I purchased an OR Astroman short sleeve shirt at EMS a few weeks ago. I wore it twice. On the second occasion I wore it fishing using a waist belt with a smooth webbing shoulder harness. When I returned home I noticed that the webbing had chafed the shirt and caused pilling on the front and back. This shirt was $85. That is a lot of money for 1 shirt. But, its a nice shirt so I forked over the money. When I explained my problem to the EMS associate he said they used to handle situations like this with a no questions asked exchange. Now, they contact the manufacturer on the customers behalf and go through a replacement process. I can do that myself and have started the process. Maybe my expectations are off track here but if I wear an $85 shirt twice and it gets ruined I expect it to be replaced by EMS.

Staff has been super helpful. Bought 2 kayaks there recently and was helped by so many folks! Just today I went backpack shopping for a hiking backpack and Rob stayed late to talk me through a lot. Really appreciated, especially since I didnt buy today (but I will next week!). A few years ago they set me up with ski attire when I learned how to ski - I love skiing now and a good part of that is because I never get cold in my EMS gear! Highly recommended.

05/19/2012 I stopped in today to look at kayaks and had a very informative (previous kayak instructer) help me out named Brian. He did an excellent job and I plan on coming in on the 9th to look around more. I am going to transfer my business from Columbia sports to EMS for sure if this is the type of customer service I can expect from you. Talked for atleast half an hour and knew all the ins and outs! Great job!

We spent about 2-3 hours there getting GREAT HELP from Eric, the manager. He was amazing, patient, helpful and knowledgeable. We had him tied up helping us w hiking boots for a long time and he was just terrific
