The science fiction section leaves much to desire. When not sure how to price something they "check their prices" the item in question was in very poor condition and was marked 2 dollars he said he had to check it and came back and said it sold for ten. It was very sketchy seeming they were nice and I love books but was very disappointed in selection and in the way they handled pricing. While writing the review the owner just chased me down and told me I could have the item for the marked price and they were sorry about the misunderstanding. She was very sweet. Still not going to come back but feel a lot better about how it is being run.

Not only will Book People order any book that the big chains may stock or order for you, they will also try to find out-of-print books as well. The nice people who work there, and especially the owner Ruth Erb, are very adept at what they do. They have a delicious stock of new and used books, suited perfectly to their customers needs and wishes. Expect to spend several hours in there browsing - and then youll go back again the next day, too!

Mega Phaedrus

A lot of punch packed into a small space. Prices are average to maybe a little above for used books. The selection feels overwhelming at first, but as I delved deeper into the stacks, I noticed 85% of the authors were completely alien to me. A great place for random pickups but not sure if I could recommend visiting to find something specific.

I never do this, but this by far the best used bookstore Ive been to in years. The owner, Rurh, is the sweetest old lady Ive encountered in a while. The selection is endless and the price more than fair. Bring cash, Id suggest, although cards are accepted. The place is perfect, a rabbit hole. I spent hours here.

Used book stores are usually cramped but Ive never been in one this cramped! Plus the used section doesnt seem like its been updated in a decade or two. Decent new selection but still incredibly cramped. The woman that owns the place is very personable and nice.

I love this little bookstore. The people have gotten to know me over the years. Great place to stop in at lunchtime and buy great used ,and even new, books. I hope it stays around for many more years to come.
