Ah, what can one say about Hobby Lobby. Its got pretty much everything you could need or want or impulsively buy in the world of crafting. Plus, theres the entertainment factor of some of the weird religious stuff you can find randomly throughout the store. The prices are pretty much what youd expect from a craft store- not as cheap as youd like to pay but youre going to get pretty much the same deal from places like Joannes or Michaels. The checkout is always super slow because for some reason the owner/operators have decided that not using UPCs is a good idea, so those poor cashiers have to enter in general class codes, prices, and sales for every item and narrate it as they go. As a result, their stock is not very reliable and if the cashier doesnt have the weeks discounts perfectly memorized its pretty much up to you to make sure everything is priced correctly. Also the music in that place is almost always nauseating. Its like being stuck in the worlds largest elevator for a manically Christian preschool.

Love this place to buy hobby stuff but their custom framing department needs some help. Took artwork in to have it framed they suggested I cut the boarder and glue it to a board but said that would affect the value of the painting. Who would even suggest such a thing? I had them stretch it instead. I was told it would be done in two weeks. I called the day it was due and they said they were swamped and would give me a call when it was ready. I called a couple of days later and found out they hadnt even worked on it because it was placed in an area no one checks. I went in a week later and found out the frame they ordered wasnt the right size so they had to reorder the frame and would give me a call once it was done. They called and left a message saying that Saturday stating the new frame was still the wrong size and would have to reorder the frame. I called that very day and canceled my order and went and picked up my painting.

If anyone knows me they know I am OBSESSED with HOBBY LOBBY (also the container store but thats a different post). I have been trying to purchase knobs for my kitchen cupboards and drawers but have been waiting for them to go on sale. I noticed yesterday online that they were 50% off but when I tried to order them I did not receive the sale price. I called today to find out if this was a website problem (since theyre closed Sundays); the customer service department gave me the discount plus an additional discount. The girl I talked to, Janie, was awesome. Amazing customer service. I know if I owned a business I would appreciate it when satisfied customers shared their experiences. Ill be putting this on google reviews as well but wanted everyone to know what a great place this is to spend your money! #christianbasedstore #greatcustomerservice #hobbylobbier4life

Terribly incompetent staff member. I came into this location looking for a frame and mat. The employee who helped me seemed very annoyed that I had asked for help. I told him very specific dimensions of a mat that would fit the $70 frame I had picked out. He disappeared in the back and cut a mat, then reappeared a few minutes later to get another mat, apparently since he had cut the first one wrong. Came back again with a mat that he told me would fit. Wrote a receipt for $18 for the $9.95 mat (apparently cutting it is an additional $8)? I got home and the mat doesnt fit the frame. At all. While trying to fit the oversized mat, the glass on the frame broke. So now Im out $88 for the now worthless frame and wrong sized mat. Find another craft store if you can. Ill never be back. Wish I could rate 0 stars.

Haha! I didnt think to snag a basket when I went in and shopped. While I had canvases packaged in slick plastic in one arm, talking on the phone with the other hand, I picked up some sculpey and small rings for a project. Put them in my jacket pocket because they were sliding around on the canvas, then took them out at the cash register. A manager took me aside after I stepped outside the store because they thought I shoplifted. Good store, good products, loads of variety. Friendly staff. And theyre vigilant. ;) Now I cant go inside any Hobby Lobby location (at least until I contact corporate and try to explain). lol

I went and bought some flowers this last week and was thrilled that they were on sale. I realized I wanted a few more so I ran back in a couple minutes later and when I went to check out the cashier told me that in fact they werent on sale. That was fine..... But I had just bought those flowers on sale. So I felt like I should have received the discount on the last few blooms because that was their bad, not mine. They refused however and I ended up leaving with no flowers and feeling frustrated with how I was treated. They lost my business. I went and bought the flowers I was looking for somewhere else.

Can they, like, put in a small mens section, with something gas powered, or power drills, or motor oil, or something? Because I am tasked with accompanying my wife here from time to time, and I just about always find myself bored to tears, and then she asks me whats wrong and I say "Im fine" and shes like "but youre crying" and then I say "Im just so happy to be with you right now" and then my tears start flowing even harder because I have to stay in hobby lobby. So Im not a fan. But if you want fake flowers and quilting supplies and home decorations, its good for that.

This store has everything you could need! Every time I find myself searching for something specific, from spray paint sealer to leather rivets, these guys carry it-in store (for those last minute projects that need done today!) or online- and inexpensively! Plus you can always use the online coupon to get it cheaper! The employees are helpful, knowledgeable, and plentiful (you can actually find one anytime, busy or not)! The store is clean and organized and you can get high quality items for not a lot of money.

I went in to buy beaded fringe. I only needed 1/3 yard. The portion she cut was damaged, when I asked if she could start the cut after the damage she was very rude and said she gave me an extra 3/8 of an inch. This was so I could rethread the beads myself. Thats basically like selling stained fabric and saying it will clean in the was. I would get it if there were a few yards with a couple of missing spots... But it was 1/3 of a yard. It was in such poor repair I spent 2 hours beading and mending it.

They offer everything a craft store has to offer. However I knocked down one star for price-you can find many things cheaper at local art stores or on amazon. Another star has been knocked down because of my experience with the staff. Ive been here plenty of times as I am an art student and Ive always had to find staff to help me, no one approaches me and another time an employee was loudly complaining about coworkers while working check out.
