After shopping at this location for over 10 years, and spending over $50K, yes 50 Grand at this place in just the past YEAR. I am officially a Lowes customer. Terrible service, Manager has no clue how to retain a customer base or keep calm during a tense conversation for that matter. They just lost a loyal customer (and everyone that I know), over a $250 product exchange. Doing a bathroom renovation for a property and I purchased a left hand drain bath tub here with some store credit I had from prior transactions. Halfway through our build we decided to move the drains to the right side of the bathroom. Brought the tub back in (STILL SEALED WITH THE FACTORY STAPLES) for a simple exchange for the same tub with the right hand drain. I did not keep the receipt, over my 10 years of shopping at this location, Ive been able to exchange a new unused product without a receipt. Fast forward to the cashier denying the exchange I asked to speak with a manager. Manager arrives, wearing absolutely NO home depot identification, not a name tag, not an apron. For all I know he couldve been another shopper standing behind the counter. Manager asked that I go buy something to read the return policy on the receipt. Just as I was headed over to buy a soda to see a receipt he stops me and shows me a receipt. Receipt directs you to the Return Policy Sign in the store. I kindly asked to see the sign in store and he rudely responded by saying "I am the Manager and I AM THE RETURN POLICY". I asked for his name and he provided only his first, said he did not have a last name. I didnt know Home Depot employed Madonna at this place. Ive never felt this disrespected as a shopper and will not be shopping at this place ever again. If I had the ability to give negative stars on this forum, id give this a -5. This manager could not keep calm in an escalated situation, I do not know how he passed the behavioral questionnaire these retail jobs require. I was able to go to a different Home Depot location on the same day and exchange the tub, WITHOUT A RECIEPT. Goes to show how terrible this Seven Corners location and its management is. Serious Training Required for This Management Staff.

It pains me to give The Home Depot a negative review. I had been a happy customer for over 15 years - the first time I became a homeowner - and have left very positive reviews before, but this particular store seems to be on mission to disappoint me over and over again. The latest and final straw was ordering carpet and hardwood floors for my home. We had a 3-week window where the bottom floor of our home was going to be without any furniture and though it was the perfect opportunity to replace the flooring. We chose our styles and colors and requested a measurement with hopes to have it all done within 2 weeks (as we were told). Then came the delays and the excuses, the hidden fees, and the lies, and the fine print. After two and a half weeks the only thing they had accomplished was the measurement, which was nearly two weeks late because someone at HD could not put the order in properly. This put the installation out of our window, so we shifted some things and bought ourselves an extra week. Lo and behold, we were told the carpet was not going to be installed in seven days after purchase in spite of the seven day guarantee. We were also told that the guarantee didnt apply to the flooring products we purchased because the fine print has all these exceptions. At this point, I washed my hands of this store and have vowed to never return. I may visit the Falls Church store if Im desperate, but no more HD for me.

Going to Home Depot is like trying to navigate the frozen Tundra in flip flops, at night! If you know what you are looking for, as in, if you are an experienced professional who deals with these items everyday, then you will like Home Depot. But if you are like the rest of us - the average Joes just trying to save a buck and doing it yourself, then good luck trying to have a good shopping experience. Looking help here is trying to find that one needle in a haystack! The other day I was looking to buy a drill machine after my old drill died. So I found the first help I could spot and he came over to help me. So his help went like this - he read the names of all the drills on display and said I could pick anyone I like! I kid you not, that is what he did. So I reminded him that I wanted recommendations based on my specific needs, to which he started back at 1 and started to read off all the names once more! Really, I could have done that myself, and how will that help me decide on a drill? Is there no training that goes on before the salespeople are let loose on the shop floor? Too bad I am stuck with shopping here coz there is no alternative to the Home Depot in Arlington :(

I live near this Home Depot, so it is convenient for me, but going to this store is very frustrating for a host of reasons, starting with the parking lot, which is covered but dark, and very difficult either not to get run over or hit another car backing out because of the large number of trucks limiting visibility to the average consumer. Getting help is a challenge in the evenings because the person in charge of a department is not there, and weekends because of the long waits in line. Returning something is a nightmare of waiting in line for either staff shortage or customer dissatisfaction or both The staff are for the most part courteous (see below for an exception), but also frustrated whether because they are inadequately trained or the procedures to, for example, exchange something are lengthy and complex. Rarely does one come out of this store with a product one was searching for, as it either must be ordered or is sold only in large quantities for builders. On one occasion we requested a manager when two young employees engaged in fisticuffs while we waited for help to our car. The manager apologized but not the employees. I miss Hechingers.

I have now been on hold for seventeen minutes, waiting to ask a sales associate if they carry a product. I need to tell you about this on-hold experience. It is sub-par. The hold music itself? The same six-second guitar riff, repeated over and over and over and... over and over and over.... Its like listening to a teenage guitarist practice. As the minutes pass, it will burn into your brain like the whine of a dentists drill. Fortunately, every minute or so a voice will cut in saying, "Thank you for calling Home Depot" in a way that makes you think your call has finally been answered. It has not. You are still on hold, and listening to a polite, almost inappropriately chipper woman apologize as she encourages you to stay on the line. "Now please listen to my boyfriend practice his chord progressions" is not explicitly stated. Minute 25. My will to live has been reduced by 17%. At this point, its become a battle of wills between me and a phone which (I figure) is actually ringing into an empty warehouse in Akron, Ohio. This is not a productive use of my time.
