Lot of selection but some of it not always good. Big, airy store. Good customer service. OK audio book and CD selection. As a used book store aficionado, I always make it a point to hit up a used book store when visiting a city. While in Richmond, I visited McKays. They have a 1000s of books, 100s of DVDs, CDs, and audio books on bare basics wood shelves, so expect some deals. The selection is incredible, but some subject areas, especially U.S. History, are wanting. Some of the prices did not make sense. On very popular authors and books, you save at least 2/3 off list price. However, it was odd that books for which the store had multiple copies, the prices seemed high. Final word: Youll definitely walk out happy and with something in your cart! Check it out!!!

Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The selection is really great and the prices are fantastic. The organization could use a bit of work because you can find the same book in three different sections, but the more you dig the better your chances of finding the same book at a cheaper price. This is my absolute go to store for cheap, excellent quality books.

Worse place to transact there,no courtesy,ignorant and rude...throw yr money into the sea it better of than going there... sold me broken item and never bothered to exchange or even test it to be sure of the situation.A word to the wise is enough.

Awesome place for book lovers!!! You can get bestsellers for a fraction of the price that you would usually get! Each time I visit McKays I walk out with at least 6 books for less than $20!!!! Love this place and its a frequent visiting spot!

Great selection that grows daily and with great prices to match. Also has a community room on offer thats great for small gatherings, game groups, or classes with only a cheap, refundable cleaning fee needed.
