I previously lived in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland and while I lived there, I never experienced a Giant Store in that state that wasnt very clean, well stocked, and with friendly, professional personnel. That said, I moved here to Woodbridge Virginia a year ago, and have found that the majority of the Giant Stores in the Woodbridge area around my home are not nearly as clean, or as well stocked, the produce is typically of very poor quality. The aisles cluttered with merchandise, making getting through them easily very frustrating. I finally found that If I wanted to achieve the same quality of Giant Stores that I experienced in Maryland, I was going to have to travel a bit farther out of my neighborhood to get to it. To date, Ive found that this Giant on Ox Road in Lorton, is one of the two Giant stores I shop at! This store looks clean, smells clean, the aisles are typically uncluttered, and produce, meats and various products are fresh and plentiful. The personnel are friendly & helpful as well. I also go the the Giant store at Hedges Run (?) and typically find the same great conditions and helpful personnel at that store as well. I dont understand why the other Giant stores in the Woodbridge, VA arent as well managed. I have three which are closer to me mileage wise, but frankly, Ill go the "extra mile" to be able to shop in the well managed Giant store.

I visit the store often because it is very convenient on my way to or from work but on Monday June 28 I found that a propane powered floor machine was in use trailing noxious fumes. Use of propane indoors is not a very good idea but when the combustion engine is extremely well tuned so that all the fuel is combusted and the ventilation rate in the warehouse or other space is adequate it can be acceptable. That was not the case on Monday. I heard what sounded like a poorly tuned lawnmower spluttering along with the worker wearing a respirator to try and combat the fumes from the machine. The smell of partly burned hydrocarbons that surely included a lot of CO and other harmful chemicals along with completely unburned propane smell was very objectionable for this early morning customer and i would like to know that the practice stops right away. If the store manager will post a sign near the service area I will be happy to discuss the matter further/

Walked in and ordered 4 gift baskets. Donna was so sweet, she fixed me up with fruit, candy, cheese, crackers, sausage and a candle in every basket. They are beautiful, and HEAVY. She had them ready by noon for pickup. Seriously the transaction could not have went smoother, the quality of her work is great and I did not have to deal with flower shop prices. The floral area in this Giant is always stocked with fresh beautiful flowers. Thank you Donna, I will be back!

Poor selection in the produce department, especially of items that are not already rotting on the shelf. The deli department closes at 8pm. Im pretty sure Im not the only person who goes grocery shopping after 8pm, so Im not sure why they close that department so early. If you end up needing to go elsewhere to finish your grocery shopping anyway, why bother going there in the first place?

Was in the store all of 5 mins and the women with shoulder length grey hair behind the customer service counter could have said all the same things without being so rude. I understand if you dont want to be at work, but maybe hide it a little better. Wont be going back there if thats the kind of "customer service" you get. There are a million grocery stores in Lorton/Burke.

Not well organized. Same products on opposite sides of store. Half the cheese in one corner. The other half in another. Fruit juices on one side, fruit smoothies the other. Donuts here...donuts there. Grouping like products together makes an easier shopping experience for the customer. Food quality seemed fine. Employees were fine.

We moved to Lorton 2 years ago and just not impressed with this location at all. Not well-stocked, staff not very helpful....we go to one a little further almost Springfield instead...but mostly we go to the new Wegmans in Alexandria. NO comparison.

REALLY good customer service from my cashier, Colin. Good selection of non-beef items (chicken/turkey sausages, veggie patties, etc.) for grilling.
