I am writing in response to a review posted on March 27th, 2015. I would like to address some of the inaccurate facts stated in the review. My name is Chad Wilcher and I am the new Owner of Glass Doctor Charlottesville. We took ownership as of September 2014. I do understand your frustration. However, it is very unrealistic to expect that mirrors located in a public gym should be warranty after almost two years. Not eight months as stated in the review. We service many gyms throughout central Virginia successfully and a mirror in such environments are rarely warranty due to the nature of the environment in a gym. Next I would like to address the fact that we just sent a quote on 3/26/15 to replace the broken mirror at a discounted price (to find common ground and to be empathetic to your situation) so I do not understand how this review was done on 3/27/15. I do understand the frustration of a change in ownership however, I do not see a need to wrongfully accuse and make false accusations in regards to how we conduct business as we pride ourselves in being a company that meets in the middle and focuses on 100% customer retention. I am sorry that you may have had frustrations in the past with the previous ownership and that is why we are so diligently working to correct all customer concerns. I would be more than happy to have taken your call or meet you in person about your concerns if we were given the chance. Every quote/work order and invoice has a direct message from myself to contact me with any concerns both negative and positive. I in no way was made aware until the review was posted that you were so unhappy with the service you had received. I hope that all reading this review can see that we pride Glass Doctor Charlottesville on happy customers and are very active in making sure that reputation continues to be positive. I will be reaching out to you personally by phone in hopes of growing a positive business relationship moving forward.

Worst service company I have ever dealt with. Sometimes you get companys that have good customer service. Sometimes you get companys that have good craftsmanship. A great company has both. This company has neither. From the installers to management, their service is poor at best. Everyone makes mistakes. Its what you do to correct those mistakes when they happen that counts. They could have taken care of this by simply doing the right thing, but every chance they had they to do so they chose not to. If they gave my money back and offered to replace every windshield in my fleet for free, I still wouldnt use or recommend them! They are not local. They arent even located in Charlottesville, so before they even begin work for you they are telling you a lie. 1. Botched the replacement of the windshield on a brand new truck. 2. Acted like I was wrong for calling them to make a quality repair. 3. Made me wait for a return visit even though water was pouring down the INSIDE of a truck i.e. dash board, back up camera and stereo. 4. Tried to use a cheap patch job on their brand new window they replaced in my brand new truck. 5. Set an appointment to replace their windshield AGAIN after their shoddy repair didnt work and Rescheduled that appointment twice. 6. Promised to bring documentation stating they were fully responsible for any damage to any electrical components and two weeks later I have received NOTHING. Every time I call I get one lie after another about why I havent received it.

So far I have received no service. Let me explain. Last Friday (Oct. 27, 2011) I contacted Glass Doctor and spoke with a very nice lady. I asked her about doing a restoration on my headlamp lens. She told me the person who would be doing the restoration was awaiting supplies. The supplies were to arrive on either Monday or Tuesday (Oct 31st-Nov 1st). When the supplies arrived, I would be called by the person doing the restoration to set up and appointment. Well, its Thursday (Nov 3rd) and Ive received no call. What ticks me off more then anything is the person who was suppose to call. I cant blame the lady at the office, I blame the person who was suppose to call. Needless to say, I will find someone else to restore my headlamp lens.. DP

Glass Doctor was previously owned by another Franchisee and I provided a poor review for that previous owners work. However, the new owner/ Franchisee has taken over Glass Doctor of Charlottesville and has outshined the previous owner with personal service and great work. I appreciate there willingness to work with us on the installment of new mirrors. Thank you Glass Doctor for working through a difficult situation!
