This is probably my favorite cafe in Richmond. Tall Bike Blend is delicious and I drink it black. With cheap refills, its nice to sit for a couple hours and read or work. Theres ample outdoor seating, so its a great place to be on a warm day. The food is fantastic. They are also happy to make modifications if you have diet restrictions. It can get busy around lunch time, and it can be hard to find parking. However, Ive never been completely unable to find a spot within a block. Also, the indoor seating is very limited and not comfortable on a hot day as there is no air conditioning. However, there is a nice big covered porch with heaters when it is cold.

Great place to sit down and have a cup of coffee, chat or work on a project. Free wifi covering the area. Great selection of things to go with your coffee including agave syrup and soy milk for your coffee. Unlimited free waters to be dispensed along with free refills on the basic coffees. Cool full-wall artwork in the bathroom (it rotates every month!) and canopies outside for when it is warmer. Gets ultra packed on the weekends so you better come early to get a spot! Parking is sparse with about 5-6 spots but plenty of street parking if thats your thing.

This is a great coffee shop in Richmond! Doesnt have a ton of indoor seating but a great amount of outdoor seating which I prefer anyway. Excellent coffee drinks in large sizes and REALLY delicious food! Vegan and non-vegan! Got a full meal for $10 and was satisfied for hours! A great place to bring your computer and do some work! Gorgeous sunflowers to look at and Ive never had a problem with parking? Their staff seems nice however, they usually have a line so its not like they can talk to you all day or anything. Will definitely be back soon!

The coffee was great. Also had one of their sandwiches and it was pretty good as well. The service wasnt that great. I got blown off several times by several different staff members when I tried to order. Definitely felt like I was inconveniencing them. I heard great things about the coffee, so I didnt let the services dissuade me. Ill check it out again, just to see if the service was off just for my visit.

The Lamplighter is a new Hidden Gem in the Scotts Addition neighborhood of Richmond. Its painfully hip, but very good. The baked goods are fresh and not the usual mushy mass produced super sweet stuff you have to endure at the other coffee shops. My cappuccino came with that beautiful leaf pattern in the crema that you see in the pictures, but rarely find out in the wild

Location/atmosphere is nice. The guy making my drink was more interested in checking out the guy that had just pulled up than making my drink. It turned out to be one of the weakest hot chocolates Ive had. Im not sure if he put chocolate in it! If the guy were paying attention to what he was making Im sure it would have been a great drink.

Beautiful for meetings. I met with a friend for a quick cup of coffee and a catch up chat. the scenery is awesome with indoor, outdoor, and a closed in deck area. Decent prices, I could get a cup of tea for around 2$. there is a cool heart design that they put in most cups of coffee you order. make sure you ask which ones have it!

Coffee is great, service has always been fantastic for me. Always a busy place but you can usually find a table somewhere, and the extras you are given like fruit with your bagel give them an extra edge over other places around. They have a few parking spots, but be prepared for street parking, the are almost always full.

Great service, tasty food for a good price, and the cutiest transgender person took my order and made me smile. Wish I had gotten her name, so now I have to come back to find out! I love adventures! They brought my dog a bowl of water so right there you know these are good people. Come and partake you wont be disappointed.

Chill hipster place for brunch, you can seeand meet some really cool people there. Food is wonderful, love how they add their unique twist to their sandwich. Coffees are also excellent. Took a star off for the flies outside, could do better to control it. Or maybe just leave it as is to let the camp vibe stay. :)

Fantastic authentic latte cappuccino and macchiato drinks. Young, local family owns the business and they do a great job. You can feel good supporting local businesses and getting some of the finest food and authentic hand made beverages on the east coast. Also a great place to come work on your internet device.

One of my favorite places in Richmond. Good coffee. They just changed up the food menu, so Im still feeling out their new options. This place is very popular at lunch time so avoid the rush if you need to get in and out quickly. Theres is a lot of outdoor seating which is great when the weather is nice.

Expensive and just average quality. Staff is lacking in reasonable charm, mostly kinda abrupt and plain rude at times. I feel like I am a pain for them to wait on and I just ordered a coffee. Now, they cannot even serve 16 oz lattes. I am done with them. Their hippy greens are quite good!

The food and coffee are very delicious; maybe a little pricey but worth it. The atmosphere is chill and relaxing, great outdoor hangout place. However, the service is terrible. The employees on the phone, register, and delivering food were rude and not subtle about making fun of customers.

I want to like Lamplighter more, as its the closest coffeeshop (other than Starbucks, but when in Richmond, why go to big box coffee shops?) to me. The coffee is good, but (and maybe Im just not hipster enough?) the service is terrible, and Ill walk the extra half mile to go to elsewhere.

4.5 out of 5. Ordered chicken salad sandwich and a bowl of chicken chili soup. Also got a vanilla latte to go. Everything was awesome. Wasnt pleased that my chicken salad had grapes and apples in it. Overall enjoyed the food and staff was pleasant.

Trendy neighborhood coffee shop. Hipster sightings. They tend to run out of things on their menu if youre too late getting there. Weekday morning patrons (when I usually go) tend to be remote workers, local business people, and students.

I ordered the buffalo 66 and found two hairs in it. They should try wearing hair nets and gloves. A total waste of 8bucks. I threw that hair ball sandwich out. Service was friendly so I didnt return the food. I will not return.

If you are looking for a cool spot to grab a coffee or sandwich in the fan add Lamplighter to your list. I went one nice summer day and sat outside at one of the picnic tables, enjoyed the scenery and had a wonderful sandwich.

My favorite place to hang out, read, write, have a meeting, eat, drink tea, and pet a random dog in the city. Great mix of people! Delicious vegan, vegetarian, and meat options! Fresh pastries in the morning (they go quick!).

Asked for a 16 oz hot latte, was told they only do 12oz. Saw a customer get a 16 oz hot latte. Asked employees about it-was told they only make 16oz for their "regulars." Ok. I can become a regular somewhere else.
