I purchased a washer and dryer from your Charlottesville, VA location. I was in a pinch and was told it was a popular model and the salesman assured me that it would be readily available. I waited and a week later called and was told the set was on national back order. This was after I HAD TO CALL. No one called me to let me know this. So I said ok and was told it would be here the following Tuesday, so Tuesday again I get no call. So I call AGAIN, now the set would be another week. I talked to the Manager Stacey who told me I could choose a more expensive set (at my cost but hed knock a mere 10% off) and take it home that day but I cant afford anything more expensive. I call Connie in the corporate office and she seems helpful and assures me this will be handled hastily and she will call me back by business end, guess what? NO CALL again. So I call back this morning and connie states she talked to stacey the manager I had spoken to and she said he handled it as he was supposed to? Really? Not keeping your customers informed of a product they are purchasing, not calling? That is what he is supposed to do? She then says he offered you another set. I said yes he did but at my COST. I would have had to pay the difference but Im sure he failed to mention that bit of info. So I asked Connie was there any way a supervisor could call me. She said supervisors dont normally call their customers. Really? Thats great customer service. I have worked with schewels in the past and after closing my account in good standing and previous issues I said I would try again and this happens. I am sad as this was a gift for my mom and the one person I thought would be able to help me a store manager (Stacey) failed me so as a last resort I went to corporate (Connie) and again I am failed. Connie told me I could cancel my order (again I am shocked because in the customer service business I strive to keep customers not let money walk out the door) so that is what I plan to do. Thank you again Schewels if this is the customer service you provide I am glad I will no longer be your customer.

I purchased a dining room/kitchen table here recently. Jackie was my salesperson and I loved her! She treated me like an old friend from the beginning and was very kind, funny and helpful. The woman I worked with at the payment desk was very sweet and pleasant as well. They scheduled my delivery six days from when I was there. I was told they would call me the morning of delivery to let me know what number I was in line for delivery that day. They did just that. I told the gentleman that I would be out for 30 minutes during the afternoon to get my kids from school and he said he would pass that along to the delivery guys. They actually were ready to deliver my items right when I was gone, but diverted and waited for me to get home. The delivery guys were very pleasant and efficient. I love my table. I have had such negative experiences recently with customer service and this was such a nice treat. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much to everyone at Schewels. :)

I would not recommend doing business here. My sectional was delivered with a section missing, and with a cut in the fabric of the arm. The store was not all that cooperative about replacing the piece, but did (after 3 phonecalls) agree to do so. The second delivery arrived and the replacement piece also had the fabric cut on the arm (I believe it may have been the box cutter the delivery people cut the plastic off with). I watched them break the glass out of someone elses coffee table that was on the truck while they were unloading my furniture. After taking half the day off work and getting still another damaged item, I asked them to take all the furniture back and refund my money. When removing the furniture from my house, they did not take the legs off the couch and damaged my door trying to force the too wide couch through the doorway. I will never set foot in that store again, and I recommend that you do not either unless you are really dying for some aggravation.

Absolutely horrible experience!! I was misled and flat out lied to from the minute I walked in, from the salesman all the way to the credit purchase. No one cared that I was a person they just wanted my money, and said whatever they needed too to get it. I almost canceled my order several times while waiting almost a month to get it, and had it not been for the delivery drivers I would have canceled the day it finally got here. They seemed to be the only compassionate humans working for the company. At that point the couch was already in my house, they had my money, and put the hard hit on my credit and i still wish i would of told them to shove it! After this they will never get another cent from me or my family.

Most people will take the time to complain, but few will take the time to compliment when it is truly deserved. I promised Schewels Furniture that if everything went as expected and promised, I would write a positive review. So here I am writing and telling you my personal experience. From the sales person on the floor, to the person that processes your order at the desk, to the people that handle questions and concerns over the phone, to the manager that makes a final decision, and to the drivers that deliver your products, all of them did an outstanding job. So thank you Schewels Furniture for doing what you promised and for making my shopping experience with you a great one.

This the biggest scam ever false advertising on this a waste of time telling people second chance not checking your credit they pull your credit report and then tell you based on your credit you have to pay half down I WILL BE TURNING THEM INTO BBB!! I cant prove it right now but will have them investigated for discrimination!

Terry helped us find the right mattress for us quickly, in about three tries. None of this lying down on every mattress in the showroom! He was informative but not pushy, helpful but not hovering. The checkout process was quick & efficient. They had our mattress in stock & we were able to take it home that day.

I went to look at recliners only to find out they had the spread throughout the floors. This is no help, I like them together so you can compare, not walking all over hunting for recliners.
