I seldom visit Gamestop due to their otherwise shady practices of ripping gamers off; I know they need to turn a profit, but the percentage they earn on trade ins is insane. This week, theyve been running a Doom promotion, offering the game new for $20, which I found myself honestly surprised. I purchased a copy and left the store. They gave me a used copy of the game. The case was damaged and the disc had finger prints all over it (they didnt bother wiping the disc down). When I returned to the store, their rationale was that the game was $1 cheaper, as to justify giving out a used copy over a new. I was never offered a choice between the two, they simply gave me a used copy, despite that the promotion ONLY applied to new copies of the game (used is still up for $48 or so). Ive got my new copy now, but this demonstrates exactly why I dont shop at these locations. This, combined with the somewhat off putting attitude from the employees at a minor request/complaint only reinforced my recommendation to never shop at these stores (which has always been the case). If you do decide to shop at Gamestop, go to the Franklin Farm Village Shopping Center location. The staff there thought it was hilarious that this location had the audacity to slip a used game my way. Theyre a much nicer bunch and not much further away from this location.

Its not often that I visit a gamestop, but tonight I went to trade in my slim 360. I didnt expect much for a console thats 6+ years old, but learning my system was $25 was a shock. To add insult to injury, the managers, Juan, said my broken controller would cost me $10, bringing my value down to $15. That was fine, but Juan said if Im unhappy with that price Im more than welcome to go to another store. To add insult to injury, as Im making my decision, he begins to rush me, saying I need to decide so we both can go about our business because he had things to do. I agree, I do have things to do, but I dont need to be rushed. When I told him about my distaste for his attitude, he said "this isnt my attitude, its my monotone voice". Why work in retail with a condescending, know-it-all, entitled attitude? Its supposed to be about the customer and a pleasant experience. In the end I took the store credit, but once its gone, I refuse to return to any gamestop, especially this one.

Horrible Experience. Staff is extremely rude and they do not even act like they want to sell you video games. My experience was with Christopher. He is nothing but a sales clerk but for some reason thinks he is manager, or at least acted like one. I asked to pre-order a game from a young lady and after my transaction was completed, the store clerk Christopher (we can call him the smart-ass) tries to debate me on whether I am pre-ordering or "pre-purchasing" Regardless, I didnt care of the correct terminology and I only found his tone to be arrogant and extremely rude. I was a paying customer who had just spent $65 on a video game and this is how I am going to be treated? Completely unacceptable, I have already filed a complaint with Gamestop Corporate, the District Manager, and will never be returning to another GameStop store for as long as I live.

The staff really makes this store they are knowledgeable and parent friendly. I drive past two other game stops to shop here. Selection of new and used is pretty good.
