Overall, I like the bulk deals and products you get at Costco and the staff I found to be fairly freindly, that in itself would constitute a 4-5 star rating. But here is where my 2 star rating goes. The building is outdated and WAY, WAY, WAY TOO SMALL for the constantly growing greater Burlington area. This causes a major safety concern with the jam packed shoulder to shoulder isles and the half a building long check out lines. The parking area is a total joke! Some days you have to spend 10 minutes driving around looking like a total idiot just to find a spot to park in. Ive seen numerous people park on the side of Hercules Dr. all the way up beyond the other side of Spare Time because theres no parking left available in the lots. Plain and simple, Costco needs a new much, much bigger location or a 2nd VT location! Maybe in the Barre/Montpelier area or up near St. Albans. And lets talk about the hours that they are open (or should I say NOT open). Costco, for what business theyre in, has the most stupid, unheard of, unaccommodating store hours that I have ever seen in my entire life. The executive membership is supposed to get you in the door like maybe 30 minutes before anyone else. Ok, whats the point? But you still cant get in there on weekdays till 10am! Now, I understand that they have a lot of big stuff on pallets that needs to be moved around by fork lifts and they may feel that theres a safty concern, however, Lowes and Home Depot do the same thing, with no safety issues, WHILE THEY ARE STILL OPEN! And they open at 6am! What in the heck is Costcos problem!? Its very sad that all of us have to deal with a miserable and stressful shopping experience because Costco is not on the same planet as the rest of us. Maybe BJs will open up a location near here to compete with them soon.

Every time I go I hate the place a little bit more...But since theres no BJs or Sams club to compete with them, they have no reason to improve. The parking lot is too small for busy times, which is always because their hours suck. 930/10am openings, completely useless for businesses or for people that want to get their shopping done and be home before noon on the weekends. The aisles are always clogged with testers for items I never see anyone buy. They constantly have 4-6 checkout lanes blocked off (even though you can see 6-10 employees standing around) and NO express or self checkout lanes! Their options are grossly limited making it necessary to use a grocery store. They move items inexplicably, Bacon bits have been moved 5 times in 7, maybe 8 weeks. And theyre closed for pointless holidays like new years day! People have real jobs and have to go to work on Monday and now they have to cram a trip to the 7th level hell after work! They claim that their hours, holidays, make for happier, more productive, more engaging/better serving employees...Ha! Theyre nice enough at check out, but good luck finding one for assistance on the floor! I bring in many reusable bags and they rarely use them..Well, recently they did fill my insulated bag and broke the zipper trying to slightly close the bag, which I didnt realize until I got home...Thanks for that! If BJs opened up within a 1 hour drive of here Id drop Costco in a heartbeat!

Not only do they have excellent products at excellent prices - the people here are very tenured and it shows. They have upbeat attitudes and smiles every single time Ive seen them. My only complaint is trying to exchange things is "impossible" - you have to return it and re-purchase it. You cant swap the defective speaker from your home theater - they want the whole system back in the store. While this may work to the customers advantage (prices go down over time so you may "exchange" it at a lower price), it also makes some exchanges a hassle. I visit weekly and spend about between $75-$100k a year there - Ive saved thousands, especially with the Executive Membership and AMEX cards and their rebates.

Recently purchased multiple hundreds of dollars of good at this location (including a super heavy sofa.) The staff was very helpful loading the sofa into our vehicle (even after I ran over the poor door attendants foot, (for which I am still very sorry about.) Each time we had a very nice cashier who was very polite and courteous and we had been in so many times he even commented "see you tomorrow." :) (and it doesn t hurt that he looks like a super model, lol.) Great experience every time shopping at this Costco and will continue to do so for a long while (or at least until that cashier leaves, haha!)

Costco local management has been very negligent with their customers. Normally Saturday there is many people shopping at costco. The billing lines are very long and the customers face difficulty in moving around the goods. The goods.placement in the store is very conjusted. One Saturday when the billing lines were very long with people standing in long queue while other shoppers were finding it difficult to reach what they need, I asked one of the managers, the answer was he could do nothing about it.

We absolutely LOVE Costco. They have great products and their prices are much lower than regular grocery stores. If you have any problem with something, theyll take it back. Besides electronics, there is no limit to how old something can be to return it. Its awesome. I do wish this Costco had gas pumps though. We would do all our shopping there if we could, but we are 45 minutes away so its not feasible. When Im older and moved out, a requirement of mine is to live near a Costco.

Parking is usually crazy. Some great deals. Watch produce as it often only lasts a few days after buying it. Eggs, baguettes, milk, cheeses, and spices are key reasons I shop there. I just wanted to comment on a review about people at the food demo carts not helping find products. These people are no Costco employees they are hired by CDS. They dont get paid the same and they are only allowed to help find the product they are marketing.

Why does Costco not offer "early" entry for business cutomers like Sams Club and why is it that no matter what time your in the store you always have to wait in line, as a business person I find this very frustrating so I end up having to drive to NY Sams club "early" 6am to be able to shop and be back in time to open for business, should it not be for the conveinance of the cutomer not Costco. They need competition in Vermont.

Although this store is a somewhat dimished version of Costcos I have visited in other states. It meets most of my shopping needs. We do appreciate the additon of the new Deli cases. We have also found the staff to be friendly & helpfull! Thanks Costco Note: We would like to see the addition of a Gas station, but not sure where they would put it, and concerned about how the traffic flow might be impacted.

Great store with superb values plus polite and responsive employees. Big exception is tire center where they dont seem to answer their phone. You dont even get an answering machine just a recording: "The person you have called is unavailable." Ive been trying to get through for a couple of days now. Finally got someone in another department to carry a note to the tire center.
