First off friendly staff and I enjoy looking at used books, so I think of this less of just a store or more of a short stress-free vacation. But I feel like that in most bookstores. On the other hand the restrooms really need to be redone - doors seem not to lock - and it would be nice if the books were in some kind of order. I know they have them in sci-fi and fiction and such but outside of that if you are looking for a certain book it may take you some time. Also when they refuse a book or two they sometimes give you a weird reason. The last books they refused they said were too old but one of the books was, in fact, brand new, I had only read the thing once, and there was nothing wrong with it that I could see. Also one of the hardcovers, while over a decade old, was still in perfect condition with the dust jacket intact and everything. But maybe they also judge it by other factors - reviews, how many they have in stock, so on. Normally they process your books pretty fast. Only once did we have to go have lunch and come back and they warned us it would take time - one of their employees could not come in. Overall a enjoyable experience and I normally can get a book with the credit I receive and a few classical science fiction novels on the way out from the free book bin outside. Last time I was to find a Ursula K. Le Guin, a Mercedes Lackey, a Poul Anderson, and a hardcover Alice in Wonderland in the bin! Make sure to check the bin!

Very disappointing experience. I went in this store for the first time today and thought I was absolutely in love. My wife and I brought some old games and a system to sell. The process was simple enough - bring them your stuff, get a ticket, and theyll text you (and put your ticket number on screens throughout the store) when theyre done evaluating the worth of your items. They told us it would be about 1 1/2 hour wait to know anything because they were pretty busy. We had no problem with that, we were just excited to go through the store! We found a ton of amazing books, movies, and games for great prices. We spent two hours walking around the store, finding great stuff and talking to some awesomely helpful employees. After those two hours, we decided we were hungry so we went to check how the process was going. When we got to the counter they informed us that our evaluation was completed "hours ago" and yet no one had bothered putting our number up or texting us to let us know. They wouldve made us wait longer! They offered almost no money for some good quality items (but would give us double for store credit). Im so disappointed about that experience that I felt the need to write a review to warn others- dont get too excited about this place. It is worth shopping at for older games, gaming systems, movies, etc. However, one would be better off selling on amazon, ebay, or even craigslist.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I just walked out of there in tears. The manager talked very rudely to me and had his associates laughing at me and talking about me as I walked out. I have never been so disrespected in my entire life- even as a former retail associate! I went to buy 2 very damaged Barbies. I got to the cashier and and asked about getting some kind of discount because the boxes were broken. She was very polite and asked for me to hold for a manger. I waited 10 minutes. At one point she couldnt even get ahold of him, and then we had to wait because he was washing his hands. Im a little agitated. He gets up there and tells me he cant give me a discount. Im a agitated I had to wait 10 minutes for that, and I show it. He walks away, and in front of his associates he yells "I could have not had the attitude". I said "I could have not waited 10 minutes for you". His associates then proceed to laugh at me and begin taking about me so I can hear like "did you see what she bought?" "Do you see that look on her face". And they are laughing. I left embarrassed and in tears. I have never been so disrespected by a manager or associates before (having people laugh about me in front of me). I will never shop here again. Ever.

Ive only been to this bookstore once previously and today was my first time selling books to the store. While I waited patiently with my hands full of books the cashier (or whatever his title is for checking in books) was talking to other customers. For awhile, this man didnt acknowledge me and then a woman from the back told me to put my things in a white tote. While I did this a man with two white totes full of video games got in front of me. The red headed cashier (or whatever) told him kindly it would be a one hour wait. When he got to me (this being a solid 7 minutes into my visit) he checked me in and told me it would be a two hour wait. This being only the second time Ive been to the store, I have to say I dont know if I will go back. I loved buying from this store but clearly if it is your first time selling and you dont look like you know what you are doing the cashier (or whatever) will be remarkably CONDESCENDING FOR NO REASON AND IGNORE you until the last possible second. I will NOT be going back.

Great for purchasing books at a really low price. Horrible buy back rates. I sold over 30 items to this place (books & DVDs). My total buy back value was $6.80. I asked the woman at the buy back counter (I believe her name was Megann) how many items were actually purchased? her exact words "uh 13-14 I think". So I ask for the breakdown sheet so that I can understand how much they purchased each item for that brought them to an estimate of $6.80 . She said "sorry we dont do that". My suggestion is to go elsewhere if youre looking to get your moneys worth. Otherwise just purchase from them DONT sell. Even when I got to cashier station to cash out my reward (ha!) the woman was clearly young and immature as she made jokes with her friend about the Lord. Smh I wish google had negative star options.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. They have a large selection, though I dont think theres much turnover. I would not recommend selling or trading in your books here. Unless youre just looking to get rid of them. I traded in 34 books. These were good books, mind you, some in mint condition, hardbacks, quality paperbacks. I got $27.35--and that was trade in. You get less for cash--basically half. At $27.35, thats an average price of 80 cents. Not really the best. Now I am not saying that they are ripping off their customers. Absolutely not. Im just saying that if you want a better price, sell them yourself online.

This store is just insane. Do you need an original NES? They have it. Did you need Naruto themed toe socks? They have it. Do you need a cookbook about chocolate written by the most amazing pastry chef, Gale Gand? They have it! I absolutely loved this place and the only reason its getting 4 stars and not 5 is because I had to buy bags to carry all of the stuff I bought. I got to the cashier and was told they didnt have bags and I had to purchase $1.99 each tote bags to carry the insane amount of stuff I was buying. But other than that, its a great store; just bring your own bag.
