If I could write a 0 star review, I would. Went to order cabinets for my kitchen, they would not accept a check, they would not take a credit card, finally when we decided to run it as a debt card it worked. We gave them exact measurements, and the cabinets did not fit! I had to hire an outside contractor to fix the cabinets, and even go buy more to add to make them fit! Now I am waiting for Granite countertops, and the person who was supposed to be here hours ago is not able to come and they are not able to send someone else out! These are few of the many problems I have had with them since I have tried taking on this project! I would not recommend you starting a job with Home Depot in Shallotte by ANY means!!!!

The wait time for help is ridiculous!! The employees are certainly nice. But is not always informative as to where an item is. Lots of employees in the store. Saw 3 different People while I was loading 4x6 post on the cart. They saw me but kept walking. Not that I asked for help but.. they didnt offer to help either. Bought and paid for 4 chairs that were lock up outside, Employee said I will be right back....WHEN? Never saw her again so another very helpful person came along to assist... well he couldnt, the lady that was going to be right back had the key. 20 to 30 minutes to get 4 chairs after they were paid for. Like Home Depot a lot. But its really frustrating at times.

Horrid service by the old people that work there. Seems like the new hires will do their best to help even if they have no clue. They cant help that. The ones that have been there a while seem to hide from the customers as if they have the black plague. I will not go back. Overall I liked home depot better than lowes until now. Went to check out and I needed assistance and the old lady running 4 registers avoided us and never got to buy anything. So we walked out and left a cart full of stuff that they will have to put back.

I tried to purchase a dishwasher and an electric range. the buying process was excellent, unfortunately the delivery process is a nightmare. Then it took 24 hours to get a salesperson who could cancel the order, now they are telling me it will take 10 days to credit my credit card!! Update! To top it off I just got a call that my cancellation had just been taken care of. It took 5 phone calls and over 24 hours from the time I made the first call until Home Depot actually canceled my order.

This Home Depot has mostly self check outs and expects you to check yourself out even if you have a cart full, over $200 of merchandise. Im sorry I work all week and I go to Home Depot to buy supplies for projects that require more work the last thing I think I should have to do is an employees job while Im there. They were literally 3 employees in a group in the middle of the SCO section, none willing to take our money.
