I very rarely find myself in need of anything at a fabric store. I dont sew!! But once in awhile you have a need and the fabric department at big box craft type stores just dont have a great variety. Jo-Ann has a great selection! I much prefer the location on Laskin Road in Virginia Beach but Im about 20 minutes closer to the Chesapeake store. The location is really what hurts this store. The shopping center is sketchy and run down. A move of about 2 miles up the road on Greenbrier parkway would make this store so much nicer to visit.

People complained about it being in a sketchy spot but it really is not bad. Theres a night club and buffet and a couple other places but nothing to be afraid of lol. I do think it needs a bigger store and have heard it may be moving further down greenbrier. That is only because the store is filled and cramped and seem to be out of things a lot. Only fabric store around in Chesapeake now though.

The staff that works there are idiots and rude. They need to learn how to add, what sales they have going on and what their coupon really covers. Their customer service is by far the worst at this store. There is one young girl that works there that is super nice and helpful but do not expect that from the others. Dont waste your time here. Buy your fabric online or go elsewhere.

Allowing customers to be skipped in line without acknowledging them is never ok. It only takes a moment, and no sales will be lost. Ive worked in customer service for over 10 years, I strongly suggest they re-train certain employees to understand the finer points of common courtesy. There are enough craft stores in the area with better pricing than this one.

This store has some of the most amazing items, especially the jewelry aisle. The prices are reasonable and affordable. One thing thats not cool is the candy bars are overpriced and some are very stale. The cashiers and other staff are very helpful and friendly. I love the sales now and then. Ms. Debra Hilliard

They have just about everything. very knowledgeable of the fabric, good for when your not sure what will mesh well together. It gets really bizy at times, and makes it really hard to conifer around the right isles. U practically have to roll out of an isle to let someone through. Lol definitely need more space.

Run-down looking, terrible parking lot, not the greatest selection if you are looking for anything other than gingham or fleece. Sadly the only fabric store left in Chesapeake. I have turned to ordering my fabrics online instead of going here..

They offer a pretty good selection of quilting cotton at reasonable prices. They have wonderful sales every so often so be sure to sign up for their email. I like most of the staff. Very knowledgeable and helpful.

The selection of fabrics is decent, if chaotic. The service is good. The team often goes out of their way to provide assistance and answer questions. Much better than the Jo-Anns in Virginia Beach.
