I brought my laptop ac adapter plug in, into this place, cause just the little plug that goes into the computer was bent and didnt work anymore. They said they didnt have any and I would have to wait a month or pay extra to special order it. So a month later I brought the charger back in and got a new one. The guy was shocked when I told him I was keeping my old one, since I was told the plugs are cheap and easy to fix, but I tend to have bad luck with things like that so didnt want to do it myself. Then he tried talking me into leaving it, "Its broken what do you need it for", and rude type, but I knew they would fix it and turn around and make another $20 off me. Well the new one they sold me was the wrong one, too small and struggled to try to charge. So I took it back, and was told it would be another month wait. I ended up getting one from my friend and it worked for a month or so, but was 5+yrs old and wasnt taken the best care of, so eventually quit working about a month later. So I went back in and they had the right one. They guy told me it has a one year warranty on it, and he would replace it with a new one for just about any reason other than it looked like something chewed on it, and I left happy...Like I mentioned my luck earlier, 3 months later, and the plug got bent today. I looked it up and saw they were open till 7, so I rushed there knowing they would be closed tomorrow. I got there at 6:15 and they were closed. Even their sign said 7. So 4 out of 5 of the times Ive been there Ive left disappointed. They were highly recommended to me by two friends (an IT Professional, and the other was really into working on computers). They both used to buy stuff there years ago when they lived around here, and were shocked they werent more helpful, let alone didnt just fix the plug for me the first time. Im not going there again. They can shove their year warranty, Ill just take the original and the new one, to a friend in Oly who will just fix the plugs for me, and for cheaper than a used one from the store (which they never had one of those either).

The environment is organized and professional but not in a corporate box store feel. I was greeted by a friendly technician who knew the fix and gave me a quote of 60 dollars which I felt was more than fair. Asked how long it would take and was quoted 2 days. I was called the next morning and it was ready to go. Total price including tax 65 dollars. When I went to pick up my lap top that afternoon, the same technician was helping an older customer with patience and respect. She gave me eye contact and told me she would be a moment. Then, politely she told her customer that she was going to help me because she knew that I was there to only pick up. Her awareness and kindness impressed me so much that I had to share. Not sure what was more impressing, her knowledge or her people skills. There should be more like her and companies like this one. It made my dreaded, rare travel to South Hill worthwhile. They will get my business again.

I have used Computer Connection on two occasions for my Desktop computer needs (2 different computers) and I have to say they are the BEST!! Much cheaper than taking my device to Geek Squad at Best Buy!!! I believe that for the work that I’ve gotten done, that Ive saved maybe in the area of $700.00 respectively. On the most recent service call, I was receiving constant Blue Screen of Death for almost 6 months (I was too lazy to part with the computer so I dealt with it), until one morning, I just had a black screen with the cursor! No matter how many times I rebooted, same output! I took it to CC and within 48 hours, I had my computer back as GOOD AS NEW!!! Turned out it was an OS issue rather than hardware issue THANK GOD!!! I highly recommend this Store for your computer needs!! They also give a military discount so its a Win-Win!!!! :-)

I thought I needed an ac adapter for my laptop so I came down to this store for the first time. They are under new ownership and there are some renovations going on but the staff was extremely friendly. They tested my ac adapter for no charge and confirmed it was bad, they informed me that they did not have the one I needed in stock but could order me one. I was hesitant to order one and the employee told me he understood and if I was interested he could get me a generic replacment for 34.99 and the Dell one for 54.99. He gave me some spots to check out to see if they had any there. Long story short is there prices on the ac adapters are the cheepest anywhere, I ordered through Computer Connection they said 3-5 days until delivery and I received on day 6. This store is honest and fair I highly recommend.

Under NEW management!! The shop was bought about a year ago by some guys that said they were gonna change the shop for the better but like the previous owner, wouldnt spend the money to bring in product. Finally the previous head manager Ted made an offer and bought the shop!! He is who should have been running it years ago!! Hes a great guy that actually cares about the customer and daily goes above and beyond to fix your problem right then and there or will help you out if youre in a jam and need your computer the same day. A great shop with great people. Very knowledgeable and affordable computer repair and virus removal. They also provide on-site service so you can pay to have them come out to your house or business.

I enjoy going to this store, the new owner is a disabled vet who wants to be part of community. 10% military discount on everything, no questions asked. Very nice guys and really open and honest, they even post and respond to every negative review on the internet in their store and on their Facebook. My family and I have been part of this store for many years and I will continue to do all my business with Computer Connection, but hey guys it is time to get more product to sell. I love your services and respect the fact that you just dont have the product right now because of the redesign but you are just giving the money to a competitor with lessor customer service. The community wants to support you get more product.

I wouldnt give it 1 star originally - well 2 or maybe 3 now its fixed. Heres my original review on 3/27. Needed my laptop optical drive replaced. It took 5 two-hr. round trips to get it back. At home, inserted brand new disk from Mac. Could not get it out. Returned & tech couldnt remove the disk. Its almost 2 weeks later and I still dont have a date for getting my laptop back. Follow-up on 5/10. I just finally got my laptop back last week. They were actually nice about it, even though theys seen this review. The original tech had ordered an optical drive that was CD only. He was fired - theyd had others problems with him. They didnt charge for ordering the new drive and with a couple more trips, got it to work.
