Lost a few nice stores for various reasons (Gap, baby gap, New York and company, wet seal, the limited- I think a few others). What is there is boring. Im a guy that enjoys shopping, but I dont like to visit valley view. Granted I live here so its easy for me to get burnt out on it but this isnt the mall to visit if you enjoy shopping IMO- a ride out of town will give you better, much better, options. In full disclosure I also worked at the mall part time for a few years. Parking is terrible. Actually driving into the mall area is awful. Roanoke city tried to improve it with the new intersection by the movie theater but I dont think its helped much. Absolutely avoid this place around holidays!! Plus theyre cramming so many new restaurants and odd shops around the mall, its one big cluster#uck!! Mall security is a joke. Ive watched them follow people who were just randomly shopping. Ive known people who were detained for suspected shoplifting only to have charges dismissed. Ive witnessed people open carry and be asked to leave while others have open carried with no issues. The mall is generally clean though. The cleaning staff do a great job of taking care of facilities. Now individual stores have issues, particularly with the bathrooms but the main mall is usually clean.

I love Valley View Mall better than Tanglewood Mall because not enough stores in Tanglewood Mall. Not many restaurant in Tanglewood Mall just 3 for Five Guys, Applebee, and K&W(Old people use be there at K&W). Im disappointed with Tanglewood Mall. I like old 80s or 90s at Tanglewood Mall just little few shop. I liked Comic Shop in Tanglewood Mall(not anymore) it was out of business for Comic Shop in Tanglewood mall. I maybe quit Tanglewood Mall Anymore. I will go to Valley View Mall forever everyday. JCPenny is out of business in Tanglewood Mall. Tanglewood Mall Sucks anyway... Vallew View Mall Rules!

Its an acceptable mall with a lot of room for improvement Ive read quite a few people acting as if its just the most terrible thing ever! I roll my eyes at these ignorant snobs. Its not the best mall and has very poorly engineered traffic flow. But its acceptable. I would love to see major improvements but until then, its definitely better than driving all the way down to Christiansburgs mall... Man, what kind of stuck up ignoramus do you have to be to actually hop on the interstate and travel 30 miles just because the local mall is "so terrible" *rolls eyes*

The mall is not what I am used to. Where i live we have two malls, that have great stores like H and M, Forever 21, FYE, and other more cooler stores. I know it just got H&M, but they have a long way to go to make the mall better. They have no Apple store, no Forever 21! I just go because I go to school near here. Also, they need a Pink store. Cant have Victoria Secret with no pink store. I dont know how people of Roanoke thank this is the best mall ever. The mall is basic. and is not open long, which crazy. Why on Sunday 12-6? That is crazy.

This mall has almost everything. It is really its own little town because the surrounding area keeps growing. There are dozens of restaurants of all varieties. The area is always bustling with people and traffic. Recently, traffic updates made ingress and egress to the interstate much easier. Inside, you will find all of the regular mall stores and shops. Outside, there is a Toys-R-Us, Target, Wal-Mart, and Best Buy among many other stores. There is certainly something here for everyone, whether it is food, books, movies, or clothes.

Massive mall with a ton of the normal "mall" type shops. There is nothing in this mall that would make me go into it, so I havent been in it in a long time, its just more for teenagers and old people as far as the stores. I do, however, like the Barnes and Noble end that has a separated few buildings with an outdoor store, a nature store, and a Panera, right by the Barnes and Noble. Parking right here can be tricky, but at least there are a few things for the people that dont really find interest in Abercrombie and Aeropostale type stores.

I go here for the puppies and cheap cell phone cases. Seriously I take the kids to look at puppies grab a cheap case from a kiosk and run like hell from the Abercrombie loving wallet emptying life suckers that typically inhabit malls. Valley View is old and leaves much to be desired parking lot is not well maintained and can be a massive pain in the pa donkadonk to navigate without a road rage incident or mass hysteria of drivers trying to or not to kill one another.

Valley View Mall is easily the best mall in southwest Virginia. It features a fairly wide variety of stores including clothing, jewelry, books, health foods, and restaurants as well as anchor department stores. Many of the clothing stores, however, are now no longer considered what would be trendy with modern fashion. Parking in the busier times of the year can be difficult, especially with the mall continually selling parking space off for more and more restaurants.

I enjoy trips to Valley View. It has many of the common big names you would expect to find. Two stories of shopping with escalators and elevators are available. The mall is kept tidy and is patrolled by security. Because it is arguably the better mall within at least 50 miles, it can also be very busy, especially during shopping events/seasons. To find what I would call a five star mall, you would need to travel to Virginia Beach or Greensboro.

Valley View is not a bad mall and has some good places to shop. The mall definitely needs to work to bring more stores in and possibly expand slightly. The flagship stores here are nice, but it is time for an update to make them nicer to visit. A parking garage outside would be a tremendous benefit to the stores in the mall as well as the restaurants around as the parking is always congested with very few if any available spots.

Plenty of shopping options. We love to eat in this town, so around the mall; best steak Longhorn , best Ribs Applebees best wings well you got BWWs Logans and Smokey Bones. I prefer Smokey Bones. Best deal Cheddars. If you want better food you gotta leave the mall. Downtown ; sushi -Wasabis. Ribs -Blues Bar-b-Que. Crabcakes -Blue 5. Shrimp and Grits- Billys Ritz. Steak -Frankie Rowlands.

Great place to shop, variety and not a lot of hussle and chaos like Im use to. Im from GA. It can be very chaotic, frustrating, and overwhelming shopping in our local malls. The variety can be slim to none. The only thing I dont care for about VA is in general is the fact that I even have to travel to this degree to get what I need but Im glad I can do a one stop shop and get it all

beautiful theater, prices are wayyyy to high, so I drive on the other side of town and purchase tickets for $5.75 from tangelwood mall, between the hours of 4pm and 5:30pm. And on Tuesday I can get cheap snacks for $2.00 each. They have the best prices around. Valleyview theater, get on board. Love the Mall tho, go there all the time, best buy, target, staples, ect. good prices.
