Ordered an arrangement but needed to discuss design options. The sales clerk said that the designer had left early but we could stop by the next day to do so. My son and I went the next day and the designer/owner thrust a completed arrangement and said that it was made already - the order wasnt due to be picked up for 2 more days. The roses were already wilted and had brown spots. When I brought this up saying that the arrangement was not acceptable the designer went on a racist rant about how these foreigners come in and say we pay you money and you need to give us whatever we like. I dont think race is of any relevance in a business transaction. And isnt a business transaction about paying money to get goods/services delivered to the customers satisfaction? She continued to rant and rave about bringing up 3 sons who were doctors and working hard, none of which was relevant to the issue at hand. Moreover she contradicted herself several times saying there were no brown spots and that these roses came from Africa and not from her backyard and that some of them did have brown spots but that our arrangement was better than the others that shed made. While I stood there waiting to get back my receipt she shouted Leave or I will call the cops. At that point, I said that I will wait for the cops to come and sort out the issue. She came threateningly to my face and said you are pretty but very nasty. She continued again with her rant. When we finally got the receipt and started to leave, she came after my son and thrust the arrangement at him telling him to take it and not to listen to his mother. Needless to say we left in complete disgust!!

I went on-line and sent my husband a picture of an arrangement I liked from the Dulles Florist. They had several beautiful arrangements on their website - in fact, they had nicer items than most of the websites Id seen. The arrangement that came was nothing like what was on the website. My husband spent +$120 on an arrangement that I could have made myself. It came with fewer roses than was advertised, it was missing some of the foliage that was supposed to be with it and parts of the arrangement were dead. I really felt that it was false advertising. The store representative said that the website was provided by their national chain - its not necessarily what they had and certain items that were in the arrangement they didnt even carry in the store. My thought is, if you cant provide it, dont have a picture of it on your website. I spoke to my husband about it and he was surprised - he said there was a checkbox at the end of the order form that asked if youd allow the florist to substitute items. He specifically checked no. Looks like they overlooked that. Spare your spouses and significant others - dont order from here.

I live in another state and needed to order a Mothers Day gift for my mother-in-law. Dulles Florist was helpful, polite, and took time to help me order a unique wreath for my in-laws front door. When it was delivered (on time and on the right date) I got a phone call just gushing about how lovely and unique the arrangement was. I will definitely be calling Dulles Florist each time I need a special gift for my family in the area!

The owner truly puts her thoughfulness and care into every arrangement. You cant find this type of service from an "internet or 1-800" florist. Worth every penny!!!
