Sent by Vermont Orthopedic with a prescription for a boot for my leg. On crutches, navigating a very icy entryway. Inside I make my way to the back of the store that says "prescriptions" only to be told, they handle that at the front of the store. Hand my script over and they ask for insurance and i explain it is work mans comp only to be told they dont handle that. When asked why and I quote, "Its too much of a pain in the ass to get the money". Wonderful. So Im not too injured to drive from Rutland all the way back to Manchester to get the money for the boot but what if I was? I dont have personal insurance, so what if I didnt have the $150 in my wallet to pay for it? Besides, the lady fitting for the boot was a hot mess, not only did she try and get me into something that was obviously too big but kept sticking the Velcro to the carpet! I have lost all faith!

They left me for 5 days without medication that I needed or I would be sick! When I called the Pharmacist, the third time, He told me "Its not my problem! Stop calling me!!" After this I canceled all prescriptions that I had here and I went to Rite Aid. These people were much more pleasant and easy to deal with. They filled my script in 15 minutes! The following week, when I went in to pick up my wifes refill, our insurance company told me that it had already been filled some place else. Rutland Pharmacy actually billed my insurance for a prescription that we never picked up! When we called them on it the reversed the charges, but seriously, how many other people have been taken advantage of by this place? Dispicable!

This pharmacy has a very nice staff and the owner pharmacist "Smilin Steve" is often on hand to answer questions. This is one of the few compounding pharmacies around and their pharmacists are top notch. The store is like a quaint old time pharmacy. ..They have a great selection of natural and homeopathic remedies as well home medical supplies. There is also a nice variety of cards, Vermont gifts as well as small toys for sick children who are waiting for their prescriptions to be filled. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is the wait time.

Went there to fill a prescription for My mother inlaw because Rite Aid did not have it on stock and they did. The staff is so rude. They treat you like they are doing you a favor. Ill stick with going to Rite Aid. At least the staff there is nice. I wouldnt go into that pharmacy again if you paid me.
