I live only 10 minutes away, have shopped there since the 80. Though they moved to a bigger store, they retain incredible customer service, especially from the owner who is often on premises. They will walk you through your project, including tricks of the trade. They can be just a bit more than big box, but considering the convenience, less gas to get there, less crowds, better knowledge base, it can definitely be worth it. They have incredible variety as well as bins of single bolts, nuts, etc. And free popcorn at the back. :)

When you walk in, someone offers to help you. As you walk around, someone offers to help you. They have pretty much everything the big stores have plus great customer service. They rent tools and equipment, have lumber and a garden section. Did I mention that someone always offers to help you? They also have a waffle truck in the morning (maybe just on weekends?), a snow cone stand and a fresh produce stand outside.

This is a great store and a convenient place to shop. You can always find what you want and at a reasonable price. Dont have to run to 3 or more "big stores" looking for an unusual part to complete a project. They also sell in small quantities (if needed). Family-run business. Very friendly / helpful owners and staff. Ive been buying there for over 15 years and swill continue to do so!

Friendly, to the point and always have a genuine want to help attitude. They always have what I need even if I dont know what exactly I am looking for. Jimmy has helped me several times over the years and has always been an immense help and pleasure. These qualities that you find at Kendall are long lost when you go to a Lowes or HD. Great hardware store, friendly/knowledgeable staff who are always looking to help, and is in a great location as a one stop shop for Marylands best produce from the Rizzmull guys, Amazing waffles on Saturdays and cool you down snowballs. very helpful even on small items they will help you look or order it if they can.I always shop here instead of big box stores. This is the most helpful store there is .I had some key blanks that they didnt sell and they cut them for me and they worked perfectly.This store wrote the book on good service.

Steve and his crew know that the only way they can compete is with excellent service. When Im stuck on a DIY project, I head to Kendall where I know that experts will take the time to explain how to do things. Plus, you can still buy loose hardware here. Try doing that at big-box stores!

Kendall Hardware is a business where the employees will really help you out with what you need, rather than just direct you to an aisle of endless products. Thats rare in any store these days, which is why I prefer to go there versus other chain hardware stores.

This is a great family run store, good prices, always helpful. You can by many items in single quaintly when needed ( need one bolt you dont have to buy a box of 20!!). They will custom order , I drive past the big hardware stores to by here

Great hardware store that feels much more personal than Lowes or Home Depot. The equipment rental process is simple and accommodating. This is where we go for our garden plants. Plus, free popcorn is available in the back of the store!

Why go here instead of the big box stores? For starters, we needed salt for our sidewalk and driveway and while Home Depot and Lowes were out, Kendall Hardware was not. Thanks Steve for having salt in stock!
