Very unhappy after my shopping experience at The Winchester Sutler. I thought the order took way too long to deliver. I was supremely disappointed in the quality of workmanship exhibited by Tom on the trigger job on my Euroarms 1853 Enfield lock. It did not appear to me that the work performed was in keeping with the description on the website. I felt Tom was both defensive and rude when I explained my understanding of the issues the lock had after he "fixed" it. I thought the craftsmanship was so poor that I sent it out (at my extra expense) to have it corrected by a different gunsmith. I will never make another purchase from The Winchester Sutler.

It took a month to finally receive my order because of very shoddy packaging and carelessly incorrectly addressing the order (misspelled city name, wrong state, right zip)! They never provided tracking information (which was available) or answered numerous email inquiries, only answering the phone once with a very rude condescending tone saying that my order had shipped and hanging up (like I had no right to inquire about my order). I would never again do business with someone like this! Their F rating with the BBB and other reviews online speak volumes, steer clear of Thomas Hunger and ""The Winchester Sutler"!

I purchased a hat from Thomas Hunger, owner of Winchester Suttler. The hat didnt fit and he wouldnt give a refund when I returned the hat. I sent a complaint to the Virginia Better Business Bureau and the Virginia Attorney Generals Office. They were not able to get me a refund either. Caveot Emptor - Let the buyer beware. Buy your Civil War stuff elsewhere.
