If you think I am being biased, just TRY the other stores and make your own assumption. I am pretty damn sure you wont regret the extra minute you take to try the other stores. It would save you a lot of money in the future, and you will feel a lot more satisfaction doing your own research when it comes to saving your own hard earned money. I remember going to this place awhile back, I was told by a couple of my new friends who used to frequent the shop about how much they were being cheating their customers, which was something I experienced before. I did not really care about leaving a review back then because I didnt really bother about "writing reviews", but after hearing that they still did not change their ways and continued to cheat, I figured its only fair that I save the trouble of newer customers finding a place to play. Back then I was a new player into Magic the Gathering, I did not even know when I was being cheated on by the players there, even when my brother reported to them, they kept defending their players because they were more frequent customers to the store. It kinda pissed me off considering how they rather defend a cheater just because he always returns to the store. And during a prerelease, they bugged the system to give more prizes to returning customers than newer players like me (when I just moved into Layton). Coming from someone who has visited all the card shops in the Layton area, this shop is the most expensive among the 3 (Game Den and Game Grid). I know a bunch of people that thought Heebeegeebeez was the cheapest just because they never knew that there were two other card stores in the area. In a nutshell, customer service here only exist if they believe you are gullible enough and that you will continue spending a lot of money on overpriced singles and sealed products.

It has recently come to my attention that this store is currently still in operation, which defies all logic and reason. Under no circumstances would I ever recommend a friend of mine to ever step into this store. I attended this location and only this location once and will never attend it again. I went there to play a two headed giant tournament on a Sunday (Sunday events are fairly uncommon for this region). The tournament started 2 hours late, while we waited for the owner to show up to play. There were more employees than customers in the event, and it was drastically over priced and abysmal prize support. I should have guessed as much, because people there didnt play in favor of playing some legacy with proxies, even talking about how ridiculous the prices are at this store. I have never had a worse experience at a store in my life. When I left there I felt like the store would be closed in a week and turn into a Subway or something that provides more value to the customer. I had to leave after round one because it was almost my kids bedtime, which I thankfully left at home or I might have been accused of being a bad father like the other customers who posted here.

Theyve lied to me and stolen from me. I will order stuff online before I set foot in this place again. I wont go off about the lack of selection and other lies Ive heard, Ill stick with how they steal from their customers! I prepaid for an item and had my receipt. They received it, sold it, then refused to refund me even with my receipt in hand! A friend was buying a statue, paid half, went back to pay the rest and theyd sold it and refused to refund the difference. I dealt with the lady manager, my friend with the guy owner. Its a store rotten from the top! You have been warned!

This place is a disgrace to the TCG community. Almost everything is price gouged, often above MSRP. Singles prices worse than star city games. Poor prize support for the staggering amount you pay for entry fee to tournaments. "This person is employed by a competitor." Not unless you consider fast food a competitor, although if this is a mistake I would not be surprised however, you should be sure of that before making a call like that to discredit me. Do not support this business, I wouldnt go here if it was the last running magic: the gathering store on the planet.

Heebeegeebees is a down right cool store, lots of awesome collectors items I have never seen anywhere else! Their selection for Magic singles and sealed product is better than most local game stores I have been to. Joey, the guy behind the counter most days, is one of the nicest guys you will meet. The stores regulars are most definitely rowdy, emotional, fun loving, and above all great to get to know. Overall, it is a mix of all these things that keeps me coming back to Heebs day after day! Keep up the good work guys!

Ive been going to the Ogden and Layton stores off and on for the last several years. The staff have always been friendly and genuinely interested in helping newcomers and regulars alike. Staff was more than willing to patiently help and teach my 9 yr old son MTG and Heroclix on several different occasions. They were also sensitive to his age and recommended good age appropriate books and games to play. If youre looking for a good community and helpful, friendly staff/managers/owners, this is a great place to go.

As an avid Magic the Gathering player I am always pleased by the wide selection of single cards available at any given time. They also run very well organized tournaments (FNM, Game Days, GP Trials and PTQs) and I dont feel like I am wasting my time waiting around. It is nice to know that they always have a Level 1 Judge on hand for all tournaments as well, even Friday Night Magic. I also have started collecting comic books and they have been helpful in their suggestions and they always have my comic hold right.

I first started going to heebeegeebeez a few years ago to pick up my first comic book, I love the Layton location for its selection and wonderful staff! The clerks have come to know me by name and are super friendly and helpful, they are also always on the look out for new things I might be interested in, I found a new favorite series off of recommendation from them. This store can seem small and out of the way but if you give it a chance you will make new friends and always be satisfied with wonderful product!

To the guy who says that they charge $15 for a "game of Magic", you dont know what youre talking about. I go up there weekly and dont have any problems with the employees. And to those who say that the regulars are "annoying and rude", have you tried getting to know them? And you want to call them immature? Its a comic and game store! Do you want them dressed up in business attire? All in all, its a good place, the atmosphere is nice, not too competitive, and theres pizza next door. Win.

I am pretty sure if you have spoken to someone that has experienced Hee Bee Gee Beez in Utah, all the comments have been similar. Hee Bee Gee Beez is a terrible shop, with poor customer service. Their prices are off the wall, and they try to justify ripping customers off with whatever pathetic excuse they can muster up. The players there are immature, loud, obnoxious, and rude. Go somewhere else, this place is terrible.
