Havent been in almost a year thought Id stop in. Soon as I get in stopped by an over zealous security guard stating in a military tone MAM!! you need to take your cup outside there is not food or drinks allowed in this store...now that he got half the stores attention.. afraid he was gonna pull a gun on me I immediately sat the cup on the counter and he was even more rude to say you cant leave that here either we have store policies...I reply I did not see a sign in which he replied it is on the door in the corner most people miss it. So I take my cup outside contemplating on not coming back in, then I thought he may have post traumatic issues so I put my cup in the car and return to an unexpected apology from the guard stating most people miss the sign cause it is small. (probably realizing his rude attitude he reiterated). I try to brush off the rude encounter and continue to shop. At check out the cashier was like "MaM!" in rude tone I need you to take your hangers off is this your first time in this store? I reply no but I do not remember that rule here as some stores refuse to sell me an item if it was not on a hanger. Realizing her rude tone she began to explain while ringing up my purchases the convenience of taking the hangers off. I use to recommend friends here but no I can get better service at a Mcdonalds drive through therefore I will not be returning indefinitely and I have shared my horrible experience with several people and coworkers. I will no longer go here not even if they had a "For Free" sign on all the windows. Terrible Customer Service. Rude. And if you dare.....do not go at closing time.

I dont use the word "hate" so i decided not to use the 1 star , a few days ago i went in and the cashier did not give me my credit card back , some person behind me was coughing and not covering their mouth , needless to say i wanted to get out , 4 hours later i went to the ATM and discovered my card was NOT given back to me , i called and was told to "come back and check" i polity asked this person who would not tell me who she was to check to see if it were there , on hold for 10 minutes , the person came back asked for my name - it matched , i was on the way , called BOA security , had to replace my card since god knows who had access to it , i arrived and found out that the person i spoke with on the phone was the MANAGER Jessica , rude rude rude , i will NEVER EVER go back into this corrupt place again , i attempted to contact the owner ( its a national company ) and was told they only communicate through emails - S0 WHO WOULD ONE SPEAK TO ABOUT A DONATION ? To funny these people are not polite nor do i think they should take youre card and hold it ..... BEWARE ! i should have checked but when one un-raised person spreads their germs around youd run to

Overall I like the store. Have found good deals there. The employees are mostly unfriendly. They all look and act exhausted and annoyed. No fitting rooms and no returns. Watch out purchasing electric and electronics as there are no returns. The store closes as 6:00 on weekdays but they lock the door at 5:45, maybe 5:50. Also they cannot or will not help you load furniture or anything heavy anymore so dont purchase if you cant get it in your vehicle by yourself. Its cash & carry so you cant pick up later. Hard to donate. No one is ever at the loading dock when Ive gone there so I donate elsewhere. However, on the good side, the store is almost always crowded so the stock turns over quickly. You will see new items every week and many times unique items.

After a visit to the Family Thrift Center today, I will NEVER go there again. Upon giving the cashier a $20. bill, she gave me change for a $10 bill and insisted I had given her a $10. I explained I knew it was a $20 as that was all the cash I had. She called what I suppose was the manager who was just as rude. He wanted me to leave my name and number and they would call me later when they "had the time" to count the drawer. I told them I would rather they "count the drawer" now. He and the cashier insisted it took so long to do that. Finally they took the drawer to count it and found I was correct. I never even got an apology or anything. He just thrust the money into my hand and that was it.

I went to this store for the first time today. I shouldve known it was pretty amazing when I pulled up and the decent sized lot was overflowing. We walked in and found THREE things wed been looking for months for and they were priced just right and Im cheap!! I will definitely, definitely be back!

This is one of my favorite thrift stores in Richmond. However, today it was very crowded and people were extremely pushy. There were also only 2 registers open with lines. Even with that, I will go back. I find the prices reasonable and they have a huge selection of everything.

Prices good, selection good.....they do not accept returns, no dressing rooms and at 6 pm everyone was told to STOP shopping, and check out....we are closing! They actually go through the store and round up everyone and herd them to the cashier. Will not be back....rude.

This is a friendly and safe location because of the usual presence of a Sheiffs deputy.They have very affordable prices on most items from A-Z, used clothing,shoes,boots,housewares and furniture,electric items,including electronics.I shop here at least twice a month.

Lots of great things,very very low prices..only bad thing is it gets pretty crowed,the parking lot is always packed & u cant return any items u bought..but I go here several times a month and always leave with a bag of goodies.

I love this store so much, they have a wonderful selection of clothes to choose from. I plan to go there this eveing to see what they have for my party attire! You must go if your trying to save money for the family!

Awesome variety of products for REALLY good prices. Will come back here more often! This store can get a tad crowded but nothing out of the ordinary at all. Cashier was very nice/helpful as well.

One of my all time favorite thrift stores! Staff is super friendly and always a nice selection of merchandise. They put out new things everyday so I try to stop in as often as possible.

Nice clothing selection except plus size selection is limited. Not too much furniture, furniture section is small. Down side is there are no public restrooms, fitting rooms or returns.
