price range. I ended up with a 2015 Specialized Diverge Expert which was one of the bikes recommended to me by the staff member who assisted me. A few weeks after purchasing the bike, I noticed there was some spoke noise from the rear wheel. I brought the bike back in, and they gladly took a look at it and tightened up the spokes quickly and free of charge. This seems to be a place that has knowledgeable mechanics who will stand by their work. PS they carry mainly Giant and Specialized, and a pretty wide spectrum of both companies product lines. You can find a basic $600 bike or a decked out full carbon $8000 race bike under one roof.

Im all for supporting my LBS and so I got a good deal on a 2016 Crave and bought XT spd pedals and some other gear. Staff was really friendly. Dave the owner was accomodating and John was very helpful and attentive and will give you a test ride around the lot. Theyre very busy tho with so many customers flocking in so it may seem as if they dont know you at times after youve purchased a bike. Business must be good I guess. Would have given 5 stars but when I went to have my wheels trued (they have a 90 day complimentary tune up) after my initial ride at Dashpoint, Dave took it to the back and used his thumb to inspect the trueness. For a mega shop that sells Park Tools youd think theyd boast of a shop grade truing stand and use it. Ive been truing my own wheels for a decade and ill be truing them once i get my stand online since i left my old one in Texas. Overall, id say service is good and they give you fair prices on stuff.

I read some reviews that made me question visiting here but they had a good closeout sale price on a bike that I really wanted to try out so I dropped by. They were pretty busy but I was approached right away and given undivided attention. I asked them about the sale, they showed me the bike, and let me test ride it with no pressure whatsoever. The bike I was interested in wasnt what I hoped it to be so they showed the bike that met the specs I was looking for. It was way out of my price range but there was no pressure to buy so I didnt mind looking at it. It turned out it was on closeout as well for about 25% off which made it an absolute steal. I was there for about 4 hours, asked about 50 questions, talked shop, and ended up leaving with the bike. The salesman even encouraged me to think about it overnight if I had doubts. Overall, it was a great experience and I would return.

Purchased my new Specialized mountain bike here and couldnt be happier with how I was treated. They gave me a great deal and helped out in anyway needed, really friendly staff and a wide selection of bikes. I live a hour away so for me it was not convenient and no one else closer had the bike I wanted ready built for me to test out but well worth for me to go back down to get some goodies for my new mountain bike. They pricematched my new helmet and I bought a few other goodies while I decided to go tubeless could not be more pleased. Im not one to write reviews but I just had such a good experience with the guys at Center Cycle in Renton. Thanks again!

I purchased a bike from here three or four years ago and recently had it stollen. When I called them to get a serial number or record of the purchase, I received rude customer service from the owner. I spent a great deal of money on the bike and was told that it was my problem and that they had no record of the purchase even though it is "their business practice" to provide customers with serial numbers and proof of purchase. To be yelled at over the phone by the owner is inexcusable, to say the least. Customer service is all around piss poor, from purchase onward. To waste your time or money here. Go somewhere else

Unreliable Warranty 2 months ago I have bought a bike at this location. The Renton location has 6 months parts and labor warranty so I traveled a long distance just for the bike and thats why I went from Fife to Renton just for the warranty. When I took in the broken leg to the store they said that the leg is not part of the warranty. So I have wasted my time and money just to pay for their services. I could have just done it at home myself or ordered it online. This is an unreliable and hard to understand warrenty. They should not even call this a warranty. They just do what they want.

Tried to buy a mountain bike there today. My husband has been a customer before and we thought wed spend some money. There was one sales guy on the floor already helping another couple, and one guy at the register. After being ignored for 20 min we decided to leave. Would have been nice to at least get a nod, or a "hey you guys are next in line" but nothing. Sucks because we were ready and saw a few bikes we really liked. Your loss. Not coming back.

New to bicycling and had been shopping other stores without much success. The only other store that was willing to educate didnt have the bicycles we were shopping for. A friend referred me to Center Cycle. Dealt with a salesman names Cole. Good personality and took good care of us. Informative , had the models in stock and the best price around that we found. Very pleased and will be back.

Ive been frequenting Center Cycle for several years now. Ive bought numerous bikes and innumerable components, clothing and odds & ends from them and have them perform any of the bike servicing I dont do myself. The staff is always helpful and friendly, and if you need something they dont have on hand they can get it for you. I highly recommend Center Cycle. Support your LBS!
