I go picking at almost every thrift store in the Richmond area (North side, east side, west end & south side) and areas outside of Richmond. This has got to be one of the most overpriced Goodwills out of all of them and this includes the Goodwill in Short Pump. This store never has a good selection of items and how they justify their prices is ridiculous. This is a THRIFT STORE, not a BOUTIQUE! If you want to sell at boutique prices, then dont try to pass yourself off as helping the needy. Goodwill regularly marks their items at ridiculous prices, more so then some retail big box stores. One of the worst items I found at this store was a framed wedding invitation to some wedding in Maryland from the 1980s that was priced at $5.25, really? What was the person smoking that even put this item on the shelf!? And why would I pay $2.25 for an item that obviously still has a yard sale sticker on it for .25 cents? Do your homework people, this store is ripping you off!

I was a community sevice worker there the back of the store they treat you like slave everybody complains about everything management is horrible the place is complete chaos they dont supply any drinks or anything to the people working out side people out side in the heat get paid the same as some one in air conditioning folding clothes they have a revolving door of people working there because the dont care about the employes they dont go at all with the slogans on the walls electronics stacked every where never get moved people out side always short staffed because people leave never have any body stay long because its horrible there over worked under payed they just like having fresh backs in and out so the dont have to give any body raises no body gets raises at all even after 2 years worsed place i have ever scene doing community service

If you like to buy the hard jars of jewelry, dont go to this goodwill. They sell 20 dollar jars for 90 and then try to tell you that your getting a good deal because they are usually $200+. If thats not bad enough, they make sure that there is nothing of value in the jars. Everything is plastic, from the beads to the chains. Most goodwill stores are great... This one is not.

One of the better Goodwills around. The demographics and socioeconomics of the area makes it a prime place to get better types of donations. A good portion of donations are distributed to other locations that dont get as many donations. A friend who goes to a lot of them calls this The Good Goodwill.

more like illwill someone i know thats important to me used to wok here and the manager here thats a guy talked mad crap to her new job boss when she used this place as a reference as if we dont this manager as a sexual harrassment for being on this girl that worked here. you should be ashamed

23113 has the highest median household income for the entire Richmond area. Just a hint to all you fellow pickers out there! They price faded Ralph Lauren shirts at $8.99 but they dont know all the brands.... :-) ;-)

friendly and hardworking staff. wealthy families donate their gently/barely used goods to this store so the selection is typically a goldmine compared to other goodwill/thrift stores. always clean.
