I didnt notice much about stock or neatness of the place. I had just driven eight hours in a car and needed to pick up some little things I had forgotten at home. Target and brand has always been a beloved place of me and the family so why not shop at a place Im familiar with. As me and my family walk to the self-checkout I notice a young lady standing at the entrance way, we exchange greetings. Three seconds later as my daughter is taking our things out the cart, I realize I dont have space to take a step back and check under the cart to see if my travel size items had fallen through or not. The young greeter was standing right behind me. So close I could feel her heat. I asked if everything ok? Did I do something wrong? She replies no, just doing my job, so I continue with my purchase. As Im paying she asked if I forgot to pay for my sons hat. With this look on her face like she had just discovered America, almost cocky. I replied no, we came in with this. I felt racially profiled!! As a traveler new to this area I should have been treated better. My children should not have been subject to seeing such inhuman treatment, they dont understand "adult" stuff. Im very disappointed in the actions of this young woman. I make more than enough to pay for my belongings but ultimately its the store who is at fault for undereducating this lady of her duties and how to go about them in a tactful manner. Needless to say, we will not return to the store location. I found one closer to the beach where we were staying. I hope this store gets its act together, its the consumers who make it run.

I stopped by Target this afternoon to pick up a few items. While I was there, I noticed a display of bananas that were on sale, located near the front of the store. So, I added one bunch of bananas to my cart and went on with my shopping. Later, after I had paid for my items and was heading towards the exit, I decided to check my receipt. It was then that I realized I had been charged for each individual banana in the bunch. I though that they would charge it by the pound, not by each fruit. I turned around and asked another nearby cashier for help with this, and he pointed me towards the customer service department. Once I was there, I told an associate that I had been overcharged and wanted a refund. I handed her the bananas, and she asked another associate to print her some stickers for the bananas because they would have to be thrown out, and gave me an ugly look. I asked her why they were going to be thrown away. There was absolutely nothing wrong with them. I had literally just bought them minutes before. Without even looking at me, she muttered that anytime a food item is brought back, it has to be thrown out. This is ridiculous. I hadnt even left the store when I decided to return them. Targets policy on food returns is wasteful and unacceptable. To waste perfectly good food because a customer is unwilling to pay an unreasonable price for it is just wrong. And forget dealing with rude Target employees. I will never shop at Target again.

I went to Target when on vacation in Hampton. It was close to the hotel I stayed at which was convenient. I went there to shop for some exercise clothes and shoes. As soon as I entered the store, the Starbucks was in front across from customer service. Then I instantly saw my section. I walked towards the fit wear clothing, grabbed some sweats and tops, a pair of tennis shoes, and got my friend some tweezers. The tweezers were cheap as the other items were a bit more of course. Ended up spending a good amount but it was definitely worth it because hit the fitness room right after. I recommend anyone shop here!

AVOID>>>this target sucks.. they sent me to a different target b/c they didnt have the item. Drove to South county and they didnt have it either. They tried to charge me extra to exchange an item that was the same item just a different size. i will not be going back unless i have to. Pharmacy is a nightmare too. They tell you they are out after you drive there and they told you that it would be in or they will call you. Save you time, money, and gas.. Go somewhere else.

Fairly new store but grossly understaffed. Clean but perishable items in the grocery area should be closely inspected for date expiration. Update: Customer service is a complete afterthought at this location. More effort On stocking midday rather than taking care of the customers requests and questions. Electronics counter is never staffed, I would advise Walmart, Best Buy or Amazon for any of those needs. Store Manager should brush up on retail basics.

One of the most ghetto Targets in the area if not *the most* ghetto. This Target has multiple security guards inside the store, staff is unfriendly, store is a bit disorganized from other Targets, and parking is dirty. I only go here because it is the closest Target from my apartment and Im a loyal Target fan. Spend the extra few minutes and go to the Newport News Target is my recommendation.

For the most part its a nice store. They could use more people in the electronics department because the lady who was helping me set up a new phone, had to keep stopping to help other people because she was the only one back there. She was really nice and very efficient, it was just kind of a bother. I dont have these problems at the Newport News or Chesapeake Square Targets.

I love target. I travel throughout the area for work and always end up stopping at a target somewhere. But this one could be better. The store is clean and organized but staff here always seem annoyed and the store itself always seems understaffed, no matter what time of day Im there, compared to the other Target stores I stop in.

Its another target.. Ive seen nicer I do wish they took better care of restrooms,they smell like pee as soon turn the corner and the female bathroom smells like a dirty mens room all the time. Sometimes the line gets long and electronics may not have personnel other than the cellphone guy but overall its not bad.

The Management and the Guest Relations women were both very rude, condescending, and outright mean. I do not recommended this location of Target at all. They do not even deserve one star; but this location rating system requires a star be rated in order to have a review.

Efficient, convenient, cost-effective, quality products. Also, the grocery department is a welcome addition. All of the basics are there but the produce and the wide variety of protein(often pre-cooked) are an enormous & delicious time saver!

Husband was just told they wont except a manufacturer coupon for just today when all other Targets are accepting. Called to find out why and got put on hold only to never get anyone before just hanging up. Very disappointed!

I asked help trying to find a certain bedside table (that I found at newport news) and instead of trying to help me find it, he told me, thats all they had and went back to wondering. I ended up finding it on my own.
