DO NOT! I REPEAT, DO NOT GO HERE FOR AN OIL CHANGE! I have tried 3 different times to get my oil changed - each experience was worse than the first. First experience I had, the gentleman told me they couldnt do it so close to close (they close at 7 and I got there at 6). Next experience - I got there earlier, around 5, and was told it would be an hour and a half wait. I asked why so long? He told me they sent home most of their staff and were short handed (Why would you send home all your staff to the point where youre now short handed?!) I said ok, how many people are ahead of me? He said one (one oil change takes an hour and a half?!). I didnt have time to wait, so I left. The most recent experience was today. An older gentlemen was assisting me and instantly asked what kind of oil I take. I advised high mileage oil - I dont know the exact number or anything. He said something under his breath then demanded I open the hood. I did it and he said yea, nope! I cant do this because we dont have any left. Youre welcome to go inside, buy it in there, than I will change the oil for an additional $10. I said, if you have it inside, why cant you use that and charge me the normal price? He advised, "thats just not how things are done here." I said ok, then Ill just have to go somewhere else. As I was walking back to my car to get in and drive away, he was telling me to leave and move my car while I was at it then. What?! I was already leaving! Then he continued to advise that I was blocking the bay for other paying customers? There was no one else there! I would have been a paying customer had he not tried to rip me off and been so rude to begin with! The whole experience was less than ideal and there were multiple experiences that were less than pleasant. I wouldnt take my car back here again.

I work at this Walmart, and while I agree that electronics, fabric center, and other parts of GM are horribly understaffed, I would have to say the fresh/grocery side is usually looking pretty good. I work in the meat department and have for two years now. I am off Monday and Wednesday, so it usually starts to fall apart around then, but all weekend I am there personally making sure that I can get as much product on the floor and available to the customers as possible. You complaining reviewers need to realize that you can not get exactly all the help you want in a store that offers so much. You should be thankful that we even have a fabric center at all, not dissatisfied with the staffing over there. No, we dont always have someone working in fabrics. And yes I agree oftentimes there are not enough people working in electronics, sporting goods, house wares, etc.. You have to realize that because we offer such a large variety of departments and products, we can not cater to every little whim of every little whiny customer. Though like I said, come into the meat department (on most days) and you shouldnt run into any problems, save for us being out of something due to on-hand errors and warehouse shortages. Please consider all that goes into running a store this large, before running your large mouths.

I will NEVER go back to this Walmart again. The first and last time I went there was on Sunday , April 9th. My husband and I go in for some work gloves he needed for the following day. This was the only place we could think of to go to at 12:40 am . We get to the cash register and the cashier (I believe her name was Debby or Abby) was checking out this (hmmm how should I rephrase this) Caucasian guy with the friendliest attitude and cheerful smile asking him if he found everything ok. When she was done she said what any other person would , "have a great night". We were up next and this lady said absolutely NOTHING. My husband broke the silence and asked her how her night was going , she answers with a dull "good". He proceed to make a joke and still nothing from this lady. She finished checking us out handed us our receipt and said nothing more besides "heres your bags". HAHAHAHA f***ing ridiculous ! I was so upset on the treatment we received. Im American , born and raised here in Utah to Mexican parents and I KNOW for a fact this lady was racist because as soon as we started walking away from the cash register the Caucasian couple right behind us got the friendly smiley cashier we oh so wanted :)

I dont know why people are complianing so much about Walmart. Honestly, people are whining about stuff that has nothing to do with the store or its management... "One time a guy took the parking spot I wanted, so I asked the cashier for a discount on milk, but he said no."....And Its fine for rich folks to spend more money at "fancier stores" and feel good about making a difference in the world, but some of us (most of us) are too poor to be altruistic. Walmart is close, and has saved me countless times. Sure; some employees arent enthusiastic, therere wierd people who shop there, and they NEVER have enough checkout lanes open. But no other store is open at 2:00am, when my kid gets a fever and needs Tylenol. The price differences at other stores are astounding (not just stuff made in china; cereal is cheaper). Ill continue to shop at Walmart until I win the lottery, or get rich enough to be scrupulous. (Also learn to use proper grammar before leaving messages on the "internets" then youll know gooder where the walmerts is.)

This store is huge with great variety and low prices, but the checkout lines are usually extremely long, and the workers do not seem to go out of their way to help or to be friendly. I was there tonight and there were probably 30 to 40 people in the self-help checkout line. It looked like a soup line from the Great Depression. There were two or three other lanes open besides that, and they all had giant lines. That is pretty common for this place. I guess that is how they save money, by not having many checkstands open. I was lucky to get in a lane behind a couple who looked like they were buying a whole years worth of food storage. It was a good 10 minutes just those two getting checked out, and still my lane was probably the fastest. I try to avoid coming here as much as I can. When I need to stock up on shaving cream and other similar stuff, I will come here because of the good prices and buy 8 or 10 cans so I wont need to come back anytime soon.

Its rare that retail is helpful. The second associate I approached was not only helpful but she was so humble about it. I was beyond tired, running on empty and was queasy, running around attempting to pickup random items I needed. Brittany was my silver lining when I truly needed it most. She made sure the online price was price matched at register, she walked a long ways to make sure I was taken care of. Let me know about the Walmart app and what to expect when looking for items listed as in stock in store. Do you know what happens when I get GREAT customer service?! I tend to overspend and shop at a store because of either a smiling friendly face and/or someone taking the time to make sure I can find exactly what I need. This is a big deal because I like to avoid the crowds or because shopping can be overwhelming and exhausting. Thank you for the great service!! :)
