Best Cup of coffee in Richmond. Best in the Commonwealth (sorry Mishas, sorry Easy Chair! Yall still rule NoVA & Blacksburg, respectively) - this place is in a league of its own. My only complaint is that they close at 3 in the afternoon. Im scrounging for anything to count against the place. It is a really nice addition to the neighborhood. Really, really nice. Just come in the knowledge that coffee is the raison ďêtre for this branch of Lamplighter. Theres a cold case with some good sandwiches and a selection of baked goods to accompany your cuppa. The Lamplighter on Addison is better if youre after a proper meal, or if you are looking for a post-3 PM cup. For those who live in the neighborhood, this is the sort of locus for people to cross paths & kick it that the neighborhood has needed - a place to congregate without having to cross Broad or Boulevard.

Proper 3rd wave coffee establishment. The naturally processed ethiopian was tasty with some good complexity to it. Often times you get a natural ethiopian coffee that tastes like dirt and blueberries but this cup was clean and complex. The shop itself had been nicely remodled. It would, however, be neat if the wall seperating the roasting operation was replaced with a window so you could get a better look.

Located in the previously industrial northwest section of Richmond, you might miss it if you werent looking for it. The coffee is great: Bitter with a nice, semi-sweet, green finish. There is not much selection in the way of pastries, but they have your essentials (donuts, various croissants, etc.). The interior is exposed and painted brick with seating for 24; A nicely renovated industrial space.

I order lunches during the week from them through Quickness RVA and love their food! Have tried a few items and have never been disappointed. I usually get the vegetarian options, all of which are AMAZING! My fave sandwich is the TLTNA. The only thing I tried and didnt love was the side - goat cheese & cheddar grits.

Great atmosphere and excellent coffee. The barista was happy to talk coffee and just chat generally. The turntable was a nice touch. My only qualm was that the venue could get a little crowded, but in this case there was a wedding party going on.

Great atmosphere and coffee. I had just arrived at the Greyhound bus station 10 minutes walk away and fittingly got the Thyme Traveler Latte was delicious. Its a cool little neighborhood to explore if you have a long layover.

I got the chai and loved it! Not many chais are vegan, so I was delighted to know theirs was! The service was great and it wasnt too expensive- typical cafe prices! Only downside is that I want to go all of the time now!

Excellent coffee, excellent service, cool decor, in the prototypical 3rd Wave Coffee gentrified neighborhood. Wonderful espresso served properly with sparkling water and classic Motown music.

Love the waitstaff and the mocha lattes. I am there every tues- fri for my lunch break. Just wish they was open on mondays.better coffee than starbucks.

Smells wonderful when you step in the door (fresh ground coffee aroma). Staff are very skillful and friendly. Cappucino tastes wonderful.
