So here is an update on my Home Depot Customer Service Nightmare. Oh, thats right, you dont communicate, so let me give you the whole story. I ordered flooring on April 13, 2017 online. I received an email stating that it would be delivered between April 24th-April 26th. I took a vacation day on the 26th so I could install it. It did not show up. On April 27th (TODAY) I stopped by the store in Shoreline during my lunch. I was told that they only had the information I had on the tracking site, which now said NO DELIVERY DATE instead of April 24-26. They asked if I could wait while they called and checked on my order. 20 minutes later they told me that they had called UPS in Redmond WA and that my flooring would be delivered today. When I got home TONIGHT there were TWO boxes of flooring. I ORDERED 12. I called the stupid customer service line. The stupid customer service person blamed all manner or things, the web site, UPS, the supplier, etc. , then put me on hold for 10 minutes, only to get back on and complain that she was on hold with UPS. I hung up. I called back later thinking that MAYBE they had figured it out. I thought WRONG. I went through the whole thing again with another stupid customer service person, was told that they could arrange a discount and get this straightened out, was put on hold for 15 minutes, then told that UPS had delivered 2 boxes (DUH I KNOW THAT) and that UPS had 4 more boxes that they could deliver later this week. REALLY? I ORDERED 12 BOXES DO THEY THINK MY FLOOR SHRUNK OR SOMETHING? The stupid customer service person then asked if I wanted to send what I had back or wait for the 4 boxes. I reminded them that I had ORDERED 12 BOXES. I asked what on earth were they thinking. He had no answer except to apologize and say that 4 boxes were what UPS had. I hung up. I have now wasted a vacation day, an hour on hold, $780 and have 2 boxes of flooring. Now I know how Home Depot stays in business. They take your money, waste your time and deliver 1/6th of your order with no communication what so ever. Oh yeah, I requested a text when they were delivering and have not received ANY COMMUNICATION AT ALL FROM HOME DEPOT. "Less doing, less saving, more lying, less communication, more time-wasting and a big rip off at the home depot."

Really wish Google had not combined "poor" and "Fair" in their rating system. This Home Depot is "Poor to the extreme". Like every other Home Depot, Customer Service at this location sucks! We ordered a Storm Door in December 2012, it was supposed to be delivered in 2 weeks when they discovered that they forgot to take measurements. Four more weeks and the door arrives broken and bruised and in a pathetic condition. So, we send it back. They moan and gripe that they cant take it back... they agree after 30 minutes of haggling that it was their fault. They said theyd expedite it this time around and let us know ASAP. We have not heard from them for the last 3 weeks... ASAP (here) means "As Slowly as Possible". Every time we go, we have to repeat the whole story, produce all our bills etc., as each time, the computer system is "slow" or "down". Am disappointed with the customer service and would not refer this store to anyone!! UPDATE: I had been contacted by customer service - both from corporate and from the store - which made me optimistic, the agents left a voice mail, when I called back - there was no response. After some phone calls, I was assured that the door would be installed on Jan 26 (Saturday). The installer shows up and says "I have the door but my shift ends in 30 minutes so I cant install. I also dont know when Ill get to come by next". I really dont understand why an installer was sent when he couldnt install. I mean seriously Home Depot?? Get your act together people....WTF??

I ordered a flooring install from this home depot. Heres a summary of whats taken place so far. When I initially came in to pay, the cashier cashed a cashiers check from me for $1000 over the checks written value with my consent. This required me to stand at the cashier stand for 2 hours while they tried to resolve it with their home office. They have an electronic system that automatically processes checks and doesnt allow them to void them electronically in the case of a mistake like that. After getting that fixed it took them over a month to even send someone to my home to install the floor; they dont stock any flooring material in their warehouse so it had to be shipped across country. The contractor discovered the floor was uneven, which I rectified with the builder but still received complaints from the contractor afterwards that it was slightly uneven. The installer Home Depot contracted subcontracts to other installers so there was no reasonable way I could schedule the builder to be with the contractor at the same time to get the floor done the way the installer wanted it; I had to check it myself. Anyway, after voiding my warranty on the flooring in that room, they finally unboxed the material to discover that 2/3rds of the planks I was sent were deformed beyond use. At this point, I returned it but Im still waiting on them to give me my money back. Cant say Im pleased with the service Ive gotten so far...

My shopping experience here is like any other big box store - prices are decent, they have a great inventory for one-stop home project shopping, and the employees are basically useless. My wife and I made the huge mistake of buying laminate flooring and having HD install it. The planning, scheduling and actual installation went OK, until 1 month later the floorboards started separating. We filed a claim, HDhad the installer come inspect it, called it a product defect, HD filed a claim with manufacturer (Pergo), Pergo had an independent adjuster come inspect it, they ended up denying the claim, HD ended up blaming the problem on the installer (3rd party company - Romanoff Installation, which was actually great to work with - I will be giving them a glowing review), installer denied the claim so in the end HD had to eat the cost of a complete floor replacement. In the end, yes, we did get replacement floors installed. BUT, this process took 5 MONTHS and over 100 phone calls to HD (no exaggeration - I have the phone logs) and the so-called local service department, which is impossible to reach and never returns calls. During the entire process we were completely in the dark about what was going on or the timeline or anything. Long story short - THINK TWICE about hiring HD for any kind of home project. Go with local companies with actual professionals who care about their customers.

It went from 2 stars to 1 after the latest debacle at this store. I ordered a tub and surround online and had it shipped to the store. Not only did it arrive 6 days after their last estimate date, when I went to pick them up they were both badly damaged. They offered to reorder with a small discount and I agreed. Then they charged me $200 more for the reorder! The assistant manager was completely useless other than to say thats not right and sorry. 3 hours later.... I will be cancelling all other orders I have with home depot. Lowes it is... To get anyone to help you or even answer the phone is pretty rare. I dont blame the employees so much as they are probably understaffed. Lot of wasted time though... Then I bought a washer and dryer with the install. They make you buy a bunch of overpriced accessories you dont need to do the install and you cant return those accessories. Best Buy or Lowes dont have this scammy practice. If you just need something quick and easy this place is fine but other than that go elsewhere. It took 3 hrs to buy a piece of carpet as their credit card machine was broken. 3 hours is not normal.
