This store has Very Poor Customer Service. I ordered several items at the online store. For the items that were already available in-store, i immediately received an email saying they were ready for pick up. For the other items, i received an email several days later saying the items had been shipped to the store and I would receive notification when these items were ready. Today, I received a phone call saying my items were ready for pickup (no description of items noted in the message). So I called the store and spoke to a representative in merchandise pickup dept. I explained to the man that I had several items awaiting pickup and asked him to check if all the items were in. He said to me "Hold on while I go physically check that they are here". Approx 1 minute went by, and the man came back on the phone and stated all items were ready. I asked again if he was sure and told him that I was expecting 2 tablet computers but had not received an email to say they were ready, just the phone call. He assured me the items were there. Hearing this, i drove the 50.4 miles from my house to the store ONLY to find out the 2 tablets were not in fact there. His response to my question was, "the man you talked to made a mistake". I asked to speak to a manager and Vonda came out and again just stated it was a mistake. When I explained to her that I had specifically asked the man to check and he said he did, a simple we made a mistake would not correct the situation. Vonda then offered to have the items shipped to my home. I explained to her that I didnt request that originally because I didnt want my granddaughter to possibly see the items i was getting her for Christmas and that I have problems with UPS finding the right address. All the store was willing to do was ship it to me. I asked if they could give me a comparable item and was told they have nothing comparable (yeah right). even after explaining that I had driven 50.4 miles (ONE WAY), the customer service reps showed no concern about me as a customer. So Sears people, if you are reading this, if you want to know why your stores are on the verge of bankruptcy and closing, look no further than your POOR customer service. Needless to say I will not be shopping at Sears (or Kmart) any longer. Signed, One Unhappy FORMER Customer

This store deserves no stars, but that is an option. Customer service is terrible at best. Ordered a mattress set over 3 weeks ago (delivery was suppose to be one week). They delivered the box springs after two weeks (no mattress). Cancelled the order and my store rep called saying they could get the mattress delivered but would need to charge me credit card again (I was never refunded). Needless to say, I cancelled and am still waiting for them to pick up the box springs. Offered to take them back to to the store myself, but the Sears store doesnt take returns. The incompetency is astounding, they cannot schedule a pick-up or issue a return. The saga continues... they were suppose to pick up this morning but didnt call with a 2 hr window... guess I will be calling AGAIN at 10. I just want my money back so I can go purchase a new mattress set somewhere else...

Cashier was unable to honor Sears online price & Sears online coupon. I used my phone to purchase the product at the cash register while the cashier looked at me. I went in later that week to purchase a different product, and after waiting 20 minutes for a cashier, I bought it with my phone and went downstairs for their in-store pickup. Both purchases were power tools. Employee Tre was nice, but completely incapable of answering any questions about any of the products. (I can read the labels myself, btw.) Sears has decent products, but their stores resemble a funeral home. Also, nice touch letting someone hijack your Google profile to put up pictures of their Porsche. At least that Porsche and Sears have one thing on common - they were both a lot nicer in 1992.

I had a terrible experience trying to order a washer and dryer from sears. Honestly if I could give no stars I would. They were rude (one associate actually called me a liar.) and did not value me as a customer at all. For someone that was trying to spend $1200 at their store you would think that I would have been treated better. When I asked to speak with a store manager he was also rude and said "well what would you like me to do about it" in a sarcastic tone. I will NOT be ordering or shopping here EVER again.,.... 2 days and many hours on the phone later I ordered my set from Home Depot and they were VERY helpful!! I would honestly think twice about spending any money here.

This store has serious issues with customer service. Its a shame because Sears still makes very good products. My poor experience was with the Appliance department. I will spare you all the boring details but summary is that the store operates like its still in the 1960s, which means: they will try to gouge you on warranties; it is difficult to return or service purchased items; organizational/cross-store store communication is poor, so each department is on an island. It all adds up to a very poor customer experience. With global competition and the speed of information you cant overcome this level of organizational incompetence; not even with great products.

I would like to share my experience in two different transactions at the Fredericksburg VA Sears auto service store. I purchased two new tires for my 91 BMW with a wheel alignment added to it. The salesperson named Brian was very professional and knowledgeable about the whole transaction. The TECH. named Teddy was very helpful and quick to work on my car. The next day I went to Sears auto service again to buy a car cover for my 78 corvette. The salesperson named Will was very helpful in finding exactly what I was looking for. Thank you Sears for having such great employees at your store. I will definitely recommend this store to my friends and family.

Have been to the lawn and garden department many times , the staff really doesnt give a %$#& they just give vague answers .. really dont know much of the products . even told me a lawn tractor and garden are the same . may be even a bit racial im Asian but talk fluent no accent . They just go on line and try to sell you whats there . Ask one technical question and they get that look like they have to go to the bath room , as much as i hate it i have to stay craftsman/Sears cos all the garden stiff is craftsman. But will slowly try to buy J.D or Cub Cadet products so i can migrate slowly to better service .

Placed an order for a tool chest that said it was in stock. The processing came back saying it was on back order for a month. Called to see if they would fulfill the order out of a nearby store for me to go pick up. Customer Service said they cant do that without cancelling and placing another order. I asked about whether the next order would flip to a back order and they said they dont know. No wonder Sears is going down hill. I used to love them and try to always buy Craftsman (which are now made in China). So sad.
