This is one of the worst grocery stores that I have ever been to. I mostly frequent Harris Teeter but since this store is literally in walking distance it can be more convenient. The produce is constatnly rotten and old. They have a terrible selection of lunch meat and almost always have only two cashiers on hand. Its dirty and gross. Why is that you can travel one mile to Harris Teeter and everything seems fresh? The vegetables are disgusting. This store needs an overhaul. Epic Fail

What can I say, its a Safeway. The lines arent usually long, theres ample parking, and they carry a pretty decent selection of organic stuff. The produce is a little well, hit or miss. The prices compare favorably to Giant or MoMs or Whole Food$. Get the Safeway card, it will save you a lot of money in the long run.

I used to shop at the Giant off of Washington/Monroe, but they tend to close early (at like 10pm). Ive been to the Safeway a few times in the past few weeks and it has been awesome! There is a much larger selection than the Giant and it has been far less crowded. The cashiers Ive had have been extremely fast too!

Friendly staff gives this conveniently located grocery store a hometown feel. Best grocery shopping in the area! It would be nice if there was a salad bar. Last but not least, this store has a wonderful floral department with a great selection and reasonable prices

Im weary of lack of full-service cashiers. I resent being manipulated to cave in and use self-service checkout which is still very clumsy for all but small numbers of items. This store is among the worst. I shop there less and less.

A good local grocery store, decent organic selection, good beer and prices, and plenty of parking. I can walk here from the house so that makes it very convenient. I like the self serve checkout. Friendly, helpful staff.

I always buy the flowers they last for weeks. Sure they dont have everything all the time but I would venture to say that many dont. The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly.
