Please, for the love of God, DO NOT COME here, unless you have a lot of cash to spare and want to waste it on a dishonest car dealership. This place is the perhaps the biggest rip-off ever and has the absolute worst service. My boyfriend had to come here twice and both times we felt like weve been cheated and bullied. The first time, he needed to get something in the ignition fixed. This service was supposedly covered by the warrantee he had, so he wouldnt have to pay much if he got it serviced at the Mercedes-Benz dealership. To our surprise and dismay, the staff members at Mercedes-Benz of Charlottesville refused to fix the ignition problem. They told us the car had multiple VIN numbers and implied that it was stolen (what a ridiculous lie and excuse for not serving the warrantee!). They left the car outside for three weeks before even notifying us! When my boyfriend confronted them, the staff got really defensive and even hostile. We swore to never go back again, but we got unlucky of course. The second time we came here, we needed to run a diagnostic to see whats wrong with the airbag light. We were told by the staff that we needed to change the pressure sensor in the passenger seat, which would cost us around $1100. My boyfriend called around for other mechanics and it turns out some of the local Charlottesville one will do the exact same job for $650. Good thing we looked elsewhere, because Mercedes-Benz of Charlottesville will definitely charge you a much much higher price. Whats even more ridiculous though is that we asked the other car service place to run a diagnostic on the airbag lights and it turns out there was nothing wrong with the passenger pressure sensor. Thanks for lying to us, Mercedes-Benz of Charlottesville! That, or you guys are just really incompetent. Seriously, dont ever come here if you can help it. You might be swindled into paying a ton of $$ for something you dont even need! Not even worth the 1 star! There are tons of honest mechanics around Charlottesville. Go to them, instead.

We just moved my daughter from Nebraska to Virginia for college and I wanted to make sure she was in good shape with her vehicle before we left . We went into Mercedes and talk to Megan the service advisor and she got us right in the same day and looked over the whole vehicle and came back with several different critical issues that needed to be addressed. Two very important ones were that the outside of the tires looked new but the inside had cords showing on the tires and the brake line was leaking . Being a mechanic in my younger days I verified everything they said along with several different items and Found that they were all true. I plan on getting the vehicle repaired there for honesty is very important and Mercedes always gives top quality work. To top it off when we got the car back they washed it after driving 1600 miles across the country shined the Rims and vacuumed it!! Good job Megan ...we look forward to having our vehicle serviced and Maintenanced at your location !! I would highly recommend this Mercedes dealership for your needs !

Pretty much found out that the service I scheduled online I reserved a loaner vehicle and it does not show up on their end that I had requested a loaner. Well not a big deal I just called them to confirm my service for tomorrow and they said they will get me a loaner. Well Im also going out of town for the weekend and the maintenance will take most of the day and I am leaving in the afternoon and would not be able to pick up the car till 4 days later. They then told me that I cant take the loaner out of town. This is the first time I have ever heard of this from a Mercedes dealership. Looks like I will be taking my car back to my original dealership (Tysinger) where I bought my Mercedes. This is my first time dealing with this dealership since I just moved to the area a few months ago. I can say that tomorrow will most likely be my last time dealing with them. Edit 07/02/16 After having my service done the service department isnt as bad as my online and over the phone experience.

AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I have had work done on my SL500 twice at this dealer. On the positive side, they provide an excellent wax and detail service for a very reasonable price. However, the folks in the Service Department apparently are not there to fix cars, they just want your money. My car has been incorrectly diagnosed, they actually broke two perfectly fine key fobs and apparently lost one of my power seat buttons, they charged three times the going rate for a part, and they charged over $300/hour to do a 20 minute job. They do not follow customer instructions. I have to conclude that this dealership is only after your money, they have apparently have no intention of providing any kind of positive service experience. Dont go there if your car needs work!!! I too think that MB should de-certify Brown MB service department, they give the Mercedes brand a terrible reputation!

Just the facts- the old addage about not going to the dealer for parts or service is especially true for Brown Saab. OK- I get it, Saab is kind of in limbo status these days, but Im assuming if you call yourself a Saab dealer then you ought to stock some parts. I stopped in recently and they didnt even have license plate screws- they handed me an assortment of screws and said- "see if any of these fit".... later I went to them to purchase an extra key- their response: "key is $125 and theres a 3-month back-order wait". Guess what- I went to the local Saab repair guy- "International Imports" and they not only had all the screws I needed but they had brand new Saab OE keys for only $46. Its almost like they dont want your business at Brown Saab.

I needed to go to this dealership to have a key made. They asked for my email. I was very specific about asking that they not send junk mail. They were very specific in promising they would not. Now after receiving countless junk mails from Brown Automotive group over the last year and a half, and after trying unsuccessfully to find someone at the dealer and/or the dealer network to remove my name from their list, Ive decided to list my complaint. To me, this is a trust issue, and I would not trust this group with my car. And I happen to find it offensive when someone breaks my trust and sends me endless promotional crap. Whoever Jamie Morton is, I wish you would stop sending me emails!

I bought my Mercedes in February, and the experience was great. Bill Lyttle was fantastic and patient, answering all of my questions. My 16 year-old was in a small accident in my new car only a month later. Browns Collision Service was wonderful, and Bill even came to pick me up and take me to work after I dropped off my car for repairs. Just last week I smelled something burning in the exhaust and Megan was so helpful. She took my car without an appointment and had my car back to me just a few hours later. There was no issue - but Browns did an entire review of my car. Wonderful people - great service!
