I went to Ava Laurenne with the understanding that the dresses were probably out of my price range but I wanted to get an idea of what I liked. I had heard SO MANY wonderful things about this shop so I knew we had to visit. My first appointment was on a busy Saturday and I had 3 bridesmaids and my mom with me. We were immediately greeted by a woman I would soon come to find out was one of the owners, Wendy. She immediately made me feel at home and had my bridesmaids seated in a beautiful sitting area. I tried on several dresses when a dress across the room caught my eye. Wendy tried to squeeze me into it (haha) but it was a street size 2 and I am a 6 or an 8. It was a dress from the shops private collection so it was one of a kind (aka I couldnt go anywhere else to find it or try it on). I had a bridesmaid try the dress on and fell in love with it. Wendy told me she usually doesnt recommend buying a dress you cant try on but that she was so confident I would love the fit on myself if I decided to buy it and ended up hating it that the shop would keep it and I could pick another dress instead. This was a really generous offer and it made me realize that Wendy really is the best and just wants brides to find the perfect dresses. I left that day without getting the dress and immediately sent them a message explaining that I loved the dress but I just couldnt spend so much on a dress I hadnt tried on. A couple days later I got a call from Ashley at the shop and she told me that the next weekend they were having a trunk show on their private collection...I felt like this was fate and the fact that they took the time to reach out to me meant a lot. I found a store in VA Beach that had a similar fit dress and loved the way it looked on me. My mom and I drove up to Fredericksburg on the next Saturday and I GOT THE DRESS!!!! They went out of their way to celebrate with me when I decided on the dress and made it so special. Everyone was so wonderful and helpful. I never expected to get into dress shopping the way I did and I really have Wendy and her crew to thank for that. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had shopping for ANYTHING!!! which says a lot. I cannot wait to go back and try on my dress when it comes in... I will be bringing the rest of my bridesmaids this time because I want them to experience the beautiful shop and amazing atmosphere. I rambled on a lot here but I really just want to say THANKS!!! and tell other brides to go to this shop! Wendy and her crew are changing the way wedding dress shopping is done for the better :)

Purchased a dress in mid November 2016. Experience at store was pleasant, but confusing during check out. I got a skirt (off the rack) and a bodice, which was going to be ordered. I was told at the time the bodice would take 6-12 weeks to come in and that they would just hold the skirt for me. I put down 50% at the store and instructed that I would hear from them as soon as the bodice came in. Nothing about when the remainder of the balance was due or how to pay it (I live out of state). Flash forward to mid January. Still had not heard from the shop, so I decided to email AND call. Took them a week to email me back (no info on the status of the bodice ordered). I called a week after that email to speak to someone in person. I was blown off and told I would get called back later that evening... didnt happen. I called two days later and finally got an answer! I was told the bodice would not be in until the first week of June. 6.5 MONTHS from the date of purchase...NOT 12 weeks at the max. Her explanation was that I still had a balance, so it was nice of the shop to order it before it was paid in full. NO ONE told me I had to pay the entire balance before they ordered it! The 50% I paid at the time of purchase was enough to cover the bodice though. The womans solution was to swap out the size 8 bodice I ordered for a size 12, which they had in stock. That to me just means more money for alterations... I am a very unhappy customer and would never suggest this shop to any bride. The in store experience was fine, but their management and organization is TERRIBLE. If I could get a refund for the $400 I paid in november, I would in a heart beat. I dont even want to wear their dress anymore.

ALB was the place I went to, after a horrendous "dress fitting" with another store in NOVA who were just horrible. I was wary after my first bridal appointment to try another shop, but my mother kept at it and had me set up an appointment here at ALB. Not only were the staff absolutely welcoming and friendly, my consultant Ashley helped me pick a variety of styles and shapes to narrow down what I would want to wear on my big day. This bridal salon is absolutely spectacular. For a few months I thought I found "the dress," until I checked in with the designers/dresses they had in stock and they somehow managed to have my dream dress at the store. I went by myself to the fitting and Ashley helped me into not just that dress, but others that were similar to it. My third and most amazing bridal appointment, I brought my mother, my brother, and my best friend - to try on the one single dress I was in love with. They all loved it, it somehow fit me like a glove, and bought the dress then and there. Wendy, the owner, and her husband, Gabe, are both extremely kind and welcoming. The entire staff are dedicated to making this time in your life less stressful but even more beautiful. Its clear that they are truly dedicated to their patrons and to the love they want to share with the world. I cant thank ALB enough for helping me on this journey for the perfect dress.

I went to a different dress shop in Fredericksburg right before going to my appointment and left feeling disappointed. So, I walked into Ava Laurenne with my family and maid of honor not thinking that I was going to find anything. Boy was I wrong! The first person that greeted me was my consultant, Ashley. She let us all settle in and asked me what look I was interested in. So, soon after she was ready. The first dress she picked out for me was absolutely gorgeous! Not at all what I was looking for but I thought maybe that would be the one until the second dress, which was their own private label. I tried it on, went down to show my family and they erupted! She accessorized the look and was so accommodating to my family (who were kind of all into everything and excited). Haha the best part is, when I finally said yes to the dress they rearranged the whole store and the owner and his wife sang a gorgeous song! I am not usually someone who gets choked up and emotional but man oh man! The experience I had at Ava Laurenne was nothing but magical! They turned my day completely around. If youre looking for a bridal shop that knows what theyre doing, how to treat you and will take their time accommodating your every need go to Ava Laurenne! They dont just do their job because they get a paycheck, theyre hearts are in it as well!
