Used to go here all the time for pet supplies but stopped. Bought a fancy goldfish and 2 black moors from here yesterday. All three died before acclimating from my 75 gallon tank. Went back to the store this AM with my receipt and spoke to the manager who informed me I needed to bring in the dead fish as proof that they died to make sure I wasnt trying to pull one over on the store. I asked if she was serious. I work in the vet field and this is a ridiculous policy. I do understand WHY its in place but, seriously Pet smart? You want customers to bring in their dead animals they purchased in good faith from you? Thats sick. I was a very loyal customer to this particular store but I will not be going back. That policy is wrong and just gross. So if a hamster, guinea pig or your fish die, expect to bring them back in as proof.

The store is clean and the people are nice enough when you are listening to them about basic knowledge on animals. I asked a few questions about different types of bulbs for my bearded dragon and the women seemed a little snotty about what she was telling me. It seemed like she knew how it all worked because petsmart trained her the basic steps in caring for them. Unfortunately I know all those things and was asking more in depth questions and she kind of just went in circles. Just because Im shopping in petsmart doesnt mean I just got my pet yesterday and have no clue what Im doing.
