We ordered carpet with 72 hour installation on the 15th of February for the nursery. First we were told that the carpet (that was in stock) would not be available until March 5th. My husband called and spoke with someone at the store who said that they would call to set up an installation time (this was on the 19th) - There was no phone call so I called the store and spoke with the manager on Friday who did call me back and told me there was a mistake made with the 72 hour ordering and it would be installed by Wednesday and she would call Monday. We spoke briefly of some sort of discount since this was well OVER the 72 hour installed agreement that we wanted when we had an estimate. Since we didnt hear anything early Monday my husband called and we were told that they would be there no later than 10 am on Wednesday the 25th per the contractors that were hired through Home Depot. We were told from Home Depot that the discount or gift card or whatever would be discussed after the installation. The contractors showed up before 8am and were very professional. Probably because they didnt work for Home Depot because we still have not received one phone call from the Manager of the Lakeridge Ave store in Ashland VA to see if we were satisfied with the installation of the carpet. This was just a brief explanation of what happened - but there were more than a few numerous phone calls made to Home Depot as well as the installers that were putting in the carpet.

I am never greeted at this location... I have been living in the area for 5+ years and frequent this HD location. Im not sure if the employees find Asians intimidating or think we all are English-literate or what... I have no idea but I am NEVER greeted at this location. Only twice, since the 30Th or so times that Ive shopped here, have I been asked if I needed help. Today, a scruffy gentleman acting like were his "bros" with no manner of customer service "assisted" is with a grill. He put his disgusting steel toe work boots all over the grill, pulled on it instead of picking it up and rolling it out on its wheels... I had to walk away and its put an even more negative impact on my feelings on this location. The grill is being returned and I hope their is a training opportunity in the near future...

I went to the Home Depot on Lakeridge Pkwy, Ashland va.. to buy some window blinds and to have them cut to size. Assistant told me to wait because the guy that cuts blinds was tied up. Kept waiting and asking if someone else in the store could cut blinds and they said no you will just have to wait. After 35 minutes we grew tired of waiting and drove to the Mechanicsville store that was 30 min. away. People were super nice and had our blinds cut in 10 minutes. What a refreshing difference and the people there were so very nice. Also bought a $1,000 refrigerator. Advise. Dont go to Ashland store unless you want to wait all day with people who dont seem to care about getting you served.

The customer service is terrible in the garden department, I bought the Suv and trailer to get the 40 bags of dirt I need to build the garden beds my aging father wants to play in. I was told to pull up at the drive through location, when I got there the gates were locked. Finally after calling the store someone came out, with no keys to unlock the gate and asked if I could backup in a very narrow space, I tried yet didnt want to run into cars stopped. After 10 more minutes they finally brought my dirt out on a hand cart. Shortly after they finally opened the gate, a little too late.

My up-most respect for this store, and Bryon, the store manger. As a teacher in Hanover County, I reached out to this store for support with my classroom renovation. Without hesitation, this store was more than willing to assist us with our project, and go the extra mile to ensure our students were receiving quality materials. Everyone in the store was polite, helpful, and willing to take the extra minute to share a smile. These acts of kindness will not be forgotten. Words cant express our gratitude and thankfulness we have for this company. Thank you!

Nice size store. Easy to find what I want. Am amazed by reviewers that state "I am never greeted at this store"... who cares? You need a greeter when you go to a big box store like HD, Target, WalMart, and such? Odd... but I guess this next generation needs coddling or it hurts their little special snowflake feelings. Good prices. Friendly people. Easy to access location.

Only ONE thing can make me love this Home Depot more. That one thing is the rare experience of having to go to a Lowes store. Ashland HD is fabulous. The employees are absolutely outstanding and truly have a customer service orientation.

Ive always liked this particular Home Depot. All the people Ive interacted with are super friendly and knowledgeable. Great place for contractors and DYI project engineers. Many helpful folks work there.
