I just moved into the area and needed to stock up my fridge so I came to this Wal-Mart on 6/2/14 at around 1pm. Corporate or at least the big wigs were all over the place. Associates were prompt to smile, ask if I needed help etc... On 6/4/14 I returned around 8pm. The store was busy and disorganized. Upon check out time my Girl friend and I found only 3 regular registers open and 5 speedy checkouts. ALL were packed and backing up into the clothing areas. People were even taking their FULL carts, not small items, to the jewelry department. Other Customers started to muter that someone should call the store and ask if more help could come to help checkout. One customer caught a dazed supervisor arrive on the scene and when questioned she only responded that she had no idea what was going on. She walked to the customer service area, stood, looked around, and then promptly disappeared. I decided to call the store and ask to speak to the manager. Surely someone must not be monitoring the checkout stands. When I asked to speak to the Manager or Assistant manager I was asked if I was an associate before they transferred me. The assistant manager answered and I explained what was happening and asked if another person could be brought on to help as I had been waiting 10mintues in line. The man responded that he was trying to figure it out, and there were no other cashiers. To this I asked if he knew how to cashier and he responded he did. As you will guess, I asked for him to come help, but he declined. I said it was “understandable” and as I started to respond that he would not help out, he promptly hung up on me. Was this where it ended? NO! I couldn’t believe he just abruptly hung up on me. I tried to rationalize it as if maybe the call had ended appropriately, but no, it was just a slap in the face. I left my cart with my girlfriend and went to the customer service desk. The woman there knew who the manager was as she pointed to his picture on the wall, but had no idea who was managing the store at that point in time. I asked for her to call him down immediately but she continued with her work. I found a customer service manager and explained the situation, but she could only guess who the assistant manager was there. I asked for his last name but all she could come up with was the letter “B” and that they normally just go by first names. She did not try to resolve the situation but gave me the info to file a complaint against the store/assistant manager, and then told me to have a good day…. Wal-Mart’s customer service complaint department is closed right now, but they will here from me. I left my entire cart at the customer service desk, and informed the customer service manager that she should tend to the cart as it had cold items. My girl friend and I promptly walked out. I cannot believe at the lack of customer service at this location, the assistant managers treatment of me, and the lack of trying to resolve my issue by the customer service manager. At this point I know that Smith’s grocery is closer to my new home, and I will find a Target Supercenter for my future needs. Enjoy

If it was possible to give zero star you bet your Bottom Dollar I would give it! I trier refill a prescription refill and could not get through to the pharmacy so I dialed the main line the lady who answered the refused to transfer me to the pharmacy or even check if the line was available I let her know that the line just kept coming back busy I asked her if she could transfer me to the pharmacy automated line she refused and continue to tell me I needed to call the pharmacy line which I knew was untrue because I have called the main line before and got transferred to the pharmacy she hung up on me! I called back and asked for her name because she was being so rude she refused to give it to me. hung up on me again! I called back three separate times asked for her name she continue to hang up on me! On the forth attempt i spoke to a manager named Brian he also refused to give me her name I told him I was going to speak to upper management and he didnt care... in the least and also refused to give me the employees name l this is ridiculous customer service I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on I am tired of the way that Walmart capitalizes on the public I let him know we will no longer be customers of this Wal-Mart or any other as long as I can help it! He stated that is fine with him. Hope it is ok with corporate as well! So happy to not be in an area to crumble to Wal-Mart after how we have been treated no longer close to a local Walmart they have lost my business as far as Im concerned their management and employees are disgusting they dont care about customer service all they care about is money and the "price cut"and when that comes to China thats totally possible look at your local Walmart and see how many things are made in the USA less than 2% I bet. check it out for yourself try to get some customer service through Walmart especially the West Valley location at 3180 South and 5600 West in West Valley Utah you will find it deplorable thank you Brian for making me no longer a customer of yours sincerely -Tiffany

This Walmart does not train its cashiers very well and has very poor customer service within its management ranks. Every time my mother asks them to give her cash back on a check she writes, they make a mistake and run it for the wrong amount. Then we end up having to wait in line at customer service for a half hour to an hour to have the error corrected and they act like it should be no big deal. It happened again today. So the shift manager, Michelle, comes over and says that she can have it fixed at customer service. And then my mother said that she will no longer shop at the store and Michelle said, "Thats fine. Just dont shop here anymore." Absolutely unacceptable. I got between them because it became a shouting match and Michelle was just as rude and unprofessional to me. So I asked for a store manager and she said, "I AM the store manager." And I said, "No, you are a shift manager. I want a real manager." And she said, "Well Im the acting store manager so Im what you get." First of all, I dont believe that. Second of all, if this is the person that is there to solve problems for customers and shes "FINE" with people not wanting to shop where cashiers are constantly creating problems and running checks incorrectly, then she should not be a manager. This Walmart has also caused me a great deal of grief going through checkouts as well. Multiple times I have had to tell the cashiers what a certain vegetable is. Once I needed rock salt and the cashier refused to sell it to me because as she said, "I cant sell that to you because I dont know what that is." It is very unprofessional of this store to continue to allow cashiers to work without proper training. If a cashier is new then a manager or more seasoned cashier should have to stay by their side, especially during the holiday season. This was totally inappropriate and I personally think that perhaps Michelle needs a couple more years on the floor as a regular cashier before she should be allowed to continue as a manager.
