I am nothing but dissatisfied with my purchase. I bought a couch from here on Saturday and told that it would ship on Monday and that I would get a phone call when it arrived on Tuesday. I had not heard anything all day so I called and found out it hadnt even shipped yet! I was told it would ship that night and I would get a call when it came in on Wednesday and not to worry about calling in. Same story on Wednesday though, no call and no shipment. When my couch finally arrived on Thursday I still didnt get a call, I had to call and find out if it arrived. I was then told it would be dropped off at my house by someone around 5:30 or 6:00 and that I would get a call when they were getting off the exit. I never got the call and they just showed up. Luckily my sister was home but she couldnt move the boxes and they just left them in the driveway and left her to it. She asked him to help her and pay hbim more but he just said give me my money and he left. I called to talk to Marty and got his wife instead. I told her everything that happened and that I was very upset. She said dont worry we will take care if this. I will call you tomorrow, dont worry about calling me and we will make this right. I did not receive a call on Friday and ended up calling on Saturday to see what was going on. She said they were going to refund me what we had to pay for the delivery service and that they had a check ready to go out in the mail. I waited all week and received nothing. I called on Friday to see what the issue was and she told me she had it sitting right there and hd not got a chance to put it in the mail! I waited another week and had tbhe same issue. Its been over a month now and I still have yet to receive anything. I will never return to actionj wood and I will never tell anyone to go there.

Seriously horrible customer service! Delivery was a disaster, due to empty promises and lack of follow thru by the people answering the phone. The day after the couch was delivered they called because I hadnt signed the 90 days same as cash contract. I told them I didnt sign it because the amount showed $115 higher than what they quoted me. They told me that I needed to call Progressive (90 days same as cash vendor) to figure out why and that if I didnt sign the contract they would come pick up the couch. After 30 minutes on the phone with Progressive, when I am at work on a busy Monday morning, I found out that the extra $115 is a 10% fee that Action assesses to anyone who uses the 90 days same as cash option thru Progressive. Funny that no one at Action mentioned that when I ordered the sectional and that they made me call Progressive to find out about it. I have used Progressive at other retailers before, like Mattress Firm and did not have the fee, so you could imagine my confusion about my contract amount being higher than I was quoted. But I better just agree and sign the contract or apparently theyre going to confiscate my new sectional and I can pretty much guarantee they wont refund the $75 in cash I had to pay the delivery people. At this point its not worth the fight. Discounted prices are worthless due to the hidden fees. There are plenty of other furniture retailers around with great customer service. I dont recommend anyone waste their time or money at Action Home Furniture!

I did not have a good experience. I purchased a sectional and headboard and full queen bedroom set. I hadnt heard from the store in almost 2 weeks so I called the store to see if my furnitures was in. Half of it was. The salesman told me to call back the next day at 2:00. He would be in at 1:00 and get everything organized. At 2:00 I went in to check and see if the furniture was ready for me to take and when I approached the salesman who sold me the furnitures he got mad at me and said, "Why are you here? You were suppose to call me at 4:00." REALLY? No, you were suppose to call me at 2:00 and I was suppose to pick up the furniture at 4:00. What blew my mind is that he knew I was going to purchase $2,000 for a new table, chairs and a long table to go behind the sectional couch....after his reaction towards me I left and will not go back! I sent a truck to pick up what was there. I want good customer service and if customer service is not a priority why should I spend my money at a store that has a salesman that doesnt give a rats @*%# if I purchase anything or NOT?? I called the manager and shared this with him....I dont think he really cared either.

Worst customer service Ive ever experienced! DO NOT SHOP HERE! We purchased a bed and sectional from Action. After we were told the delivery charge would be $80 they came back and said it would be $140 because of the distance. We understood, but then they came with the wrong color sectional. The delivery guys were told they had to leave the couch and couldnt take it back. We called Action and they said they delivered what was on the order form so they were just going to leave it. When we explained that they didnt order what we asked for they kept talking about how they were going to lose money if they take it back. They didnt care that they gave us completely the wrong thing. They were WAY more worried about losing money than giving us what we want. Eventually we got them to take the couch and give us a credit towards a new couch (less than what we paid). That does not include the full price of the new couch or the new delivery charge. So we end up being the ones losing money when they were the ones who messed up.

I was so excited to find a store that sold soft-sided waterbeds, but hesitant to purchase one that had to be shipped back to Las Vegas. Marty assured me that it would ship in two days and would be "no problem". While he was very friendly and the sale went smoothly, that is the last nice thing I can say about the place. It took over a week for them to realize my bed hadnt shipped and that was because I called to see what was going on. Then I got the run around...it was going to be shipped the following Monday, I would get it "soon". Three weeks later I have gotten the two boxes I was supposed to get, but pieces are missing. I have to get back on the phone and start fighting again. Meanwhile, I have no bed to sleep in! They offered no solutions, just apologies and a refusal to take responsibility for this disaster. I was told that I "have the worst luck"...that IS NOT customer service!

Darwin (Sales Manager) helped us buy a couch we liked, but they delivered it with black grease on it from the delivery truck. The delivery people were rude to my wife, and she called Darwin to complain. Darwin didn’t believe her, and she called me at work crying. I called Darwin to tell him that was unacceptable and he asked me to go home and see if what my wife was saying was true and, if it were, he’d make it right. I was upset about the couch, but I was most upset that he told me that my wife’s word didn’t matter and that I needed to go home and see if she was telling the truth. I guess you could call this sexist but at the bare minimum, it was extremely unprofessional. Action Home Furniture sold us a good couch at an affordable price, but Darwin didn’t treat my wife with respect. And for that reason alone we will likely not be doing business with them again.
