since this was a newer shop in the area i decided to get my next piercing here. i went in for an industrial and the 2 douche bags working seemed bothered i had stopped by. they were very inattentive and short with me. i sat down and waited for to be pierced. then a few jail bait chicks came in and the artist decided to pierce me mid convo with the jail bait without saying a word TO me. i didnt even know he was ready to pierce me until the needle went in. this place has a bad reputation for re-using needles and i DID NOT see if he opened a fresh needle since everything went so fast and the guy didnt communicate with me at all. every other time ive gotten piercings the artists made it a point to SHOW me him opening a fresh needle. not to my surprise, one of the holes got infected. and since then ive talked to about 10 different people who also got infections after getting pierced here. skip this scenester, douchebag factory, hole and go to Jack Brown Tattoo Revival or Golden Monkey if you cant get in at JB. ive managed a business before, and i expect quality customer service, even from a tattoo parlor. another review here reminded me of another thing that bothered me. i went up front and he handed me a paper towel with little to no words to put on my ear and gave NO after care instructions. didnt even try to upsell me the stores over priced aftercare fluid. i feel horrible for young girls that go there for their first tat or piercing. i tell all my customers who comment about my tat on my arm and what places locally i can recommend to go ANYWHERE but sorry mom.

Wanted a cover up tattoo for my back, a wrap around tattoo ( like a belt but not literally) to cover scars, and my arm to cover another scar and naval piercing. I was excited because I had heard a lot of good things about this place...but when I got there well I shouldnt have. It was a small shop...NO, THAT didnt bother me one bit. There was only 1 Tattooist there, still that wasnt an issue. They had ample photos to pick from or get ideas from but I had drawn up my own precise, intricate, meaningful designs. I was prepared to meet the artist, see some of his work and make an appointment. He was working on a customer who was accompanied by about 5 of her friends hovering over get and gawking at her, still...not an issue. What WAS an issue was that I made eye contact with the tattooist...he saw me, and saw it was obvious I wasnt part of the group that was already there. My presence wasnt acknowledged at all...I was there for 1/2hr...NO hello, Ill be with you in a moment, how can I help you etc. I didnt expect him to stop working but it was awkward as hell and uncomfortable to be there and being ignored. The other girls were giving me dirty looks and the atmosphere was just unacceptable. Disappointed in the energy I wasted on excitement, gas to get there, and the 30 minutes Ill never get back. Just really disappointed.

I just got my septum pierced there today, & Im very upset with the outcome. I was a little nervous but I was ready to get it done. I was in & out in five minutes, which may sound nice, but it surely wasnt. On top of the fact that the piercing studio is IN THE FRONT right next to waiting room, I had everyone staring at me which stressed me out even more than I already was. Second, my piercer did ZERO sanitation. He did not put iodine or rubbing alcohol on either of my nostrils. He didnt even wipe them off. He just opened up the needle package, wiped it off with who knows what, then shoved it on in. Itll be a MIRACLE if this thing doesnt get infected. I wasnt given ANY aftercare, or even told how to take care of my piercing. He didnt even mention aftercare. He didnt tell me about what to use, when to clean it, etc. Then to top off the situation, THE PIERCING IS CROOKED!!!!! He didnt try to line it up or anything. He just shoved it in! The ring is hanging sideways in my nose. I paid $37 (I tipped $10 because I was high on endorphins....lol shouldnt have given him SH**.) Im really upset about how disgusting this shop is & that its in my home town. ZERO SANITATION! Absolutely disgusting. They dont realize how serious body modifications are. Strongly dont recommend this to anyone.

Over a month ago, first time I went in for a consultation I had Called about days before, I was not greeted with any niceness whatsoever. The spindly little man, with some sort of facial hair and glasses, who Did acknowledge me snarled at me when I asked for a specific artist and seemed positively peeved and acted like I was a creep for asking for her by name. I was very put off. I had to wait about 11-12 ish minutes before he got back to me on whether she was available and then acted like I was a bother and nothing but stupid and in the way. I felt awful. More awful when I had come offering my money and talked about my design with the artist and more than a lot was being changed I was told I couldnt get any work done that day even though there was only one guy getting his arm done. I have been rethinking the whole thing and the more I do I am convinced I wont be going to get my ink done there. I had also had to drive 2 hours and 36 minutes to get there because when I had called twice(!) before going in and I asked how far it was from Norfolk/VA Beach area they said 30 minutes or so both times. Only when I googled it myself did I find Holy Cow my tank would be devoted to a disappointing drive and rejection.

i had my nose pierced while out of town and it was a bloody and traumatic experience it was so bad i had blood drip down my face, i went white, i had a cold sweat and i had a full on panic attack right after it was done..and after all that it ended up falling out in my sleep two weeks later. But i loved it and wanted it back so after letting it close up i went to sorry mom to get it redone, this lovely woman did it for me and there was no blood or dramatics! i went back there to get my septum pierced a few months later and i believe drew did it (he wears glasses and has dark hair) he was nice and so was the other artist that was there. he wore gloves and opened a new sterile pack of equipment and did it for me and it was also a smooth piercing job. i would go back for more piercings if i get more

I have had SEVERAL tattoos done at sorry mom and they have done great work. I have a sleeve on my right arm that has been mostly done by Sorry Mom Tattoo and most of it was hand drawn on my arm by Wes and all of them have turned out great and most people who see my tattoos are very impressed with the work and I send all of my friends and family to Sorry Mom Tattoo. I know all of the artists who work there and they are all very down to earth and very people friendly. If you want you terrible service and one word piercers/tattoo artists go to the "competition", if you want personable, friendly people, and just good tattoos go to Sorry Mom Tattoo. Two Thumbs UP!!!!!
