I am rating the flea market itself, and not the grounds as a campground for NASCAR fans. What I like about the flea market: grounds are decently well kept and clean; staff is usually professional and friendly; prices charged for flea market spots are very reasonable. What I dont like, and what prompts the two-star rating: rental spots are not marked(except the few with tables). This being said, it is left up to the customer to "pick their spot". How would you like to go to the mall and pick your own parking spot? Fairs and festivals that have cars parking in unmarked spots have several staff members directing cars where to park. Azalea flea market has none such staff. Customers start arriving as early as 4am. No-one is there to assist them in getting spots. Fights break out and cops come. Then the staff comes around in a golf cart around 10:30am to take your money, then they complain to the customer, telling them it is their fault that they are fighting and the cops are coming. Seriously? Azalea flea market should consider the breakdown in efficiency and provide a little much-needed mediation.

Didnt get a great experience. Went earlier in the day thinking we would get there before things were picked over. It was trash. I mean bundles of printer cables and old modems trash. I have no idea why this is listed as one of the great places to visit, but it was. Possible contributing factors. We went on Labor Day weekend assuming it was going to be packed. Nope. Could be that all the best vendors had chosen to go to some other popular flea in the area or out of the area? There was a storm that was supposed to be coming. Didnt end up materializing, but it could be possible that people were freaked out by the possibility of inclement weather?

Helter skelter no rhyme or reason. Cars driving by shoppers. Not many vendors or variety for a holiday weekend.

Inexpensive to vend, great deals to be had, but gravel and dust from potential customers can be annoying.

Saturdays are like a festival sans music. Sundays less crowded but still some good deals.
