I strongly recommned that you do not buy from Salt Lake City Bicycle at 2nd and 2nd. I brought my Trek Navigator into the store and asked the salesman to help me find a bike rack for it. The salesman recommend that I purchase the Trek Laidback Bike Rack. I purchased the rack and had them install it. On the way home, I noticed that the rack was jumping up and down every time I hit the slightest bump. When I got home, I inspected the rack and everything looked fine at first. And so, I went to internet to do some research on the bike rack i purchased. At the Trek website, it specifically states that the Trek Laidback Bike Rack "Fits only the Trek Pure model bike," and since my bike is the Trek Navigator model, it makes since that the bike rack will not function properly on my bike. On further inspection of the bike, I now see that the mechanic at Salt Lake City Bicycle bent the rack using a vice grip in order to "force" it to fit on my bike. In summary, since the salemen at Salt Lake City Bicycle did not even know that the bike rack they recommended to me was not designed to fit my bike, I conclude that they are not knowledgeable about the products they sale. I also think that since the mechanic bent my bike rack and forced it to fit on my bike, that they do shoddy mechanical work. I will not be making future purchases at Salt Lake City Bicycle for these reasons.

I come from a bike town in Davis California, and this place met my expectations. The service guy who helped me out Jordan was really cool. Treated me nice, polite and was very helpful. You knew right away after talking to him this man knows a lot about bikes. The bike was done the next day. Excited! I got a call from Jeremy around 5pm and told me my bike was ready. When I picked up my bike and walked it out the door, the chain fell off L.O.L. I had to take it back in and have the gears adjusted. This could happen to anyone. Just make sure you ride your bike around the block to make sure everything is in order before taking it home. Besides that little inconvenience, the prices are reasonable the service was great and I left feeling good about spending money there. This shop would make any Aggie back home want to do business. Thanks guys for a great shopping experience.

Im not a bike expert by any means, which always makes going to a bike store overwhelming and at times I have felt the "snobbery" of bike culture directed towards me. Ive been looking to get back into biking and went to several stores, but SLC Bike made me feel the most welcome and were the most helpful. Not a single question I had was dismissed or treated as unimportant or ill-informed. My guy Brandon helped me out with his wealth of knowledge - super cool, friendly, and great guy. Helped me test ride a couple bikes, even made some adjustments to suit what I wanted to try out, I never felt rushed, and Brandon never tried to hard sell me anything. Just pure customer service from beginning to end over a couple visits to the store. Picked up my new bike this morning and couldnt be more happier. Do yourself a favor, if you are looking for a new bike, SLC Bike is the jam.

Love this bike shop and the people. I dont write reviews normally but felt like I needed to give them the credit they deserve. Its been like 9 months since I purchased my bike, and Ive only had great experiences each time I return. My initial experience of purchasing the bike was excellent, but what truly stands out is how great everyone has been in working with AFTER the purchase. Every question Ive had, or problem I encountered with the bike Ive had the confidence that I can take it in and get an honest answer and help from people who care. Every person in the shop who works there is more than willing to help you out. Buying from a bike shop brings a lot more resources, tools, and information that you simply cant get elsewhere. Support your LBS and they will support you!

I was taking a trip to Salt Lake, and wanted to rent a bicycle for some road riding. I called Salt Lake City Bicycle before my trip and reserved a Trek road bike. Due to my schedule I could not make it to the store until just before they closed. The staff swapped out the pedals on the bike with the ones I brought from home, paperwork and all no issues, I was off riding quick. The bike was equipped with tools, patches (under seat bag), a pump, and two water bottle cages. The bike worked properly during the two rides I was able to take. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had maps and gave me insight on where to ride. The price was reasonable. The store is clean and well stocked. Great place!

I love this store. When I started looking for a good bike that fit me I found that a lot of other bike shops had a certain attitude about them. As if they were trying to weed out the recreational cyclists from the more serious. I never have felt that way at SLC Bicycle. They have always been more than helpful when helping myself or my wife with our cycling needs. My wife enjoys the Womens night there also and the specialists that SLC Bicycle is able to bring in. Everyone there is great, and I have a special thanks to Jon McCool. He has helped fit both my wifes and my own bike to us. Keep it up guys!

I discovered this shop biking around town and quickly became a fan of it. When I decided to upgrade my cheap hybrid to a road bike they were extremely helpful. Unfortunately, I was hit by a car shortly after and my bike was destroyed. In the three months of waiting for the insurance settlement they helped me get more familiar with my options for an upgrade. They are all extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. I went in so often that I think everyone on the staff knows me by name. They are fantastic people with the best service Ive ever experienced. Theres no other place Id go to buy a new bike!

I bought my first REAL bike from this store (meaning not a cheapo from Walmart or Amazon), and it is amazing. I love my bike. The people that work at this store are hands down the best. Brent is the owner, and he is wonderful. He can help you find whatever you need. Laurie is the one who helped me choose and get fitted to my bike. She is wonderful. She is so knowledgeable on everything cycling. I have come back to this store for all of my accessories, and anything bike-related that I need. Trek Bicycle SLC has my loyalty 100%. You should definitely get your bike from these guys!

I bought a tube from SLC Bike Co, and due to a manufacturer defect, it failed on me the very next day. I took my bike in to see if they would warrenty the tube, and they replaced it for me right away, no questions asked, no problems. They even did a mini-bike tune up for me while I was there. I use my bike to commute every day, so getting it back in working order fast was really important to me. Its going to need a little more work soon, and Im definately taking it back to SLC Bike Co. when the time comes.
