I came into this store after finishing class at the U since it is right across the street from the TRAX station. I have my four-year-old daughter with me and my backpack since Im traveling with a young child and just came from class. Someone asked me if they could help me at which point I advised them I was looking for plants for my bettas tank. She did not seem to know much about bettas because she insisted that they dont like coverage yet all of the research Ive done has indicated otherwise. After her fake attempt at customer service she informed me that I needed to leave my backpack at the front desk. Being a thirty-two-year-old woman and a mother I found this extremely discriminatory since there was no sign at the front advising of this and had I came in with a purse of similar size or a stroller this would not have been an issue. It is quite offensive to insinuate that someone would steal from you. While I know that that is the nature of retail inventory control I also think that you should respect your customers and give them the benefit of the doubt particularly when they are grown adults not mischievous adolescents. Initially I just left the store since such confrontations are draining but on second thought decided to turn around because its extremely rude to assume someones stealing from your store without any evidence. I went back in the store and I have to ask if it was a policy; she said it was. I told her she doesnt have any signs hanging up that indicate that policy she told me that I could keep my backpack with me if she didnt mind letting her go through it when I came to the register. Shame on you Petco for letting your ignorant managers apply their stereotypical ignorance on your customer base. Not much of a hindrance for me since I prefer shopping at PetSmart where they are friendlier and cheaper.

We had issues with the weekend dog trainer and the lack of communication, however Nikki, the Store Manager took care of things immediately. The weekend dog trainer is rude, unprofessional and I am sure there are plenty of things she hates about her job, like the customers she has to work with. Cause she treated my sisters like crap! We didnt return to continue training, however we will continue to shop here. Knowing that management is that efficient and customer service oriented, shows us that PetCo is a great place to shop! Thank you, Nikki, for everything. You are a great Manager and I hope PetCo sees your potential and the capitalize off of and you continue to move in the company. I am an Executive Headhunter and will keep you in mind if anything pops up in Management. I would definitely want you on my side!

So me and my wife like going to all the petco places to check out cats and reptiles and usually they dont have many but thats not the problem the problem is their employment. U walk in to this petco then watch out for the dog trainer she was really rude. Me and my wife were looking at the cats and i guess she didnt care about us because she actually kicked us out of that area! I mean come on i think they have a problem getting ride out animals as it is but to tell us that she is busy with a dog class by the cats? Does tha5 make any sense they should have a seprate room for dog classes i mean really what if i was going to buy a cat and she told me to leave i guess telling a dog to sit is more important then making money to her. So yea not to impressed with how rude she was at all never going there again.

We live out of town and made an appointment to have our standard poodle groomed. We dropped her off about a half hour before our appointment and asked how long it would take because we had play tickets for later that night. The guy told us 3-4 hours. When we called 4 hours after dropping her off they still were not done. When I asked how long till she was done they said she was still drying and that they couldnt have her done before our play an hour later. So I said we would just have to pick her up and would just pay for the bath. When we got there he had Pre Groomed" her and had shaved a strip right down the middle of her back. After 4 hours they had bathed her half way dried her and shaved a strip down her back. And then charged us 30.00 Never again will I use their grooming services.

I brought 2 dogs in to be fully groomed. 1 teacup pomeranian and 1 australian shepherd. Usually I am very pleased with the results, however $125.00 later i need to take my Shepard elsewhere it looks like they only brushed and him and gave him a blow dry. His hair is still really long and looks terrible. They said oh sorry thats the best we can do! Then dont charge me for a full groom!! My poor pomeranian has no fur!!! Literally no fur except his head!! They even shaved his pom pom off his tail!!! I understand shaving his fur down due to knots and such but his tail?! Not pleased at all!!!!!! I gave 3 stats only because the sweet lady in the front made my day allot better!!

My experience was awful, the manager kicked me out for having my scooter in the store and told me I had to leave it in the front if I wanted to come in. I was already in the back of the store grabbing my new puppy its food. They didnt allow me to grab the food to purchase it either. I explained how I wouldnt even ride it and I would just leave it, but not in the front of the store where people could steal it. She shrugged her shoulders and said sorry in a rude tone. I definitely will not go here again, and would recommend you go to Walmart before this petco.

Waited by the fish for 10 min after the manager saw me and walked off. Went to the cashier to get help. Manager(KATIE) was soo disrespectful when she did help. Stood by the register while I checked out to write no guarantee on the receipt for the fish. Im not going to keep my receipt for 30 days in case my 1$ fish doesnt make it. What a slap in the face. She behaved in an assumptive manner. Im discouraged from ever shopping here. Half way through her service, I was tempted to walk out and go somewhere else.. Ill never come back.

Went in the morning with my family to get a budgie As we are looking my little sister wanted a picture with one of the budgies Some rude lady who works there, walks up to us to tell us we werent allowed to take photos of the animals Instead of asking if we needed help or politely tell us we couldnt take photos she was very rude to us. There are no signs stating that we cant take photos. Ive gone to several other petcos and no ones ever said anything about it

Its a nice store but the lady that helped us hasnt smiled and maybe 30 years and she made sure to write on my receipt no return she was questioning me not to sell the little animal I wanted than said store policy I buy other items for the pet before she can sell it to me and she told me she cant sell it eventually I got it but no return whatsoever stories great but customer service wasnt good all right after reading the other reviews her name is Katie...
