American fork has always been awesome... until I sent my wife in there for a screw in our tire. Maybe it was cause she is a female and they were trying to pull the "you wouldnt know better game" or maybe they didnt want to honor the warrantype, I dont know. I always purchase the warranty and theyve always covered replacements on flats. They told her that the warranty was already filled on the tire with the screw and she had to buy a new tire. Also that the tread was low on the inside of a 2nd tire. Fortunately shes smart enough to call me. I told her no the warranty wasnt used up, that they only plugged that tire. If it was used up and a new tires was already put on then I would have done a warranty on the new tire anyway. They then told her that the tread was too low and they wouldnt replace it on warranty anyway. She then pointed out that the tire was bubbling on the inside and they told her it was cause she drove on a flat and she should just buy the 2 new tires but theyd cut her a deal. Then they tell her they didnt have the tires in stock but would put similar tires on. I told her not to put different tires on from the the other two that were still good. After going back and forth I told her to walk out of there and wed go somewhere else because they were trying to scam her and they werent getting anymore of our business. I then called the Lindon discount tires and they said that absolutely sounded like something that should be covered under warranty. So the next day she drove it over to Lindon and they replaced the tire under warranty and we bought the second tire that was low on tread from them. It turned out that it wasnt a matter of the tire not being in stock but that the tire was no longer being manufactured. They put on similar tires and we left with 2 new tires. I was completely surprised that American fork discount tire would try to scam us. I guess they are just another vehicle shop that will try to scam a female as opposed to a male. Never had issues with them when I shipped there until I sent my wife by herself. Completely disappointed.

My tires were frequently rotated but were worn down and needed to be replaced, so I went in to my local DT location(AF). I was assisted by the GM at this location and he checked my tires which still had 20,000 miles under warranty. I was told that I would only receive credit for 2 of the 4 tires because they were too worn. I was told the wear was due to a mechanical issue and that it must be my alignment. My alignment was spot on so I was confused with his refusal to grant me the warranty credit. I have been a discount tire customer for 10+ years and Ive never had an experience like this. I chose to go to another local discount tire location where I let them assess my tires(to see if their analysis was the same) and they gave me the full warranty credit towards new tires. I know this location is closest to me, but after this move by the store manager to short me what I was rightfully due, Ill be taking my tire business to other Discount Tire locations. Believe it or not, this same day, my wife went to get tires rotated on our family car and the weights that are placed inside the tire for balancing were incorrectly positioned. She left after they finished and heard clicking noises and that something was rubbing. She went back and they told her they couldnt hear anything. After her further persistence, they opened the tires and realized that a new employee had improperly installed the balancing weights in the tire. Mistakes happen, but their excuse was that a new kid was not trained well on how the weights were to be applied. If a new kid was doing the work, is there not a supervisor that checks off their work before allowing a vehicle to be returned to a customer in this condition?? Doesnt that give you the warm fuzzies knowing that we were going on a road trip the next day?! Theres not much more for me to say about our experience here. I think you get my drift... "It takes months to find a new customer and only seconds to lose one."

I have always liked Discount Tire and I especially enjoyed working with Joe for the time he was managing this store. I have not had a chance to get to know Lance yet but hear he is great. With price and value in mind, I dont think I have ever had a complaint with them. I am a bit partial to this store since its the main store I have frequented over the last 10 years. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the time management problem that seems to exist. I had two vehicles in this location in the last week and a half for tires and each time I scheduled an appointment to make sure I got back to work in the allotted lunch hour. The first vehicle I took in for an appointment at 1:00 and walked to Costco while I waited. They told me it would be 45 minutes max. I was at Costco for about 30 minutes but with the walking time, it was at least 45 minutes. When I arrived back at the store I saw my car outside the garage waiting for me...the problem was, they hadnt even had it in yet! I was a full hour late getting back to work and missed a team meeting because of it. The second vehicle I took in was just two days ago on March 14th. I was having all 4 tires replaced and I called them to make an appointment and told them that I needed to make sure I would be done in 45 minutes or less because of what happened last time. They all but assured me it would not happen again. You can guess the ending. Same thing happened, they went an entire hour over. There is no reason to offer appointment scheduling if it doesnt serve its purpose, to keep a schedule! Lance, please fix this problem, its enough to make me look elsewhere if it were to happen a third time. I am much more patient than I used to be, but if I cant trust the process to work so I can get back to the office in time for meetings then I need another option.

Been going to this location for probably 15 years used to love it when Joe was the boss. Family members went in by Joes advice being told they would get the same discount and Davis an employee there gave it to them. Needing new tires myself my husband went today and asked for Davis where lance (the manager) took over and said he could help and told my husband he could get the same deal my brother got the previous day. Lance told my husband to his face he would honor the deal we have been getting for YEARS through the old manager and then did not apply any discount to his bill. I called to try and get this resolved and Lance tried to give me the run around about how I got the best deal for the tires which is the same price i quoted at 3 places. He finally agreed to refund the discount he promise and didnt give. He refunded a portion of it but was very rude to me when I went in he said I was stealing money from his kids and he didnt have to honor the old discounts we used to get through Joe. He was stealing money from ME and MY family by being greedy and not honoring the same discount both my siblings got the day before and that we had been getting as loyal customers for over 15 years. We bought 3 brand new sets of tires in 2 days and this is how we get treated? Tried to guilt trip a pregnant woman and say Im stealing money from his kids wanting the same discount Ive always gotten there? I will never go back to this branch EVER AGAIN I will drive to Riverton to see joe. 1 star for Davis honoring the discount to my siblings and terrible satisfaction for the manager taking over the sale to my husband when he asked for Davis and not giving us the same price.
