Ordered donuts on Wednesday, to be picked up on Saturday for a special event. We received a receipt for special donuts that they advertised for St. Patricks day. The advertisement said to order ahead of time to make sure you get the special donuts before they are gone. We showed up on time! NO SPECIAL DONUTS, (Guinness dough, Baileys Irish Cream filling, with Jameson whiskey chocolate icing). The guy behind the counter said, "Oh, sorry. . but it has been super busy around here!" We paid extra for these donuts three days ago, and ended up with regular Boston cream donuts??? NEVER AGAIN! SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE WAS TERRIBLE! Completely disappointed.

Delicious donuts abound at this donut “shack”. The vibe is fairly hipster, with weathered wood inside and the whole place sheltered inside of a former gas station. The donuts are awesome from the Girl Scout cookie inspired samoa to the more savory salted caramel. The dough is perfectly fluffy and flavorful and the frosting and toppings are awesome. They do happen to be on the sweet side, so more than one (or two or three) may be a bit much on the sugar scale. Grab a box for yourself and you won’t regret it.

Love it! This was something that the area really needed. Between this place, Pauls bakery and Blackstone coffee, my donut and coffee habits are well supported. I run by Sugar Shack almost every Saturday. Also, I noticed a comment about having to ask what flavor the donuts were and a suggestion that they should put signs out. They rotate through different flavors about every 15 mins constantly changing throughout the day so having to ask for help is by design and a part of their business model.

We drove by this store and my husband promptly asked my son if he wanted a doughnut and made me turn the car around to go back. My husband had the blueberry, my son had the chocolate frosting with sprinkles, I had the coffee (with almond milk!) and a bite of each of theirs - we were all very thrilled! The staff was amazing and friendly. The facility is clean and well decorated. I am happy he made me turn around because it was a great experience.

Cute little (converted gas station?) doughnut shop serving good coffee and fantastic doughnuts. My only knock was a total lack of indication of what doughnut is what - Im so I could have asked about each of the dozen or more offerings, but with the line forming behind me, I felt uncomfortable so I picked at random. However, even my random picks are delicious and everything else looked fantastic.

Went into the shop for the first time and treated very rudely. There were no signs in front of any if the donuts and the woman was very apprehensive to answering any questions, and when she did stuck to yes or no answers. Eventually we decided to leave since we had no idea what was available and we obviously didnt want to be helped by the staff. Will not be going back.

Treating my daughter to a doughnut and decided to try this place. Im glad I did, the staff was so wonderful and welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. It smells great and we watched as an employee loaded fresh doughnuts of a wide variety into the display case. I will definitely be back and will recommend this place to family and friends.

Such a cute shop. We live in Florida and have no bakeries like this near us. The different types of donuts were fun and delicious! My husband said the Samoa donut really tastes like a samoa! The cinnamon toast crunch donut was a favorite too. Not only are the flavors great, the actual donut itself is the best donut weve ever had!

The shop is always clean, the staff always friendly, and the donuts are always delicious. They are a little pricey and not consistent in what they have on the shelf. Not something I would have every day but the few times a year we do go there - they are worth the time spent. If they had 1/2 stars they would get 4 1/2!

It was good , had never been the only downfall we didnt know what flavor some of the donuts were so we had to ask about each kind and what it was, felt like we were holding up the line maybe put signs out of what they are so customers know what to order when its there turn otherwise donuts were delish!

It was pretty expensive and I was not a huge fan of the donuts. They were not bad but I have tried several other places that I preferred. We got a large selection and tried just about every kind they had available. The old fashioned was outstanding but the rest were pretty forgettable in my opinion.

Amazing! The donut flavors are unique. A little pricey if you go for the specialty type but so worth it. They also have fun gimmicks to get free donuts. For instance one day we did the chicken dance for a free donut. They also have some tasty coffees. Must try this place at least once.

The people are great and always super friendly. Sometimes the donuts are pretty standard, other times they get creative with fantastic results! Today they had a peach ginger donut described as "the best donut Ive ever had!" The coffee is great too! And Cronuts. My gods the Cronuts.

The donuts are delicious and they always have fun unique flavors. Once they were out of a flavor I wanted to try, so they made it for me fresh. My family loves the daily free donut offers, and it made my sons day to "beat" them at rock-paper-scissors and get a free donut.

I love their donuts! Only place that I cheat on Pauls Bakery with. Their apple fritters are to die for too.... But they dont make them everyday.... Seems like its only at the beginning of the week. Pretty good coffee too but different baristas mean not consistent taste.

Good, but expensive. Be forewarned these are "artisan" doughnuts. Nice to stop in for one or two with a cup of coffee, but if youre planning to buy a dozen for the family youll probably need to transfer money from your savings account. I think Ill stick with DD or KK.

$21.80 for a dozen donuts that tasted like stale bread. They have so many "interesting" varieties but dont make the classics. Overrated by a mile, do not jump on this bandwagon! We deserve better in Fredericksburg. If only Pauls would do business on Sundays...

Nice atmosphere, very friendly and very delicious! My wife really enjoys their coffew. We have stopped a couple times since we have started spending some time downtown during the week. My only request would be adding a true chocolate milk to the menu board!

Delicious, fun, and sweet. Stop in here for some of the best donuts on this side of the country. Find on social media the challenge of the day; I ordered my donuts in French and got a free one. Classic and contemporary flavors sure to suit anyones pallet.

They have really good donuts but I wish they offered seating inside. Sometimes Id like to just relax and eat a donut but they have nowhere inside to do so. They also can get really busy and I think they are a tad expensive to go to regularly.

Nice little spot, friendly staff and good selection. They made me a maple covered donut since there wasnt any in the case and even asked if I wanted any toppings. No inside setting though :( coffee was tasty and donuts were good too.
