The beer section seems to be getting less and less attention with many items being out of stock and a dimensioned selection the past few times Ive gone. Additionally, after spending a bit of time finding the beer and wine I wanted, I went to the checkout wth my wife. I was paying and had the alcohol and was asked to show my ID, which I did. They then looked at my wife who was right behind me (shes older than I am) and asked for her ID which she didnt have. They refused to sell it to us because "she doesnt look over 30", which she is by more than a few years. While it may be a compliment that she doesnt look over 30, anybody with an inkling of common sense can easily tell shes over 21. That combined with the fact that Ive seen them sell alcohol to parents who have their kids with them made for a frustrating experience a bit of irrational over cautiousness of their part. Naturally, this resulted in us needing to go somewhere else where we were able to make the purchase without a problem. I know she should have her ID, but weve been to this particular total wine before and werent even asked for our IDs, so I didnt even think her not having it when she wasnt even paying for or handling the alcohol would matter. Had I thought itd be a problem she would have just gotten some groceries next door while I was in total wine.

My wife went to the store to get some Guiness Blonde. She could find Guiness, but not Blonde. She couldnt find anyone to help her, although she did see a group of people talking and laughing. She finally got help from a vendor who was stocking his own non-Guiness product. He went and found out where the Blonde was stocked and HE came back to help my wife, not the employee who told him where that particular beer was located. I stopped by later in the day to talk to someone wearing a white shirt with a Total Wine name tag. He showed all the warmth of a stone in December, and about the same amount of concern. His solution - walk all the way from the farthest corner of a very large store to the front where the white shirts hang around, then walk back to the beer section. I didnt realize Total Wine had become the WalMart of alcohol. No, wait, WalMart shows more concern about their customers. If you want me to spend my money in your store, I dont need to work for it - I already worked for it once. Get a clue! Even Target has phones to use if you need help in their store.

I shall call this place boozhalla where the brave go to drink and make merry. There is any kind of alcohol type you could ever imagine, and then some. If you need white wines, they have isles of them. If you need whiskeys, they have whole sections of different types. If you need some random wine type you have never heard of, they have a whole display of them, not just one brand. What really sealed it for me though was the life size statue of Jack Daniels, where else could you go to see that?

Wonderful selection of alcohol. I am a craft beer enthusiast and can always find something new here. I especially like hitting the seasonal items. They have a great selection of wines and usually runs some sort of sale on that, but I cant testify about anything beyond that. The prices are reasonable and are comparable to Bevmo! However, I feel everything is better organized here and I dont feel like I just walked into a Wal-Mart.

Amazing selection, including hard to find items. Beers, bourbons, wines, international spirits... trendy beverages and classics ... the selection is not just wide, it is deep too. The staff us knowledgeable and friendly; available, but not overbearing. I have not yet found their rarities section, and I imagine they have one... Who knows, maybe they will call me if they come across a bottle of Pappy!

I love Total Wine. Best selection and prices of any local liquor stores. However, I definitely dont trust the recommendations of the people working there. They are about 90% off base with their recommendations, and I find its best to search online for reviews rather than trusting the employees. Still worth the trip though, best selection and prices.

Massive selection in liquor, alcohol, and wine. Ive had the clerks push the Total Wine choice brands of whiskeys and theyve all been garbage. Not sure why that happens because the clerks dont make commission. I still really like this place, but will avoid employee recommendations in the future.

The best selection of wines, beers, and liquors on the Eastside. Their monthly wine-tasting classes are a great way to learn about wine and discover what you like, so you can buy wines you really enjoy instead of just relying on ratings of critics.

The staff here were incredible. Three people helped me find all the wine on my list, quickly, and I learned a bit about wine, too! Ernie is the only name I think I remember. He was so nice and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this store.

If you have a favorite brand of alcohol, chances are they have it. If you want to find a great (even inexpensive) new brand of alcohol, just ask them. This is a great place to ask questions and find something new/fun.

This place is the Mecca of wine, beer and spirits. The staff seem to care greatly about the store and are very friendly and helpful. Its safe to say if youre looking for a rare drink you will probably find it here!

Man, this store is huge. Their wine selection is huge. The brandy and liquor selection is pretty decent but still lacking. Where the hell is the foreign stuff? I wish theyd expand it and add some variety.

The selection here is impressive. Staff is likely knowledgeable about the products (I did not ask anyone for help, yet everyone seemed professional). They give out samples from time to time too.
