I knew I wanted to rent a hospital grade pump after a great experience using one with my first son and since we had moved I looked up a store nearby that may rent one and discovered Lactation Station. The woman helping me was wonderful and kind and walked me through everything. While I was signing the contract an older man who was also working kept talking over the woman and giving strange instructions for the care of the machine. It was uncomfortable enough to mention it to my husband but I had the pump and didnt give it much after though until... Six months later after continuing to renew the pump rental at 11PM we get a knock on our door and this man is asking for the breast pump back. My credit card had been stolen so my payment did not go through and since it was Christmas the woman and I had a hard time connecting. The last interaction was me asking via text if she was still at the store so I could give a different card and then I didnt hear back for two weeks. She reached out and I was traveling so had just gotten back in town the night he showed up demanding the pump. I was mortified he would take such extreme measures when I had been a paying customer whom had always renewed on time and mearly hadnt responded because it was the week of Christmas. He went on to yell and argue and said he wouldnt apologize for it being so late and saying bizzare things like "tons of people are out partying at this time" ... they rent breast pumps! Its a high chance their clientele is not out "partying" at 11PM. His argument woke up my four year old and my six month old and then once I gave him the pump and told him Id find another place to rent from he demanded I give him the money and wouldnt leave until I closed the door- which he pushed open again! Thank goodness my husband was home to tell him to leave once and for all. I am mortified! His poor wife that has to work under him and any woman who has to interact with him. I would never go back or send any woman here! Especially one with a newborn child.

As a brand new mom i needed a nursing bra and headed out to the lactation station. I had no idea of what i wanted, how i should wear it, or anything. From the name of the store i expected to get all the help i needed there. Once inside i met the woman who was touted as their fitter. She said she had 20 years experience and would definitely have something comfortable and attractive for me. As a woman who had never even experienced bra shopping until pregnancy, i was shocked when she eyed me for size rather than measure. I trusted her and began to try on the bras she offered. I modeled the bras to make sure she approved, as its one thing to be comfortable and another to have a flattering correct fit. I found two i liked that she said fit fine and i made my purchase. Once home i modeled for my mother. She was horrified that the cup was baggy and unflattering and said i had bought the wrong size. I was frustrated because i had been "fitted" and i had to make the trek back to refund my purchase. Once back there i was stunned when i was engaged in an argument with the woman who "fit" me as well as her husband and was made to feel everything was my fault. No apology was forth coming and insults were rained on my head. I was told there were no refunds for bras i could only exchange. I explained that it was their mistake and it had only been one day previous and i didnt wish to buy another bra from a person who couldnt fit me properly. I was insulted, the customer is obviously not number one in this store, their ego is. I will never shop there again and i highly recommend you dont either!

I needed a couple of nursing bras and couldnt find a whole lot of stores that carry nursing bras for big cup sizes. I was hesitant to go to this store after reading some of the reviews. The woman who helped me was nice enough, although she tried to get me to buy a bra without underwire which I just wont do. Im big enough to know that I look horrible and have absolutely no support without it. I wore an underwire bra with my first child and was fine. Anyway, I was firm with her and she wasnt rude, just acted as if I might regret it. I ignored that attitude and she helped select a few bras fitting my specifications. The reviewer who said she doesnt measure you is right. She simply asked me what I had been wearing and then took a look at the bras I tried on to approve the sizing. I didnt really mind. I know what size I wear. I paid less than I thought I would going to a nursing specialty store. I will probably go back in a couple of months to buy another bra. If it were up to me Id buy someplace that was less hands on, but thats just my personal preference. Unfortunately not every store has my size. Also the bra I was looking at buying at Nordstrom was ten dollars less at Lactation Station, which surprised me.

I have to say I never take the time to get online and write reviews but this place is amazing. I walked in with a too small nursing bra that was really painful to wear and walked out with a bra that fit. The amazing thing? The whole process took about 5 minutes! The knowledgeble owner didnt even need a measuring tape! She took one look at me, felt the side of my ribcage and came back with 2 bras that fit great. I didnt have to search and experiment with a bunch of different sizes and it was wonderful. It was especially great because my 3 week old baby girl was with me and I wanted to be fast. The 2 owner team also gave me some great advice about carriers and helped me find exactly what I needed to keep my baby girl comfortable. Aside from the great customer service, the store is very well stocked with the latest post pregnancy gear (they even had the belly bandit I was looking for) and the dressing rooms are really nice with plenty of space to put a carseat carrier or nurse. I would definately recommend this place to any nursing mom and I will be back.

This store has alot of unique products - and thats the ONLY reason I gave it 2 stars. I went there looking to purchase some accessories for my breast pump. When the store clerk realized that I was exclusively breast pumping, I received a MASSIVE guilt trip about how I should be nursing instead. I tried to explain that nursing had been unsuccessful for me - and that my baby had been in NICU because he wasnt feeding properly when nursing. I decided that breast milk from a bottle was better than nothing at all. The clerk took it on himself to make me feel like a failure and an idiot for not nursing. He spent 20 minutes asking me why I hadnt tried a million different methods. I know its a "nursing" store, but I thought they would be supportive of a moms decision to provide her son with the best nutrition possible through exclusive pumping. I never plan to go back to this store again - Ill go to another store where they keep their unwanted opinions to themselves.
